Ahhh, shucks! Thanks. We are all in this together, and we are all helping each other. As for you, glad to hear that those 3 musketeers walked the plank! Yeah you!!!
-
AHHHHH!!!!! almost, ALMOST makes me want to go and rescue another dog....

Congratulations Tina! You should be rightly proud of yourself! As for the home situation, I don't think you should be holidng in or hiding your emotions...I realize you don't want to upset DH/the children, but you have to be true to yourself. Hiding your emotions is not the best way to deal with them. As for DH's depression, you cannot convince someone to go to counselling - it must be his decision based on self realization. You continue with counselling - you are number one. You first. YOU!

Susan - are they booking you for surgery? or trying the relaxation, exercise and brace routine? For those that are pregnant - do not watch the movie First Born. For those with any taste in movies (and of course the calculation of taste is based on the Tapshoes Rating Scale[TRS]) do not watch the movie First Born. DH is a movie fiend (walking talking encyclopaedia of all things movie related); I hate wasting my time watching them. Anyhoo, last night I agreed to watch a movie and that was the one he chose. Maybe that's another thread topic - movies we have seen and loved or loathed.

I've never heard of this before. It is your body, you can do with it what you want. If any physician told me I had to have DH with me, I'd have walked out. Oh well, every physician is different. I made the decision, arranged the dates, etc and never even mentioned it to DH (or anyone else). I only told him about a week before as I would need him to drive me to and from the clinic. It isn't his body or his business. Thankfully, he has been wonderfully supportive, but even if he hadn't, it wouldn't have been an issue for me.

Although I won't make my Oct 31st goal, I don't want to give in. -
In addition to yesterdays morning swim, I added another 35min brisk walk. This morning - another front crawl sprint swimming 35 minutes. Asking again - anyone tried the wave machine (link posted above)

Shiny - I'm sorry to hear about the last position. But it seems you have the right, can do attitude. Perseverance and faith. I did the 2nd of my additional exercise events last night - another fast 35 minute walk. Doesn't look likely for today though as the rain is pelting down...

One slip is just that, a slip. It's over. I'm sure your Lab will appreciate any other mistakes that may magically appear. I know my last Lab was a animal garbeurator...any food, any time, from any where. Getting him healthy was a challenge as he was a real sneak and such a beggar when anyone came to the house.

Posting to post... Wednesday morning - raining again. Ambien - don't do drugs (OTC or otherwise, caffeine excepted). Puppies - love 'em; cats - love 'em; have had multiples of them all at different times. I want to see the pics, please. Plain - nope, not how I had envisioned you. And before your ego swells, I wasn't dreaming about you; I always try to imagine the appearance of those I cannot see when in communication. Carpal tunnel - DM is having hers released tomorrow; she went several years before she agreed to the procedure (and suffered unnecessarily in my opinion), OK - have I covered all the topics?
-
Yeah. And congrats to moma and owner. And yeah that they have homes. No more pets for me. No more. Never. Resist. Resist.

If I have time to read, I will read more interesting things....there are just gajabazillions of books I've not yet read. In fact spent a few hundred in Chapters last night - I have an addiction. BUT I did have some gift certs, AND there were some good sales on AND... I have an addiction.
-
OMG - I was thinkning the same thing when I read those 2 stories. And sadly, there are more...
-
I was wondering if it was a really wide white belt with metal trim on the belt holes.

Do you suppose your body is trying to tell you something? What if you substituted a sf pudding?
-
Slowmover - you are SO close to your goal. That must feel wonderful! Giving up Snacks...glad my doc didn't give me that instruction! But getting to the gym regularly is great..keep it up. Ezma - Keep it up, girl! That blow-out on Sunday is history; your cravings for sugar are diminishing. You CAN do it!
-
And Plain, as with food, presentation is everything! It isn't the words, it is how the words are said.

Oh She, I got such a chuckle out of this! DH is in his 60's, and yes, he has a beating heart, and a healthy libido! Good thing, 'cause I'm in my 50's and still rarin' to go!

So feeling guilty after missing the weekend, and only doing swimming yesterday morning I went on a brisk 35 min walk last night. (DH says I march quick step, not walk). This morning another 35 minutes in the pool - front crawl only in sprints. Have any of you tried the wave machine in the gym? Technogym Cardio Wave - La Nuova Era Cardio - The New Cardio Era This is a recent addition to the equipment at the Y, and has become the 'new' rage - elliptical use is plummenting as more switch to this. (I only know this because I was eavesdropping on a training session while I was dressing at the Y). I've not yet garnered the intestinal fortitude to venture into the equipment zone and use the stuff.

Yesterday - there were no meals, per se. For some reason I was grazing all day - BAD TAP!! But, I don't think I went overboard on calories. So, consumed during the day: 3 apples 2 oz cheese 2 tbsp peanut butter (spread on apple slices) 1 chicken breast with salsa sauce and nf sour cream Back to the routine of meals today

I've come so far, I don't want to backslide. Fat is not where it's at! -
I did my 1 of 3 additional exercise events last night - a very brisk walk (DH says I march) for 35 minutes. One down, 2 more for the week to go.
