Should I be mad at my husband for looking at dirty pictures?
tapshoes replied to Carrie_C's topic in The Gals' Room
This issues (as I see it) is NOT porn. The issue is trust. The man said he would not do something. He did. He tried to hide it. He lied. That is the issue. It could be about clipping his toenails sitting in the kitchen or paying a bill. He did what he said he would not do. That demonstrates a behavior that is not trustworthy. -
And laughing and laughing and laughing.....

So, this thread has been inactive, but I'll just start it up again! (MY sister says I was ALWAYS starting things....not me, Mom, it was her!:lunch:)...anyway, I avoided the demon nuts for most of the weekend and week so far - just one small lapse yesterday...and only about 6 peanuts. Wish I could say it was because I was being responsible/accountable, but nope, it was because DH brought something else to me to eat to distract me....he has his moments!

Oh no, another one who liked Road House?? I just do NOT understand the attraction...it definitely isn't in the permanent collection DH and I continue to build. Ah well, there is something for everyone. Afterall I am sure someone thinks that the Fantastic Voyage is good too!

Too bad you are losing your hearing...they are saying, take THE trophy, and pass it on to Tapshoes....her sparkling personality is always in season!!!

OK LilMiss, it's tomorrow! Yesterday is gone; what's today been like? Crappy weather takes its toll on me, too - and remember, I live where there is seemingly endless snow!!! It doesn't just impact your ability to walk, but bad weather can affect your mood too, and that just means if you at all use food as a crutch, you are headed for double-trouble! So, I'm hoping for fair weather for you!! Keep journalling here - you are helping more than you can know! -
Here's hoping that the slight de-fill will be the solution! Keep good thoughts, and let us know!
-
Oh dear! I am so sorry to hear aobut this; you must bed very discouraged! The fact though that you are still with the band, that you haven't given up in despair speaks very highly of you and your committment. As much as possible, try to live the bandster life until you can get a fill, and keep swimming (even if it is against the tide!)

Was that not the LONGEST 4-6 hour downtime ever??? I haven't been able to sign in since Sunday.... Anyway, to catch up: Saturday - only the exercise of house cleaning! Sunday - nope. Monday - upper body workout plus 30 min elliptical and 30 min brisk walk Today - swimming - all front crawl, no break, left the pool winded. I suppose that's good?!?!

:w00t::wub: Ditto! Ditto! Ditto - and what did it get me? More work!!!

Movies from the weekend... The Big Clock - 4 (another mouldy oldie B&W) The Big Chill - 2 (but the soundtrack is a 5) Arlington Road - 3 Oh, and The Fantastic voyage - 1 (Unless you want to laugh at the absurdity of it all..)

Glad to hear DH stood up to MIL....what was her response? How did he feel afterwards?

You are right, the winner ME has gone with the trophy....

I can live with this emoticon scale. That's why I gave it a 'mediocre' rating...I've seen worse (Doomsday comes to mind). DH and I have the 20min rule - you must decide within the first 20 min if you are going to finish it or not...once the 20 min are up, you are committed. At 20 min into it I was holding out hope for improvement (it had potential theoretically and thematically), but oh no, it just got worse.....

Well, an elliptical moves your legs forward (and depending on the model, on an incline). The wave moves your legs sideways and always on an incline. So instead of the thighs and calves, you work more of the hips as well as the thighs/calves. Then depending on where you put your arms, you get more of a core/abdominal or a butt workout. Either way, both are good; I think they complement each other, so I do one on one day, another day the other.

I think you had a great Day 4... and as for not being perfection - nothing is! You had a great day, you pushed yourself on the exercise, you noted where your trouble-spot was, and you persevered to do it another day. That is fabulous! Commendable! Wonderful! YAY LilMIss.............. -
Why Thank you LilMiss...I know you are admiring it from afar!!!

You can have the worm, Kiz, it's the trophy I have!

Did my upper body routine and then 30m on the treadmill (walking/jogging combination). Can't say my heart and soul were in it, but I did it anyway. Wish I could say that I was glad I had done it after, but nope, just glad it was over. Why oh why, or when, will I ever LIKE to exercise?!? It's been what, 10 months since I began my exercise regime, and it is still something I must do, not something I WANT to do. I've tried doing different things: cycling, swimming, treadmill, walking, the wave, the elliptical, aquafitness, etc....they are all ok once in a while, but nothing that I WANT to to every day... Whine whine whine..... I can hear you all now - suck it up and just do it. So, ok. I will.

Whatever is happening, enjoy it!

Last night's movie was Revolutionary Road...on a 1-5 scale, 3. Man, this weekend better have some good movies; I'm getting discouraged with the 2's and 3's...

Sorry to learn of the prognosis. Reading later posts, you have maintained humor and dignity...which you have undoubtedly learned are a help for both you and those around you. May you continue to live with grace and style. My thoughts are with you.
