  4. Maybe it's the wine? I kind of doubt it. Just a normal stall. I bet you're back under your low this week. I went to a beer festival and got crazier than intended and was up like two pounds before dropping 4 three days later. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. I hate that for you. They'll get you through this but if you decide to change Emory Bariatrics was the best thing I could have hoped for. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  9. Think of what you have gone through to get here, the reasons you have come so far, and the things you want out of the surgery. Look at before and afters. I get being nervous but don't forget what brought you here. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Shouldn't be a problem if you didn't gain. I have Cigna.

    Fear of Failure

That's a lot of people on this forum. Be sure to discuss your eating issues with your surgeon to determine the best surgery for you. But the surgery is not just restrictive. It also gets rid of most of your hunger. That may not be enough with emotional or compulsive eating but for me it's been as important as the restriction so far. Good luck. The pace race

You're doing great. I've found the surgery is not about losing fast as much as it is about losing consistently. Stick with it.

    Potatoes

It's high carb so a Soup built of that and cream may not be your best choice. At the same time Penn Gillette lost 100 lbs on a potato and salad diet in like 3 months. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. Weighed 298 the day I got home from surgery on August 5. I'm down to 250 in under 3 months.

    3 weeks out, food volume?

At that point, we were directed to eat 1/4 to 1/3 cup per meal. 5-6 meals per day.
  21. If you're eating 300 calories of chicken breast then you're eating about 10 oz unless it's fried. I don't think that's possible. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. I used to love food. I always wanted to eat the best of everything when we would eat and I cooked new things all the time. I'm almost three months out and I am constantly eating the same things. Don't get me wrong, I don't find eating to be a chore right now. And some of it is wanting to make the right choices. But, somehow it seems like my head has been reprogrammed to not care about eating like I used to. I would have no problem wasting money or time for a small portion of something good now, but I just haven't had the desire to do it. I see a lot of people with temptation from the start so clearly not everyone is like this. Any others out there experiencing this? I'm fine with it. Seriously. Just curious of others. And if you're long sleeved, does it ever revert back? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  24. Ah. I started Metamucil within 2 weeks, maybe sooner. I am pretty sure my doc told me I could immediately. Gas has not been a problem w the chili though. Not eating that much. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. I am almost three months out and I have been eating vegetarian chili regularly for almost two months.
