  1. Were they up prior to surgery? It goes hand in hand with fatty liver. Mine have returned to normal just months after surgery. They will probably do an ultrasound to confirm. Hope it's all ok.

    Chicken

Come back to it in a month. That and turkey breast are over half of my diet.
  3. Take the long view. If you follow the plan, you will lose the weight. I have weighed every single day since Aug 4, and I have worried. It's not worth obsessing over. It will come off, commonly in a stair step fashion. One week you will lose 7 lbs, and then the next you won't budge. Start trying on clothes. That's better than the number on a scale anyway.

    Not the ending I thought.

The only thing you will probably welcome me saying is that I am so sorry about what you have been through. I couldn't imagine waking up to that. I had scared myself silly over the liver shrinking and the possibility of waking up without having the surgery completed. That said, you're just over the typical BMI for insurance approval. No one here would suggest that it will be easy, or we wouldn't be getting surgery to overcome our weight problems, but you really aren't so far gone that you cannot lose the weight on your own. I know that wanting to add to the family is a very strong motivator. I know that wanting to reduce the daily pains of being heavy is a strong motivator. It all still comes down to calories in vs. calories out. Heal up and get on with it. None of this is for nothing. Best of luck.

    Time off

I was back after one week. You never know about complications, but if there are none, you should be feeling fine to do that type of work.

    So....about my pee.

I had the same reaction after coming off of lisinopril. It's a good thing. Congrats on the new start.

    Clothing changes?

Wait to buy any winter clothing. You'll likely begin to go down sizes soon, but you can always buy at the time for the right fit that will last.
