Thanks for checking in St Louis...I am so pleased that you are enjoying life - we only get this life once, so we should make the most of it! Your weight loss stats are great...Keep it up (or down:tongue2:)!

Good morning everyone. Saturday morning - quiet house, hot coffee, and just relaxing...Y doesn't open until 7 so no need to rush. DH and I went grocery shopping last night - $500 later, I'm regretting introducing him to Costco! Admittedly the meats are good, and we do have 2 freezers just for meat, but still...considering we don't buy pre-packaged meals or processed anything, that is a hefty chunk of change for meats, veggies, toiletries, coffee and baking supplies . I shouldn't have to go grocery shopping again for a while (milk, fruit and veg aside). Brother and nephews are coming for birthday dinners tonight so there goes 2 roasts...teenage boys are nothing but walking, talking stomachs!! Couple of pounds of potatoes, a huge caesar salad, and I'll make two cakes...that should get them through the supper hour! Not much happening in my life LJM to entertain you while you rest....sorry!

Note to self...don't cross Gone 4 ever as she seems to have some agressive tendancies. PJTP - I hate flavored coffees; can't imagine the taste, the smell is horrid

It was a very touching trailer. And like Donna, I will always support our troops, and the troops of our allies. I wish we inhabited a world where they were not necessary, but given that we don't, then they deserve our respect, our support, and our sincere thanks.

WOW - 147! That's great, Tina. and what's better is knowing that you CAN do it. If you can do that, you can do anything...and you have. You have gone through hell, and are to be congratulated for your new found love of self. That's what it is, an acceptance, and love of yourself....that is the real achievement!! You certainly do have my prayers, as well as my heartfelt congratulations.

The hair cut itself is pixie short...in fact, the style suits me; I think most are thrown off by the colors: natural gray on mouse brown with tomato red and white blond streaks.
-
Thanks LilMiss. I know it isn't a clothing factor - I make sure I wear the same clothes! And I know it isn't a lot of weight, but still, seeing it as a gain was disheartening as well as motivating (I'm kinda perverse that way). So, I shall see what happens over the next few days.

Did that on Wednesday - my hair is now REALLY short...really really short...and has tomato soup red, and white blond streaks. As my hairdresser said, it's funky but not frightening. When DH saw it, his face paled, then he said ...nothing. People at work yesterday all just looked at it, and said "Oh, you got a hair cut" which as everyone knows is code for: Oh dear lord what did you do??? Im LOVING it...Hey, Im in my 50's, but I'm not dead!! and, it's ONLY hair.

It's Friday - finally and thankfully!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LJM - here's hoping that the bean safely remains 'inside' for another week Mobsters....haven't yet investigated it. I can't imagine another online activity to consume my time...

Spinning and then tm? WOW, you must have both great lungcapacity and leg muscles....I imagine I would be limping and whimpering after the spin class, no energy for tm too! YAY! The main thing is to keep on keeping on.... Great Shiny - Someday I will look up the t-tapp to see just what's involved, but if coordination is a requirement, I'll have to pass! Today I did 30 min of leg work (my calves are protesting even now); then did the tm for 30. My goal is to EVENTUALLY be able to run/jog for 30 min straight, but don't look for that achievement to be posted any time soon!! Have a great weekend everyone, and remember to MOVE.

GRRR!!! We are REALLY a lot further away than one month... Congratulations! And as Luluc says, 30 pounds down is far better than any gain!!

At my LONNNNGGGGGG overdue fill yesterday, I had gained. That's it. It stops now. -
I know that reading other posts should inspire me, but sadly it seems to have the reverse effect. I read a Ceredad or Jachut post and (figuratively) just throw up my hands and say 'WTH, why bother, you gotta go full out like those two to make a difference, and you KNOW that's just not YOU". Pity party for one right here. My activities pale (are almost opague) by comparison...yesterday was fill day so the only exercise was walking briskly the 35 min from the train station to the clinic. Today - shoulder workout with weights, and then 30 min on the treadmill. Compared to Tuesdays time, I shaved 2 minutes off the time for the same distance.
-
As I said in another thread, the only scale I really believe is the one at the clinic - it is imperative that there's is calibrated correctly and maintained. So, I stood on the scale after a 3 month absence....and up it went. One pound. In three months I didn't lose an ounce, not a smidgen. I gained. It was a visual 'kick in the rear'. So, back to basics....well, once I am past my day of fluids. Here's hoping that 1/4cc quells my evening snacking urges, because really and truly that is the only time I have indulged. I can't go from supper time until the next morning - that would be almost 12 hours, so I need to find something for the evening that will reduce the need to feed, and yet not start me binging again. What I really need, is to figure out WHY I need to eat in the evenings, and deal with the real issue...but until then, I need to stop the 'little tastes' treats and bad habits.
-
First - YEAHHH on making it into the 100's....it is such a fabulous feeling, isn't it!!!! Second - WOW! You are to be congratulated for signing up for the duathelon. I've never heard of it, and certainly don't ever see me doing it, but WAY TO GO!!!
-
Let's see....good news/bad news. In the 3 months since I was last there (I told you it was a LONG time), I gained a pound. The good news is that it was only a pound (the clinic stats were most bandsters (over 8 months post-op) who have shown up in the cllinic since January arrived, gained 4 or 5 pounds. So, 1/4 cc fill and a new attitude should help moving that scale again. Now I really need to start working on my head hunger...

Yesterday was fill day, so it was a Protein shake in the morning, and then one lst night before I went to bed. Today is Protein Shake for breakfast - which I couldn't drink until 4 hours later....that's a first! lunch and supper will be creamed Soups and yogurt. This is the first time that after a fill, I have not been able to have my breakfast within 30 minutes of getting up in the morning. I am used to starting my day with coffee, then having my breakfast within a half hour before I head to the Y. Today, no such luck...felt kinda weak at the Y but worked through it.
-
Morning ladies, Shiny - Outside running...even if I ran, I would not be able to do it outside until about May; way too much snow!!! Ezma - that's it, get up and do your stuff first thing. Travel - spin class - I see them at the Y but I doubt I could keep up - they look like they are racing from the hounds of hell...full steam ahead! lilMiss - Congratulations on completing your challege! YAY!!! Rhapsody - 4 miles jogging on the tm - WOW! Yesterday was my clinic day, so the only exercise was the 35 min brisk walk from the train station to the clinic. Today, I did shoulder workout with weights, and then did 30 min on the treadmill. I managed to reduce my time doing 2 miles by 2 minutes.
