  3. Hi Jen, Congrats on your "inbetweenguy"! Do you use a portable DVD player near the pool for the Water Aerobics cd? I must not be "growed-up" yet, went to the bar Sat night and had a good time burning them calories. I was dancing with three guys at once! lol ...don't know how that happened??? One minute I was dancing by myself ..the next, they had me surrounded ...I was scurrred lol! It was good time.
  4. I could bring Turkey Burgers, and a ball to play volleyball. Maybe someone can bring a batmitton<sp?> set.
  5. It's difficult. I'm trying to get back focused. I went to the Greek Festival and had some lamb, I loved it but my gallbladder did'nt...it messed with me for like 3 days. I might have to have it removed. Another setback:mad:
  6. Cynthia, you are really doing it gurlfriend! Keep up the good work!!!:waytogo:
  7. Hi Val, The 10th would work best for me, but I can still the 11th. Let us know if and what you want us to bring. OUr first lapband picnic! It's going to be fun!
  8. When I had the heartburn, I had to have most of the fluid in my band removed and after awhile I started gaining some of the weight back (almost 20lbs in total). Now that the heartburn is resolved and i'm at a pretty good fill level, the weight is finally starting to come off again. The issue has been ongoing before the band. I made the mistake of having lamb and had to pay for with pain and a lot belching (blech!). I know have to have the gallbladder removed but i'm totally chicken *cluck, cluck, cluck* lol.

I'm glad you're settling in with your band. :) Do you ever use the chat program here?

  9. Val, you should also talk to people who have had the grastric sleeve and see how they like it. Also, do as much research as you can so that you'll make the best decision for you.
  10. Congrats on getting approved. Keep your band if you can but if you can't then definately go with the gastric sleeve.
  11. Hi Fredricole,

Congratulations! How is everything going now that you are in lap-band world.

I had a little setback with heartburn but that has been resolved..NOW I maybe having problems with my gall badder .. if it ant one thing its another! lol

  12. How about the 2nd week in July or the last week of June?
  13. Hi Val..er Veronica :-) I would love to do the breast cancer walk but I can just make walking Delaware Park! lol.. Picnic in your backyard would be a great idea for me since I do'nt have the enhanced license yet. :cursing:
  14. Yeah it seems to stay for a little bit and then it goes away. Next thing you know..restriction again. This banded life has a definate learning curve .
  15. Well, although I had (still have heartburn issues not related to the band), I would have chosen the band. I LOVE my BAND ..when I had to have most of the fluid removed and the hunger pangs started coming back *fiercely* thats when I could tell the difference between being banded and not. Hopefully, nothing will happen with my band but if it did and I have second choice, it would definately be the Gastric Sleeve. From my understanding, the part of the stomach they removed makes most of the hunger hormone and the stomach does'nt stretch back out the same. Good question Rain!
  16. A lapband picnic sounds like fun! Minus the PBing in the bushes *chuckles at Rain* Let us know if you really want to do it!
  17. LOL ..OK If Y'all insist. I'd be more than happy to make a couple of em! :crying:

  19. That's probably mostly more baby weight.. I def would'nt worry about it. 15lbs is nothing atleast its not 40 or 50lbs of preggy weight! I have a comfortable restriction now.. I can still eat most things. Felt like something wanted to get stuck this morning but then it went down.. I think it was a peice of BBQ from yesterday.
  20. To all the mommies... Have a happy mother's day!
  21. LOL Gotta get those deals where you can get em!
