How much is too much? how fast is too fast??

But remembering that some of the time immediately post-op is for recovery not loss, that is a significant (but not unheard of) loss. It also depends on how much you have to lose in total - someone who has to lose 200 pounds will initially lose more than someone who may need to lose 50. Bottom line - if you are healthy, and your doctor is not raising any flags, then accept it - and rejoice! -
Oh Turler, that must be very discouraging! I'm sorry this is happening to you; I hope when you do get a fill it is successful.

OK Ezma, you had your small break in your pattern, time to get right back on track! I noticed posting was slow later in the week - in my happy little place, I just decided it was because everyone was very busy doing exercises or having fun or enjoying life. I in fact just signed in with the intent to wish everyone a good "icecream/cigarette/weakness of choice" - free weekend...unless of course, the weekend is the time when you allowing your indulgance. I am certainly looking forward to my nuts tomorrow! OK VVs, we can do this!

Hi Aggie I am one of those people who eats 'real food'...none of the smoothies for meals for me! Like you, this isn't a diet, it is a life style, and my lifestyle isn't having Protein shakes or bars for meals. I too am a SLOW loser - I average one half a pound/week....well I did, until I hit the plateau I am on. Oh well, I have hopes this too shall pass!

WOW! I didn't know this, and I just dragged 2 garbage bags of gently used LE clothes to Goodwill. So now I know for next time. Thanks for the reminder; wish I had seen it sooner!

JFro - good luck with your surgery. and yes, DH and I eat together. I really don't notice a portion difference, as I am spending much more time chewing - we finish at the same time.

But, can they maintain that level of exercise and food portion control when they go back to the 'real' world? Unless they can sustain it, I wonder about the long term (i.e. 5+ year) success rate. And, working so hard that I vomit? Nope, that just ain't in my plans.
