  2. Hi Jenn, I believe they do but it also depends on the plan you have with Univera..if Lapband (Bariatrics)is included. You can call your Insurance company with your policy number and they can tell you if you are covered or not. Good Luck :biggrin:
  3. Well I went in Tuesday and got a really nice fill. It's working nicely! I did drop 2.2% of body fat but went up in water weight so the scale showed 2lb gain :biggrin: but Sue said not to worry about it cause its not real weight gain. Have anyone else met Sue.. She's the new NP and really very nice. Anyone have anything interesting happening this weekend??
  4. Hey Val, I had a very good weekend, went to my cousin's party ate and drank a little too much considering I have to go in tomorrow to be weighed . Friday I went bar hoping with my cousins and some friends to help her pass out flyers for a party she's giving, we were about to leave the one bar to go to the City Grill but just-so-happen her fiancee showed up so we cut it short and they headed out and the rest of us went to another bar. It was crazy cuz we would have been there around 2:30...time of the shooting. Amazing how things work out sometime. Well tomorrow at 12:45 i'll see just what damage is..
  5. Vicki, I'm the same way too aboit carbs.. I'm still fighting with the same 5lbs up..then down..then up again :thumbup: I called today to see when my next appt was ( I thought it was tomorrow) when I called, I found out that I was'nt in the computer system at all :thumbup:?? I thought Tammy put me in on my last appt since she wrote out my appt card. Anyways..I was put back in to go for a fill with Dr. H. next week tuesday *hopefully*.

  9. Hi AnnyBear, The picnic is going to be Sept 11th in Val's (Veronica) yard. You can bring anything you like...ex: hot dogs, baked chips, fruit, ice-cream The only time I noticed my port was when I would lean against something and press into it too much. I would forget all about it until I looked down and see the scars then I would be like... What da hell did I do! lol.. But It was all good after some of the wieght started coming off.

  18. UGI = Upper Gastrointestinal (pertains to the esophagus, stomach and the first part of the intestine) If they're doing a UGI series ..means you have to do a barium swallow test so they can see how the fluid is going down the esophagus, and past the band and first part of the intestine.

  20. Protein Bar Recipe Preheat oven to 350 4 egg whites 1/4 cp. of P. Butter crunchy 3 scoops of vanilla protein powder 1/2 cp. splenda or 8 pks. of trivia 2 cp. of oats 1/2 cp. of flax seed meal (if you like) mix well and put onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper so it won't stick. Bake 20-25 min. Let it sit for 30 min. Cut into 10 slices (I’m going to drizzle a little dark semi-sweet chocolate lightly over them) 145 cal, 13 carbs, 5g sugar, and 10g protein Looks like a good recipe..thought I'd share it.

  22. That would be yummy on a hot like this. I like to use frozen fruit when I make my smoothies.. it tastes like a real milkshake. Enjoy that not-hungry feeling while you have it! :thumbup:
  23. Do you feel any different having the sleeve? Was recovery more painful or about the same? Are you on liquids and if so, how long?
