Countdown to your Bandiversary!
tapshoes replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Welcome back Kjeter! And yes, I wondered what happened to you as well as some of our other long-lost posters. Congratulations at being at goal - YAHOO WOW  Your experience sounds horrible but enlightening; I'm glad you shared so that we all may keep it it in mind when we want 'more fill, please'. Hope you keep in touch with us.. -
Hi Aggie. Nope, I'm not at goal. I WILL be this year, but not by my anniversary, that's for sure!
-
Ezma, I hope hubby is ok, and that you didn't strain/twist anything moving him. Consider fingers and toes crossed. 30 hour shift? What kind of hours are those???? Regardless, you did some exercise - anything is better than nothing. Good luck on your run. AS for me, Im thinking I should get to the Y before I have to start in on the day of errands....but I haven't committed to it yet!

LJM - I'm sure you will be bored/frustrated at having enforced bed-rest, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Think of the guilt you can lay on 'the bean' when he is older! Slim - I too have been up since my usual 430am; but I've enjoyed the peace and quiet and time to catch up on things, organize DH's movie collection, and plan my day. Sick - PBing a couple of times a week? That doesn't sound good. Now, time to put on the next pot of coffee...I hear someone else up and moving around.
-
Hope things are okay LJM.

No roasts? I always order a selection of roasts, steaks, and ground See, that's why I try to convince myself that meat grows on trees.... That would be my problem...and once a pet, you are safe! Incredible! Age=IQ?? Snort! Fabulous line! Didn't really like the movie. Fanny - Welcome back. I am going to view the pics shortly. May be the closest I get to Australia. Thank heavens it's Friday! Good morning one and all.

Just yeaterday I received the bras I had ordered online from Bare Necessities - at last a break from having to handwash my 2 bras every second night! The local store had the same brands but at a significant markup, so they lost out on the sale to me. Started doing some research on having a breast lift (once I reach goal and have the dollars); think I'll have them reduce the 'girls' at the same time. DDD's are SO difficult to find!

That's great Shiny...although I doubt I would ever put 'fun' and 'jog' in the same sentence!!! At the Y this morning - 30 min weight training on arms, then 25 min of high intensity interval training on the treadmill

Tina - This is FABULOUS! Every part of your post was positive and encouraging and inspiring! I am thrilled to read your post, and excited for your upcoming surgery. You picked an excellent day for it too! I am so proud of you.

Take care of yourself LilMiss. YAY Shiny!! That's fabulous! And yes, knowing that Ezma expects me to report in is a motivator! I hit the Y this morning and did 20 minutes of leg work with weights, then 20 min of fast swimming....should have done more, but I just feel so dragged. I tell myself that 20 min is better than 0, and certainly better than eating - which was the preferred option!!!:glare:

Snow is falling. So are Tap's spirits. Not even hot black coffee and an empty office are doing it for me. I REALLY need a vacation somewhere warm...
-
Kat - congratulations on the safe arrival of your grandson. My condolences on your SOL (who sounds like a real SOB). BBK - Good luck; knock 'em dead! It's Thursday morning...not Friday... Heading to the Y and moving in slo-mo..........

How well do you tolerate oatmeal?
tapshoes replied to smatyas's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm a 'Plain Jane' oatmealer...I cook the oatmeal with water, and eat! I have been known to add some fruit occasionally (never thought to add peanut butter - hmmmm). I eat a lot of oatmeal - it is a breakfast staple. -

CC- don't go borrowing trouble! If stress is a trigger (as it seems to be for you), even thinking these things is setting yourself up to be in a stressful situation, and therefore sa elf-fulfilling prophecy. welcome the fill belive it will be as effective as before. -
Stand in line, Ebony! I get to go first!!!
