I'd check that info...or at least the source of the info. I've not heard of limiting spices before, and I enjoy spices. Food without hot peppers, garlic, onions, ginger....very very dull.

WOW! RSG has friends bringing muffins; Thinner has bf with B&J; and tonight DH thought he would surprise me by buying all the fruit and nuts needed for making Christmas cakes ... in he brought BAGS (several pounds each) of brazil nuts, almonds, cashews, peanuts, pistachios, candied cherries, walnuts, dates (I LOVE dates),mixed peel and candied ginger. Bless him! I KNOW he was trying to help, but I had planned to scale back the baking (I mean, other than DH and my brother, does anyone EAT dark fruit cake??), but with all the fixin's I just HAVE to bake, or else I will be munching. Can you hear them? Listen closely and you can hear all the nuts...eat me, e a t me, EAT ME!!!

Hey Lisa - There are advantages to working in a small office with only women - someone is ALWAYS on a diet, therefore no one ever brings in treats....temptation avoided! Pumpkin scones sound delicious though. Back to exercise... Today 20 min shoulders/triceps weight training and 30 min cycling.

WElcome back Becca! 'Tis grand to see you post and wonderful that you have been enjoying your life. But pop back every once in a while - we miss our VVs.

A beautiful sunrise, sun glistening off of the snow, the coffee is hot and unadulterated, Ella Fitgerald is singing, and I can see one quarter of my desk - that's progress!! 'Tis a grand day in tapshoes' little world.

Yeah RSG! Perfect? No one is perfect. As long as you had a good weekend - moderate food, and some exercise.
-
I really enjoy eggs - except when accompanied by ketchup...particularly runny yolks with ketcheup. Think fetal chicken blood.... Sun reflecting off the snow - lots of light even if it is COLD outside.
-
Random posting - it's snowing outside. Although somewhat redundant - it doesn't snow inside...whatever, I digress. I like fish as long as it doesn't taste fishy.
-
So it is Monday ladies - how did you do this weekend?
-
Good thing I haven't had to- egg salad without the eggs would be kind of bland!

"did you have gastric bypass???!!!???!!!"

My favorite response to questions like those: "I can't believe you would ask such a personal question" It's amazing - each time, the questioner looks somewhat embarrassed, and usually stutters/umms/ahs....and then leaves. I would be certain to ask the question in exactly the same loudness of voice too! Under no circumstances would I give any part of an answer - that just encourages him/her. -
Gibson - I concur with Jamie...demand a metabolic rate test. And for that matter any other test. As illogical as it sounds, maybe your calorie intake is TOO low. And as Ezma said, we really have missed you!

Shovelling break - mitts are on the fireplace drying, coffee is perking, breathing is easing up. Catch up on the posts (very few on this sunday morning) then back outside. Think it's time to put away the patio furniture and toss the plants?
