20 min biceps and chest 25 min on the wave
-
Yes indeed. Love lentils, love the toppings on pizza - sounds like a winning combo! And yes SMS, lots of new faces at the Y this morning. Office is quiet; coffee is hot.
-
YES!! I was at the Y by 6am; did 20 minutes of upper body weights and 25 min of cardio.
-
Whining - it's Monday morning and I'm back to work after 2 weeks off....having to work for a living sucks!
-
But you are crying on the inside, right?:scared2:
-
ARGHHH!!!!! Where's the lysol???? Actually, I'm not a "sterilize the bejaysus out of stuff" kinda gal; I just like cleanliness...
-
Busted!:w00t: Mac - a broom doesn't have to look dirty to be dirty - filled with the contaminants from one sweep in a bathroom! LJM - Go to bed. Stay. Let hubby take care of everything. Be a pampered lady of leisure. Beth - You have a grand time with Richard...

Great thread Ezma, even though my response for today is 'No'. I've got some of my family coming for dinner today, so I'm up to my wazoo in cleaning, baking and cooking. Having the full turkey dinner as none of us had it for either Christmas or New Years...better late than never! I shall return to the Y tomorrow...I wouldn't want to have to post 'no' twice in a row!!

Hey Travel Anna - you are living up to your name ....a cruise sounds wonderful! -
mrniceguy - happy belated. Laser lipo - never heard of it...*off Tap scurries to google it*
-
As the previous poster said, whatever you would use beef for. I however add chicken bullion - keeping it in the same taste arena. So, turkey loaf, burgers, chili's, Pasta sauces, etc. Google ground turkey recipes....and enjoy!

Hi mlm...first thing I would do is check out the support thread for Canadians in this forum. Perhaps others from NS are there, and they can help you about specific drs, requirements etc. General education on the whole process - read and read and read and read...this forum, and others. If your insurance covers it, you will be further ahead than many other Canadians who have posted.

Countdown to your Bandiversary!
tapshoes replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Great to hear Rhapsody! I guess I just have to get a fill...it certainly wasn't in this month's budget, but it is needed. Let's hope that, plus my renewed committment to following the rules puts me back on track. I really want to make goal this year. -
How are you feeling (other than tired) LJM?

Am I the new multi-post Queen???

I do clean them more if there has been something particularly nasty swept. And of course there are different brooms for different areas of the house to minimize potential cross-contamination. If you ever want to be really grossed out, swab your brooms and have them analyzed. Walls and ceilings like every other surface get dirty - particularly if you have children and/or pets - the oils from their hands/fur touching the walls. AS for messing the paint, nope, you aren't scrubbing with a brush, just washing with a mild detergent solution. Twice a year. You would be amazed at the dirt... Oh my! I couldn't afford that let alone live in the accumulation of things...too many surfaces to keep clean, and I'm in a tiny tiny house. My only exception - I have every Christmas decoration I have ever been given, and (as previously mentioned) tons of books. Even with books, I managed to take another box of books to the used book store last week.... Ditto!! I'm so sorry Beth. Why are YOU cleaning it?? Yes indeed...them that makes the mess, cleans it up WOW - those are some fabulous ideas for my 60th...gotta share these with DH and the DSDs and friends....I would LOVE this!!! Indeed! Once I reach goal, and then save some money I think hoisting and reshaping (making smaller) the 'girls' is in my future. Botox though....nope.
-
Susan - Yeah for being the 'cool mom'; sorry about the driving test. Clean sweep - oh dear gawd; those people are PIGS! Until recently I was labelled a 'neat freak' and a 'clean machine'...really, I can't stand a mess. DH still thinks I am, but I see how I have lowered my standards. I don't wash the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher anymore (yes, wash with soap), and I can leave a load of laundry in the basket until it cools....those are MAJOR for me! Doesn't everybody wash the walls in their house, clean their vacuum and wash their brooms 2X a year??
-
My fellow VV's, may you all enjoy a healthy happy and band-successful 2009! As promised, I intend to resume my normal daily check-ins with you; I hope you all return to LBT for regular posting - I miss you all.

That's great. Wish someone would say my hair looks nice or that grey shag is somehow stylish!! -
LJM - great to hear you are doing good. I hope DH is bringing some food along with the starbucks...your breakfast did not sound too appetizing!
-
First coffee rak - several loads of laundry done; Xmas gifts put away; kitchen tidied... Next tasks: sort recipes (got all jumbled over holidays); box of books to used book store; bank; vacuuming; dusting; cleaning....why oh why don't the house cleaning fairies ever visit me??

Post your attainable new year goals!!!

Great thread, and some good ideas reading others! 1. By Dec 31st 09 to have finished at least 5 of the zillion half-done craft projects cluttering my house. 2. By Dec 31, to have found a new job. 3. By Dec 31st to be at goal weight and size - to do this, I have to a)become more vigilant about drinking my water; :tongue2: continue to maintain my exercise a minimum of 4 times/week, and c) watch the snacking in measured/weighed amounts 4. By Dec 31, make a significant dent in my accumulated financial debt...that means, putting away the credit cards unless for a true Emergency -
So I have lost alot of weight and my wife gains it..

A agree with Mac. If she is angry/frustrated/anxious about something and yet won't talk about it, and says it's your problem to figure out, this is not a good sign. I would suggest you continue counseling for yourself if she won't go to couples counseling, and keep the lines of communication open. Do not mention her weight at all; focus on yourself. -
Morning everyone! Saturday morning, coffee is in hand, house is empty....peace and quiet reign!!

I suggest you read the 'Share Ideas. What did you eat today" thread in this forum - people have been posting for a LONG time and you can see that everyone is different - in types of food, bolumes, calories, carbs...just like 'regular people. Find what works for you; eat a healthy variety, throw in some exercise, chew chew chew and drink your Water.
