OUCH!!!! Chew chew chew chew chew...if I say it enough times, will it infiltrate my brain????
-
OUCH Peek! Hope you are doing ok. My original post was I hoped to maintain (as I anticipated losing was not going to happen). WEll, now I am in the 'hope not to gain TOO much' camp...bah! :smile2:

You know what sucks? Going on a business trip, taking your workout clothes but forgetting your runners...my only shoes were black slingbacks....hardly appropriate. Back to the Y today. 30 minutes working on back muscles; 20 min the wave.
-
Two days of business meetings....not particularly band friendly foods and we were a 'captive' audience in a hotel without any other place to eat around... Monday: B:protein shake (before going to the airport) L: fruit and cheese (probably 1 cup fruit and 2 oz cheese) D: wine, handful of nuts appetizer. Caesar salad (1 cup?) with another glass of wine; baked salmon (2 oz?) steamed veggies with cheese sauce and wine; fruit plate dessert. Did I mention wine??? Tuesday B: full fat yogurt with 2 slices melon L - chicken cordon bleu (1/4 breast) D - handful of peanuts, small pork chop

Hey Luluc - just signed on. Been gone 48 hours and I will never catch up on the posts here.... SMSS - yahooo Plain- schizophrenic eyebrow licking hairy chested with heavy gold medallions....what's not to love? :smile2: Luluc - you want some snow? Did I read that correctly??? Are you sick? As for horses - never been on one. Not afraid of them just have not been in a horse environment. I think I'd feel sorry for them having to carry people around. Run wild run free.... Nancy Drew - my niece inherited all of them; Trixie Beldon - I loved those stories...more than Nancy Drew. Must go refill the coffee and try reading a few more posts. Somewhere in the day I suppose I should do some work too...

BBK - Some people just don't think it is polite to ask someone about them gaining/losing weight, or any personal appearance changes. I'm one of them. I never comment or ask. LJM - Yay to DH for completing the half...an activity I cannot even imagine ever trying. CC - I love the holidays as well. It is the socializing I enjoy - the preparations and cleaning and baking and drinking. As for school - I loved it. If it wasn't for the fact that I have to work, pay bills and have no money, I would be a perpetual student. Beth - I'm like Susan; commando = chaffing and discomfort. Donna - Re: Cayley. What you are saying is plausible; and I would never agree to a death sentence. But, it is time she and her family face the truth and the consequences of their actions (I believe the mother later knew and was an active participant in protecting the child). Okay - it is monday morning; I am off on a business trip in a matter of hours. Take care everyone; chat with you in a day or two.

Yesterday B: piece of cheese L: handful of candied walnuts and almonds D: Attended a dinner dance and ate a little of everything including: green salad, carrot salad, raw veggie appetizers with dip, cabbage roll, chicken, and even 2 mouthfuls of cake (something I never eat). All of this with 3 glasses of wine. Danced up a storm though...today is probably a liquids day to give my gut a rest..

Ended up wearing a little black dress - still lots of sparkles and sequins on the top then a short chiffon skirt that went to just above the knee, and of course my hooker heels. Very 1950s style - I can see Doris Day wearing it, so did my hair a al Doris as well. The abundant praise/complement from DH: You clean up good, kiddo!! Oh well. We had a lot of fun even though our dinner companions (you were seated - you didn't get to choose your place) were NOT our type, once the music started we moved to another table, met people, and danced. Of course for most fast dances, the men stayed at the table, but the women had a hell of a time! The size is minus, or you are minus the undies? Confession: have never been to a Chuck E Cheese. Ditto!!! Sounds like there is a story or two there! Never been to Disney either. Now I must start the day....cleaning, cooking, wrapping gifts...
-
And then get yourself sterilized. If you do it to one child.... So did snorting hot coffee out my nose! And luluc - I think there is a lot of people anticipating that Jan 1 is 'back to band' time! Now, I must get ready - dinner dance tonight and I'm planning on glamming it up - sequins/rhinestones/glittery threaded top with black pants, black patent leather hooker heel shoes with rhinestones...haven't done that in many decades and many more pounds!!!
-
PJTP - I finished my shopping.....YAY!!!! I even avoided the mall. I was out of the house by 630 and back in the driveway at 1245. Now Im going to have a coffee and RELAX!!! BBK - Be strong. LuluC - sounds like you had a good time. Lots of wine and friends. Did you go to the gym, or crawl back into bed? Re Caylee - I will never understand this kind of situation. No matter how angry or frustrated you become, how could anyone hurt let alone kill a child? And their own child? Incomprehensible to me. And sadly it is more common than we like to admit. There is a story almost every day about a parent abandoning, imprisoning, beating, starving or murdering their child. Mac....I would be embarassed/angry if someone HAD commented. Maybe these people didn't want to embarass you. Ahhh - the coffee is perked. Time to grab a java.
-
Yesterday was difficult... B: piece of mozzarella cheese (didn't stay down) L: lima bean casserole (1 cup) D: tried cheese - came up (6 pm) tried peanut butter - nope (8pm) pudding (10pm...uncomfortable, but it stayed down)
-
That sucks, Beth. Sorry.
-
Oh BBK, I am so sorry.
-
I use Skype - and it's great. As my family and friends are everywhere from New Zealand and England to Canada and South America, long distance calls were too expensive. I use it faithfully and have encouraged several friends and family to do so as well. It is also cheaper than the other Internet services...one minimum fee per year.

Added to yesterday was a 35 min walk last night. Today: 20 min on calves only (new routine by trainer) 35 min on cycle varying speeds
-
Sorry to hear you about your throat - take care of yourself! Thanks for the suggestion...looks like just the thing! Whoo hoo - maybe I won't have to venture into a mall tomorrow!!
-
CC - Having lived in a place that was very superstitous, tell your mother that a dream of dying is (at least in many interpretations) a sign of impending birth or pregnancy....

I started my Christmas baking in October and am still not done. I have stockpiled in one freezer: dark fruit cakes, apricot cakes, sugar Cookies, shortbreads, brazil nut cakes, cheesecakes, icebox cookies of several kinds, drop cookies, candied nuts, cranberry squares, cranberry lemon cookies, etc etc... I love to bake, but I don't eat it...don't have a sweet tooth. DH and friends enjoy it all. (in fact gave away 1 fruit cake and one apricot cake this week) I just like the baking part. New recipes every year. Going to do more baking this weekend...

Yesterday B - 2 oz cheddar L: ff yogurt; 2 tangerines D: 2 cups lima bean casserole S: ff yogurt with 4 or 5 candied walnuts

I spend hundreds per month - and that doesn't include the books I borrow from others, ones borrowed from the library. I like literate well written books (and that certainly culls the offerings available). Mysteries are my fav though - Reginald Hill, Elizabeth George, Henning Mankel; Ian Rankin, Peter Robinson, Ruth Rendell,....
-
Ah shucks. Thanks Plain... Feeling better LJM? YAY Mac! So it's finally Friday....thanks be. I need suggestions for the only gift I have left to buy - DH. Technogeek extraordinaire who ALWAYS buys whatever he wants when he wants it, and never mentions anything he wants or likes or needs...
-
Me too! And I was also blessed in that my thick hair did not fall out; it just got more and more shiny
-
Ditto! Well, except for the name is Donna part. Otherwise...bookstores/libraries over any gym any day any time.
-
Mac, are you susceptible to the lure of Cheetohs??? This is important information in the calculation of the odds.
-
This should be good! yes indeed. Let the crossing swords (or words) begin. Excellent! You deserve happiness, so don't let them take it from you!
