Vicki, do'nt think about how long its going to take to get the extra weight off. Just take it one day at a time and concentrate on what you should do for that day. That's what i'm doing to help myself get back on track. :scared2:

Hi Ladies, Well I went for my appt last tues and was up 12lbs (291)!:tt1: So I did get a fill of just under .7cc ..it seems to be working although I could be little bit tighter. I weighed today on my scale and was 287 so it's starting to come down. Maybe I can lose 15lbs by my next appt in 6 weeks.

wow..you'll prolly still be there around 1:15 pm. I checked my messages today and they left an appt message on my phone for another patient..sighs.

Val, what time is your appt tomorrow? My appt is at 1:15

My appt is next tues.. I wish I could come in now, I am constantly hungry! :tongue2:

I can crochet a little too but never learned how to knit. When do you go in for another fill? I'm up a few more lbs too..can't wait to get my fills back.

For anyone interested, there is a Salsa/Zumba class coming up tomorrow at El Buen Amigo on Elmwood Ave. tomorrow at 4:30. The class is only $8.00 and the first half hour will be Salsa (beginners level 1 & 2) then the second half will be the Zumba! Hey Maggie, I'll tell ya right now, I was scarred! What helped me was having a band buddy who was going through it around the same time I was ( Hey China :frown: ) ..Try to find yourself a band buddy and definantly use this forum and the online chat available here...that really helped me a lot! Even the night before my surgery, I was on lapbandtalk chat getting support and hand holding. Just make sure you do whatever they ask you to do ..to the tee.. especially the pre-op weightloss, I hear Dr. P. is a stickler about that. You'll do well:thumbup:

I just got off the phone with Vicki and she's doing really well! She sounds nice and strong...Dr. H. came in the room and told her everything looked good and that she can go home today...she has to make sure she does'nt get a fever. Oh and he said she had moderate scar tissue around her band/stomach which made it a little difficult for him..the surgery took like 3 hours! Anyways she said Heeey to everyone and she'll be online when she can! :thumbup:

Vicki, you will definantly be in our prayers.. you know that Dr. H. will take good care of you so try not to worry..ok.

Vicki, I'm so sorry about your band. Honey, you are grieving your band..it is apart of us, and it would only be natural to grieve it. Maybe after the 2wks of liquid it'll fall back in place?? How are you feeling today?

Wow Vicki... You're only 27lbs from your goal! You're doing real good! You'll probably make that goal by this summer Don't worry about being an anomoly ...its good to be different :wink: Let us know what happens.

Oh and a glass of white wine..for the anti-oxidents:rolleyes2: Good thing I did burned some of those calories by doing Contra Dancing (like square dancing). It was fun! Only problem with it was too much spinning..I was dizzy as hell afterwards!:ohmy:

I decided to try a more natural approach first before using the antibiotics. I think it's working...I did'nt have any heartburn today. I did stick to more softer foods like turkey stuffing, softly cooked string beans, a little mac&cheese and cranberry sauce....um and brownies and a little pie for dessert:blink::ohmy:

Hey Vicki, I was having heartburn all lastnight too. I think it was the chef salad I had for lunch and the broccoli soup I had for dinner. I think I may have to do semi soft for a bit until my stomach heals.. I am trying a natural suppliment thats suppose to kill H-pylori called. Mastica (also called mastic gum), it comes in capsule form and I 4 a day. I've only been taking it for about a week and half and it seems to be working. Oh and I also take peptobismal to help coat my stomach..anyways if you keep having the heartburn try prilosec and the peptobismal. That'll "probably" help.

Hi Maria, My appt was for tomorrow but I had to change it to March 23rd . I hope you're able to get your fill tomorrow. Sorry about your breakup ..atleast he waited until after your surgery to hit you with that bad news.
