Try dealing with Ashley. She is Dr. Schmitts advocate but they work close together from what I understand. She is a little more dependable and seems to be leading patients in their proper avenues. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I seen my cardiologist today to get the "all clear" per my surgeons order. I have 2 leaking valves (pretty common) and a good recent echo report, but my surgeon wouldn't touch me with the ok by my cardiologist. He seemed baffled the my surgeon needed it but I felt better knowing I had a good report by my cardiologist. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

His patient advocate does seem very distracted. I might switch to dr. Schmitt too but that was who I originally wanted to see....they scheduled me to see him on a day he wasn't going to be there. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

This scares me some (at the risk of sounding vain). Is there something that can be done to prevent it, or hopefully reduce it? Is it because of deficiency? Does it grow back? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Being self pay, I'm excluded from a lot of the lengthy preop insurance requirement but I still have to meet with w dietitian once and be release for surgery by my cardiologist (I have a leaky valve).....he said caffeine is ok, carbonation has to go, and start low carb/high fat diet.....I'm terrible at configuring labels, good carbs, bad carbs, good fat, bad fat.....any recommendations would be helpful. What Doctor? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I went through the same thing today in Birmingham Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
The only way to determine a positive pylori result is a stool specimen. You could have had hpylori when you were 10yrs old and the antibody will still be in your blood. Stool can confirm an active antigen. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
