I posted this in another thread, but thought it was SO much fun, my fellow VVs might enjoy it as well... Why oh why did my morning commutes (when I used to spend an hour each direction on trains), never have this kind of fun? At the train station in Liverpool , T-Mobile did this great commercial unknown to the daily commuters. They practiced for 8 weeks late night at the station. On January 15th, 2009, with hidden cameras and 400 dancers at 11:00 a.m. their plan was put into action.

Sweet little old me??

Oh no, another disturbing mental image occupying my gray matter...

Hey Shiny - What kind of cake? What design? And remember, it is the taste that is really important - yes, the presentation counts, but truly, I think eating it is the main thing, isn't it??? As for the blizzard - please please please, keep that snow there. I am all wintered out!! No more, no more...I can't handle it!

RSG - It is great that your physician is encouraging you to come in and get that fill. You've got this tool, so use it - now, if I could just do what I say (write).......

Book Thread: All LBTers Welcome to reply
tapshoes replied to ReadySteadyGo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've just started The Friday Night Knitting Club. so far it seems promising as a study of women and how they interact. I just finished Stephen Booth's The Dead Place...I love a good murder mystery, and Stephen Booth is an exellent author that genre. -
When I read (past and present tense) the books, I pronounced his name as if it was someone having great difficulty in swallowing something...oppposite of hacking one up..so same, but different. I too need more coffee.

Hmmm....me thinks turning on the burner under the skillet would be useful, but perhaps that's just an old-fashioned idea...:smile2:
-
At the Y and did my usual upper body workout and then 35 min cycling. As the sun is shining, and the temp is supposed to be above freezing (be still my heart!!), I may see if I can get in a walk today at lunch or after work...
-
you are confused...Orson Welles was the producer, director and actor
-
BBK - we missed you Babygirl - I know only of airline discounts for deaths of immediate family; and this is rebated after proof of relationship and death Mac - I thought the same thing Beth - it is better to be out of the environment, but what a situation... Plain - we all read what you post...with eyes rollling. It's Friday...thanks be! I meet with a financial advisor this afternoon - as I have no money, this should be entertaining for me!

Hysterical

I have always believed cats are tuned into a parallel universe or something - it is the only explanation for some of their behaviors.

Susan susan susan....shouldn't you be packing or something?? Let me help you by relieving you of this trophy...
-
The window blinds banging against the glass....not terribly energy efficient non-opening windows in this office building
-
Hel LilMiss, how did you get between RSG and me? Get outta the way, lady...it's mine mine mine
-
While holding the trophy aloft, RSG is tripped by Tapshoes and cries 'FOUL' while Tap shuffles off to Buffalo....
-
WOW RSG - 6 lbs? I don't think I have ever lost 6 pounds in a month...I've been a one-half/three-quarters of a pound per week gal since this started - EXCEPT for the plateau from hell (7 weeks, no loss....). So YAY RSG!! PS. Glad to see you posting.

I really enjoy them - but like Aubrie, I have to watch my intake as I was enjoying them too much! So, maybe once a week as a mid afternoon snack. Just the right 'kick' to them - hope you like spicy foods!
-
I am enjoying a selection of Enya...need to relax mind and body before the insanity of the work day
-
Tap graciously accepts the trophy, does a deep curtsey and exits stage left........

Good morning ladies... Rhap - glad to see you back. I know exactly what you mean on SO many of the things you said. I too still have to make myself exercise even after a year, AND I have spring fever - my hands are itching to get back into the garden - there may still be snow in the yard, but I can feel spring in the air. And as for the stomach issue - yes indeed, I have now occasionally popped into the plastic surgery thread because I have a real hanging gut of excess skin and some really ugly stretch marks. But as I am still paying off the band, plastic surgery is not in my immediate future - but I can dream! Shiny - I know you were discouraged with your hip issues; just don't push it too fast in building up your exercise again. Travel - YEAH!!!! What an accomplishment! Can you do that little flip at the end of a lane to turn around? I have yet to master that so I always touch the wall then pivot on my foot and start again. If I could do that little 'flip' I'd probably be able to swim total distances faster... Minx - Glad to see you are keeping at it. As for me, I did my leg routine this morning, and then added a few floor exercises for the abdomen - first time. OWIEE! Then did 35 min on the elliptical. ladies, in all honesty, I was preparing this morning to write my farewell to the VVs...there are so few of us left checking in that I was thinking maybe it is time to go...maybe we have outgrown (or maybe shrunk' :cursing:) the need to have this particular network. It isn't that I don't like to keep up with the few regulars who are left, but there doesn't seem to be much action in the VV forum...I'm undecided. Whatcha all think?

Lasst night's movies...oldies but goodies.... Treasure of the Sierra Madre - 4 (nobody does eerily over-the-edge-subtle- insanity like Bogart) Touch of Evil - 4 (Charlton Heston as a mexican was pushing it, but once over that weirdness it was a good movie).

Foggy morning to you all. Can't even seem to get coffee down this morning...that's not a good sign! I've been up for more than 3 hours and usually by now I have had a pot of coffee, plus my thermos of coffee that I tote to work, and maybe even another one I have bought...........how am I supposed to function without my coffee???!????
