I hate it when people post just to post.....

Was it just me, or was everyone getting a database error every time you went to post something today??? I was going through withdrawal!
  2. I have taken my business suits into the tailors and had them remade but only after they were huge...a little big I lived with. My blouses I have had to replace but I have bought ONLY on sale and one size too small. Belts are my new best friends - even if the dress or skirt or pants are too big, i can keep wearing them if they are belted. As for my non-work life, I live in sweats and t-shirts and they are fine no matter how big.

Yeah to Ezma and RSG. You have broken the lure of the icecream! I managed a nutless week as well...didn't even treat myself on Saturday night. Whoo Hoo!!!
  5. OK - Time for a new thread on non-band things. So, as a long time bibliophile (I was allowed to substitute library work for art work in grade school), and a recent movie buff (until DH, I didn't even have a TV for years), I thought I would start things off with a few (5) of my fav's and a few of my 'OMG, why were these movies popular???'....Hope to hear yours... books. My fav genre is mysteries. My fav authors (and there are many): Peter Robinson; Ian Rankin; Elizabeth George; Ruth Rendall; Henning Mankel, to start Movies: Worst ones seen recently (they may be older because as I mentioned I didn't start watching movies until recently): Everything is Illuminated; Fargo; Mission to Mars; The Cell; Vantage Point, Great ones ....There are SOOOO many. But most recently seen: Juno; Atonement; Before the Devil knows you're dead; A Mighty Heart; LOTR trilogy Your turn........

    Accountability

Well finally - a scale movement!! I guess between the miniscule fill of last week, and the extra exercise, and sheer determination, the scale went down!!! The extra weight I gained two weeks ago went, as did 2 other pounds. YEAHHH!!!! I don't want to jinx myself, so I will just say I am very grateful and now, on to this week. I was on a business trip yesterday so I have lots to catch up on!

Non Band Topic - Books and movies

Cool - Your Dad and husband cried at The Notebook? Geez, DH and I were rolling our eyes. That's when we then decided that the way it happened was the result of a murder/suicide pact.

I hate it when people post just to post.....

Way to go, She. It is early Sunday morning, and I will spend a few minutes here with my coffee before I start in on the mountain of dishes. Had company last night, DH says 'I'll do the dishes before I go to bed'...but we got umm... distracted. So, this morning the dishes await...blech.

    NSV - I think! ARGH!

Isn't it strange how something can be nice and terrible at the same time? The neighbor (tactless soul) probably thought you would be pleased to hear compliments...

    whats everybody reading?

I too read this one; I have since shared it with many of my choco-holic friends. If only 1 or 2 change their buying behaviors, it will be a start. For relaxation I read well written complex mysteries. Fav authors (of the moment): Peter Robinson; Ian Rankin; Elizabeth George; Henning Mankel; Reginald Hill; Stephen Booth; PD James...and so on.

    I am just so... OMG...

Well, I think the statement was inappropriate in every way. But if the environment is more close than many other businesses (which is what I interpreted from what you said later), then maybe she is just really stupid but not malicious - and did not realize that she had crossed a line. I would probably speak calmly to her stating that you believed she crossed a line - and expect it not to happen again. Particularly if you didn't previously have a word with her about other comments she made, she may truly think this is just being friendly.

    Accountability

I'm on my way to the Y this morning - and whatever I do, it will be the third of my self-imposed extra exercise events for the week. I REALLY want the scale to finally move on Monday - between the miniscule fill of this week and doing lots of extra walking etc, it has just GOTTA move, right???

Sickntired - Yahoo to you!!!! SMS - Your bf sounds like a jerk. Fanny - swooning...'tis a grand time in a relationship! It is a cold raining dreary Saturday morning, but at 6am the house is quiet, the second pot of coffee is brewing and an untouched crossword puzzle beckons...such is the life of peaceful contentment.

OK everyone...we are heading into the weekend. Let's be strong facing our 'demons'! Denise - have a wonderful birthday.
  23. Rarely do I use protein supplements or have a protein shake. I eat a healthy diet including (but not exclusively based on) protein, and 8 months into the banded life, I haven't encountered problems.
