That is just fabulous! Congratulations!! Now just make sure you get rid of those bigger clothes - box them up, and get them out of your closet. You are going to need room for all the new stuff!
-
Congratulations! As muscle occupies less space than fat, it is very likely that your muscle mass has increased, and fat has decreased, therefore you can lose a dress size, and still have the same weight.
-
Welcome back Glou...I was wondering where you were, and how things were going. Glad to hear that your resistance is strong - Yeah!!! And yes, I think one addiction at a time is more than enough...incremental small steps. RSG - Are you out there? How are you doing? I know you are trying for a double withdrawal - nicotine and icecream... poor thing! Have you started your yoga yet?
-
I too love the fall colors, and the crunching leaves, and the smell of burning leaves, and so on...but sadly, I also am aware of what's coming soon after. And please send me your addess - I think I could send some snow your way...5"? I can do better than that!!!
-
Ezma - keep up the effort! You can do it! Perhaps you should consider not buying icecream even when the family returns; do they know that this is your 'weakness'? Perhaps you can enlist their help in keeping the demon substance away?

No movement - holding steady for the 4th week in a row. Curses indeed - I think I invented a few new swear words...
-
Affectionately known as 'white rain', snow is that natural bountiful substance which turns every tree into a frosted decoration, and nature trails into postcards...and every roadtrip into a new adventure designed to master the art of steering on ice, skidding, and of course the joyous sport of splashing pedestrians with slush....10 points per pedestrian!!

Where do soups stand in the Lap Band food plan?
tapshoes replied to marie715's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Soups are wonderful - but again, it depends on the type of soup. For example, I make a very hearty lentil soup - tons of protein, lots of veg, very little fat. But a cream-based thin soup would not be the best choice. Chunky, thick, protein based soups are great. -
Yesterday B: 1 oz cheese L: 1c yogurt with sliced beaches D: 1 hot italian sausage, 5 brussel sprouts with cheese sauce S: 1/3 cup nuts

despite the scales failure to move AGAIN, I have a goal for Oct 31, and it won't happen unless I do. (But frankly, my heart isn't in to it today..) Renewed - how was your 5K run? -
Shiny - I'm sorry that position didn't work out; I'm sure you and your hubby are disappointed. I hope something equally as interesting does show in your future. And now, for Tapshoes' story of woe. Despite the added exercise, the nut embargo, and the increased Protein, the scale defied me. I am very disappointed, and very de-motivated...I am not angry (which is an emotion I could use to fuel my zeal), but rather, I am saddened. Damn it, I have been working so hard at this, and pushing myself every day to do that little bit more, swing my arms a little higher, walk a little faster, stand a little more when I am on the phone, etc.......I haven't given up, yet, but I am so very disappointed. oh well, maybe next week.:rolleyes2:

Michelle, even a small change is a step in the right direction. Ummm... What size bottle are you talking about? Regarding the 'packets' - If you are talking about Crystal Light or similar things, they are ok - but in moderation. It isn't so much the sugar that is the issue, but rather the abundance of the other chemicals that just isn't healthy. But all things in moderation. RSG and Glou - I've missed your postings; I hope you are both doing well. Ezma - I enjoyed my serving of nuts last night - and cursed and lamented that they were going to be put away again for another week! They were SOOOOOO good.

The first Monday of fall...and nothing is going to make that sound good!! Fall is just a nice way to say that snow, ice, slush, shovelling, stinky boots, smelly wet wool, and 'hat hair' are soon to come.:rolleyes2::cursing:

I completed my extra third exercise event for this week yesterday...I spent 6 hours outside creating a new garden - lots of digging, turning soil, carrying buckets of compost, removing sods, hauling rocks....I am still sore today! So, although it wasn't an extra walk, I think I burned calories and I know I was moving all muscles groups doing hard physical (but fun) labor. Tomorrow is weigh-day...and that scale better move!!
-
Another nut free night! I deferred it until tonight as I was just too tired last night to indulge....I really wish these periodic bouts of insomnia would go away - they are messing with my routine!
-
Come on, banders! BBK's lead needs to be bigger...vote!

Well, since I've been up all night, I can say I am pissed! How am I supposed to function today on no sleep? And yes, BurgerKing guy is creepy. And so is (The Artist Formally Known as) Prince....music is great, but his appearance gives me the heebie-jeebies.
