ARGHHH - My fill appointment can't come soon enough!! yeasterday I grazed all day....no 'meals' just constant munching...which is a challenge working in an office for 8 hours, but still I managed it! I consumed over the day: 2 oz cheese 1 ff yogurt 2 popsicles 2 ff pudding few bites of a stuffed chicken breast few brussel sprouts with cheese sauce a huge amount of Peanut Butter cup of Soup WOW - obviously the slider foods are my weakness...time to get back on track.

Those people on TBL also workout with a trainer for HOURS (even more than you :cursing:) every single day; have portioned food, don't have to work, and are (in essence) quarantined...nothing bad in/controlled environment. Your weight loss, attitude, and exercise regime are impressive; you WILL get there!
-
Hugs, Jamie. Lots and lots of hugs! It is a vicious cycle - you gain some weight, you feel guilty/stress about it, which causes you to eat more which increases the stress....Try not to put so much pressure on yourself; summon up whatever it takes to realize that the band will still be with you after you deliver a beautiful new baby, any weight gain now is not permanent. Your band is NOT time limited; it will still be there. Take care of yourself and the wee one. keep posting so that we know how you are doing.

I am so impressed by all of you ... LilMiss your commitment is awe inspiring - but so far, not catching!! And Shiny - great attitude - I still can't accept that anyone LIKES running! Rhapsody - it doesn't matter whether you think your time is fast or not, you ARE running, you ARE getting your heart rate up, you ARE moving.....celebrate that! Added to yesterday, I walked home from work - 35 minutes brisk walk. Today at the Y I did 20 min of leg work then 25 min of brisk front crawl. Looking at the snow that is falling, I predict more shoveling tonight! Keep it up everyone....

Ditto! For those for whom 'snowflakes that stay on your nose and eyelashes' is a favorite thing (sound of music reference)......you are sick! They are usually accompanied by: pants that are frozen from the knee to the toes; feet that are wet, and cold winds as they blow....

Morning everyone, tap mutters crossly. Freakin snow - more is falling. Guess DH and I will have to shovel to start the day...... Trying to convince DH to apply for the 'greatest job in the world' as is being advertised - caretaker/wildlife counter of an island off Australia........heat, sun, peace and quiet, heat.......... Catch you all later....tap exits plunking a woolen hat on her head...

Rest rest rest... Get a family member/friend to get a European coffee maker - sort of like an old fashioned perc; put in ground beans and add boiling water. Surely the hospital kitchenette has a kettle ... beats the coffeemaker stuff!

Now THAT is getting better... 4 months and 30 pounds/and 6-8 sizes down after surgery. Christmas Eve 2008 and my best present was... the return of MY WAIST!!

PJTP - it must be record....nearly 2 hours and no one has posted! Boring day at work; slow day at LBT. What shall I do???
-
Saturday - walked 35 minutes - well bundled up; it was minus 9 as the high! Sunday - shoveled for a back breaking cardio-pumping 30 minutes Today - 30 min on elliptical; 25 minutes biceps/chest workout - graduated to 8 pound weights!
-
Yesterday - better than Saturday, but not by much! B: choc-pb protein smoothie L: ff yogurt (single serving ) handful of walnuts S: peanut butter - by the spoonful:angry: D: 2 cups of beef stroganoff (without the egg noodles) S: 2 popsicles
-
EEKS, Anna. What a grueling schedule! I was at the Y this morning - did 25 min upper body with weights, 30 min ellipti-kill! OW!!!
-
Excellent, LJM! How is DH coping at home with DD?
-
Anna - over 1/2 way - that's great! Maybe by the next bandiversary, and as it isn't a race, it will be great whenever we all reach our goals!
-
Morning everyone! Shaved head requires good shaped skull....I don't have one, so it ain't gonna happen (medical circumstance aside). Long hair - used to have it, have been brushcut short and waist-long with everything in-between. I (like Kat) prefer wash and go so short it is. Now off to the Y.
-
YAY you!! Happy anniversary. Your progress is great.
-
YEAH Lulu!!!!

Lil froggy - If the clinic knows that you follow a different eating regime, and still invited you, then I'd do it. I would, as Plain suggested, defer specific questions such as 'Can I eat lasagna ever again" to the medical team; but if they ask you if you have had food a b or c, some response such as "I chose this surgery so that I could eat all things in moderation" would be appropriate. It's an honor, and you might inspire others who feel that they couldn't do it. Go for it.

How forthcoming are you to people when they ask what you did to lose weight?
tapshoes replied to catho72's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well, so far no one has been bold enough to ask. If someone did, I would respond with "I am at the Y a minimum of 4 days a week doing weight training, cardio of some sort and I watch what I eat". All true. -
Yesterday - I'd just as soon forget the food, unfortunately, my body won't! B: choc cheesecake protein shake S: cheese...measured? nope. Just kept slicing and eating L: see above D: 2 brussel sprouts, 1/2 stuffed chicken breast S: 1.2 large container ff yogurt. Why oh why? Hurry up fill appointment!!!
-
My good intentions of yesterday did not come to fruition; however, I have to shovel today so I WILL get exercise...30 min or more of cardio and arm workout!
-
BBK - Oh, Brandy, I'm sorry. Hope your migraine has abated. What was the style feature they didn't like? Why would anyone throw cake around? SMS - going darker - my hair is lightening naturally - grey and white highlights. Happy Sunday morning.

excerise....how long after surgery?
tapshoes replied to amberd910's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What kind of exercise are you talking about? Did you specify the type you wanted to do to your doctor? If it is weight lifting, aerobics etc, then yes, you need to give your body time to heal. Or are you talking about walking - the dr's rules MIGHT be different. I was ok'd for walking (and was walking home from work in 3 days) BUT only after I ok'd it with the surgeon. I suggest you have another chat with the dr's office. -
Babbs - Sorry you are going through this; drugs are our friend!! I feel your pain - I too have had the excruciating experience of cysts. Take care
