It is the last day of January - thank goodness! This winter has been brutal in terms of horrid frigid weather and lots of snow here...here's hoping that Feb is better! And what does that have to do with the topic? Well, it is far easier for me to get out and move and do things when I'm not housebound by ice-storms, and feeling an overwhelming urge to hibernate!! My last fill does seem to be helping me, and my evening snacks are certainly reduced in size! one package of endameme does this trick, or maybe 2 ff puddings - far different than before! I've had to have a smoothie on occasion at night to 'top up' my protein, but I really am making the effort to eat solid proteins instead. Good luck on your run Shiny. Ezma - hope that the extra pound was water CubsGirl - hope the extra exercise working for you; Rhapsody - how are things going with you? Olgi - The scale can be a reality check, can't it? All is not lost; get back on the program!!! FYI - I posted a welcome message to the 2009 February bandsters....I invited them to 'pick our brains' so watch out for them. I feel sorta protective of them...

Yesterday B: peanut butter protein smoothie L: 1 oz low-fat cheese; most of an apple; S: ff yogurt D: 2 oz turkey with 1/2c mixed veg; ff pudding S: 1/2c soy nuts

Cardiac Arrest on a plate!

Oh Brandy, I am SO sorry. What a horrid wedding present! Put it out of your mind until you return, and then full steam ahead! I wish you much joy on your wedding day, and great success on the job hunt. Keep us posted on both!
-
Hi Cubs girl. Feel free to join in! You're right - keep your eyes on your goal....and not the refrigerator!! Ezma - I hope you are fighting the food demon, and finding something to occupy you at night - packing perhaps? Rhapsody - How are you doing? It seems the evening snacks call out to many of us....and call and call and call....... Shiny - How is your battle going?
-
Yesterday B: choc-banana Protein shake (I wish I didn't need the occasional shake, but my band is too tight in the morning to allow eating...I miss my eggs!) L: 1/4c cottage cheese with pineapple chunks S: 1/4 cup soy nuts D: 1 oz low fat cheese; 2 slices ham S: ff pudding (with Protein powder mixed with it)

LJM - Very soon now...the excitement builds! Morning all.

I thought we might get a chuckle from this...:bored:

I am starting to substitute roasted chickpeas for nuts (my addiction). So, no, they aren't the same, but for me they provide a protein-high lesser fat substitute for peanuts, almonds, walnuts,... :bored:

:bored::w00t:Congratulations! Sometimes we are our own worst enemy - setting goals that are not realistic. It can be very discouraging to see others who started on the same day or after us losing more weight faster etc - it is human nature to compare, but not necessarily the best thing to do! Good luck and keep tracking the food and exercise!
-
LilMIss - how is the knee doing? Take it nice and easy.... Rhapsody - :bored::eek::w00t:You broke your plateau, and your total weight loss to date is fabulous!! And doing 3.5 mls on the tm is good! I started at 2mls, but as my speed to do that changes, I am slowly adding some more distance. I really want to be able to run 5K - not in a race, just myself to say that I can. Shiny - You're right - new shoes need some 'breaking in' time! Are you taking today off to prepare for your weekend run? As for me, I'm working from home today, so I don't know if I will get to the Y this evening....but if I don't, I know I will kick myself tomorrow. I did do some shovelling last night though to add to yesterday's total.

Yesterday B: 1/4c cottage cheese L: 1/4c chicken salad; apple (well, most of it) D: most of a small chicken breast with pineapple salsa S: 1/4c soy nuts; ff pudding Started (or rather re-started) measuring things EXACTLY. It is amazing how over time the measures start to become 'rounded' then 'heaping'.... Honest, this last fill really seems to be doing the trick...I'm not PBing, I can eat things, but I just don't have the same hunger.

Yes indeed! He is beyond contempt; you are to be congratulated for not only surviving but thriving once he left. Where to start? That's just stupid! Now that's a good spin on it!! Ditto That would be entertaining to watch.... Snort!!:bored: Is she ok Mac? Did the school report the incident to the police? OK, I think I'm caught up in the lives and loves of LBT PJTP participants. Whew! Hoping to confirm a Feb trip to california today. I just can't take the cold any more...2 weeks to thaw - and anything above 50 degrees would be positively tropical! I can't wait - assuming I can find a great seat sale, and my sister agrees I can stay with her.
-
Congratulations! There is a forum on LBT for pregnant banders - as there are several on here who are pregnant. Check it out.

Ezma - I am glad to see you posting again. Take those precious minutes, and do the exercise for yourself. It will help give you the energy to do all the other things!

Since my last fill last week, it has been so much easier to eat little and be satisfied....finally!! Anyway, yesterday: B: individual ff yogurt L: 1/4c cottage cheese (1%); 1 banana D: 1/4 c of chili; ff yogurt S: 2 oz soy nuts Ended up having to have a protein shake before bed as both my calorie count and protein count were too low

Tina It is, I know, difficult to come to the realization that a relationship is over, but it is also (as you are discovering) somewhat freeing. The difficulties will not all be over, but you have what it takes to get through them, and be a successful, happy person, and a great mother. I am so very happy for you, and proud of you.

Congrats Beth!

I must say that this latest fill seems to be doing the trick! I am eating so much less and am satisfied with it, and have to concentrate on chewing chewing chewing again. Of course, now I wish I had 'bitten the bullet' and gone for the fill in Nov....oh well, the past is past. although I am still having a snack at night, it is a mere snack - last night I had maybe one handful of soy nuts, and that was slow to eat. I ended up having to have a protein shake because my total protein and calorie count was too low and we all know that too low in calories just backfires on you. so today, I will make the effort to eat more. Imagaine, having to concentrate on eating more!! Love my band!

Did leg workout then 30 min on the elliptical...the tms were all occupied!
-
Although I seem to be the only one posting....and my last fill may just have done it...I am eating so much less, and not wanting to eat as much! Yesterdays menu: B: FF yogurt L: 1/4c cottage cheese (1%); banana S: ff yogurt D: 1/4 c chili; 1/4c soy nuts S: Protein smoothie (my calorie count and protein quota were too low)

tick tick tick...because the time is drawing near??? I am so excited for you. Gone/CC - no wonder they are your exes. Luluc - glad all is well LilMiss - take care of your injury PJTP - it's snowing again. I think I need some of Lulu's cocktail to cope today....
