And so you should....
-
Good morning everyone Shiny - It is unfortunate that you have to leave the house you love; I hope a transfer for your husband comes through. Now comes the dejunking and packing which is always (for me) somewhat stressful but fun (I'm weird that way). My fingers are crossed for a new job for DH! I'm glad this is going to be a short work-week...I just don't seem to have the energy I have had in the past, and no amount of sleep seems to beat it. I've slacked off horribly in following the bandster rules for eating, so that isn't helping either. I really need to get a fill, but I can''t get an appointment for a few weeks. Until then it is a battle between my mind and my stomach...and the stomach is winning!! Come on VVs - I know some of you are lurking out there; join this thread!
-
Morning all! Smith - hope you are feeling better Fanny - pics were nice to see Plain - no, not amish, nor a luddite! Kat - glad you are enjoying the job; DH and I aren't much for going away for the weekend - we are homebodies. Ebony/Beth - DH has just started into geneology; his new mac family program has become his addiction - well that, and the online vital statistics and church records... Mac - I couldn't access the pics, but congrats on reaching goal. Slim - I'd be leaving brochures on abusive relationships, and independent living around for your co-worker to find!

OK Cannucks, I'm starting to investigate plastic surgeons - I'm still paying off the band, and still have weight to lose, but I figure I may as well start the investigations now. So, is there any plastic (not cosmetic) surgeon in southern Ontario (To - Windsor corridor) that you would recommend for a tummy tuck?

You are too sick LilMiss to fight me... (insert Rocky theme)

I'm going to make myself accountable here.

LilMiss...Sorry to hear you have been feeling poorly; hope you are on the path to recovery. -
well LilMiss, I can't see us going to a movie together anytime soon! Slumdog, I agree with the comment, but would still have rated it a 4. But 7lbs as a 5 is beyond me! Only one movie this weekend - The Negotiator...3
-
Ebony - glad to hear that DD liked the university; sorry to read of your travel woes. I'm puzzled though - i thought the new airline securities wouldn't let someones luggage go somewhere if the person wasn't on the same plane?? Lulu - thanks for the real estate tidbit - DH and i will probably start internet looking tonight - particularly as the snow was such a rotten unwelcome horrible icky terrible thing to wake up to this morning. forecasters are saying another 3" of snow today with more tomorrow............ Glou - hope you aren't hit in the layoffs Beth - we use bottled not tap water so theoretically that shouldn't be the problem, but it is worth a try Susan - hope things are going well. CC - any word on the baby?
-
Yes Glou, a short week (thanks be). DH and I were discussing moving when I retire; up until now he has wanted to leave the country, and go to Costa Rica or Panama. For the first time now he has mentioned just moving to Florida...don't know why the change, but that's the thought now. We know nothing of Florida real estate so I guess the internet searching will begin. We do NOT want to live in a city; we want rural. We do NOT want to live on a main road either. So, any suggestions from any Florida bandsters?

Hi Tina, That's what life is for - to enjoy! Take lots of pictures, and keep us posted on your plastic surgery journey.
-
Good luck Jamie. Keep us posted. That's great Shiny! It's a snowy Monday morning, and I've no energy today at all. I did my Y stuff this morning, and I just feel more drained not energized. Hope everyone had a great weekend - I ended up working on Saturday but Sunday was good. Went for a long drive around the outskirts of the city just to wander; stopped in at a furniture store that does custom work (beautiful) and enjoyed the sunny (but cold) weather.
-
I. hate. snow. $:smile2::wub:#*&()%*&(#$*)($ Monday morning. I'm cranky and cold and wet.
-
Slim - I think you jinxed my coffee pot - last night it started hissing and spitting and spewing the coffee everywhere except into the pot. Guess a new one is needed .... Another reason not to carry one - HATE shopping! 'Tis true though; the only thing I carry to and from work (besides a song in my heart, and extra weight) is my lunch bag. Happy anniversary, Lulu. Done. Your DH remembered your anniversary??? In the last 5 years DH has not once remembered. Last year he was so proud of himself thinking he had remembered - he got the month right, not the day!! I just laugh - after all, what's a day in the scheme of things? [/quote=gone 4 ever;1191485] His reply............."The gravel in the driveway? I had it regraveled for you". :smile2::cursing: He could not figure out why I was MAD as a hornet! I guess I'm weird - I'd like something practical like a new stove, or the driveway redone or something. They are things I would appreciate and more useful then something like jewellery (that I don't wear) or something that wouldn't last like a weekend away somewhere.

Yoo hoo....LilMiss. Where are you??? You asked to be reminded/nudged/nagged/encouraged, but we can't do that if you aren't posting....:scared2: -
Starting to investigate plastic surgery
tapshoes replied to tapshoes's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks Doddie. Yes, there is a significant difference between cosmetic and plastic surgeons, and the college is the place to validate licensure. I am most interested to know if there are specific surgeons people would recommend for this procedure, and then I will check out their ratings and licences and complaints etc. Just wanted some suggestions before I open the yellow pages and start calling them all; like everything else, word of mouth can be a powerful tool. -
Fanny - glad to hear that you have restriction back. It's been well over a year, and I STILL have to think about chewing. The second I don't, I pay...over and over again! I'm going to have to get another fill this month - I've been holding off given the too full phenomenon of February, but I am losing the battle between my head hunger and the band, so it's time.
-
RSG - I've never been to a sushi party...I hope you had a good time! Im off to work today - it's rare that I have to do it, and it really irritates me that my weekend is interrupted because of it, but sometimes you just have to, so I'm gonna suck it up, and do it. I don't know about exercise today, and I really should do some - for some unknown reason last night I went on an eating binge...I cannot tell you all the crap I ate:sad::thumbup::scared2: Oh well, that was yesterday. Today is another day.
-
G4 - I know exactly what you mean about the chewing - I wonder how long it take to become habit? Purse? Who carries a purse? I walk to/from or take public transit to work and I take my lunch with coffee thermos, so why would I need a purse or wallet? The only time I take one anywhere is if I am going out for a special event and then it is a little black bag with $20, ATM card, (licence and keys if I am the dd). Nothing else is needed. If I have to go shopping (which means taking the car), then my license and 'magic money card' goes in my jeans pocket. Don't carry a cell or PDA either. Happy Saturday morning all (sunday eve to Fanny). I have to go into work today, so I'm up to get some housework done before I go....I hate when work interrupts my time off!
-
Hi Fanny, Of COURSE we missed you! Love the new 'do. Glad to hear all is well with you and the man. As for catching up....WAY too much to recap!
-
Keep it up, Shiny. Audone - Glad you are posting. And I too love spring; I wish it would hurry on and arrive... I was at the Y today and did my usual exercise routines; I wonder if when spring and summer really arrive, I will still go to the Y? It would be so easy to convince myself that with the nice weather I can do things outside, but will I? I suspect I will need to keep going to the Y or else my good intentions will fail...sorta like every diet I was on!! It's Friday my fellow VVs, Anyone have any exciting plans? As for me, I HAVE to go buy a new pair of sneakers, but other than that, I think Iwill wait and see what the days bring. Have a great weekend all...
-
What RSG?? You mean you didn't start at the beginning and read all the reviews??? :smile2::tt2: 1 - 5 rating where: 1 - I would rather remove my own eyeballs with a rusty knife than see that again. Time I will NEVER get back. 2 - ok as background noise if you are ironing or only partly listening 3 - alright movie; enjoyed it, but glad I didn't pay full price to see it at a theatre 4 - add it to the collection; good movie. 5 -oh why oh why can't they make more movies like this? This will stand the test of time for being a great movie.
-
Movies from this week so far: The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas - 4.5 (disturbing, but good) Grand Hotel - 3 (and yes, I know, a LONG trip down memory lane) Torch song Trilogy - 3 Cat on a hot tin roof - 4
-
No Glou, I'm sorry. Your sleepy eyes deceived you.
-
RSG - Online shopping is the best kind - no need to go and fight for parking space, or drag bags and boxes around, and have shopping carts pushed into the back of your legs, and stand in lines and so on. Can you tell I hate to shop? Be careful what you wish for - moving to where there is snow sounds nice...until you have to shovel it, drive in it, slip on ice, etc.....I can't wait to move to someplace without it!! Glad to hear you are working out an activity schedule that will suit your needs, Shiny. And I can ABSOLUTELY relate to the 3/4 sleeve weather - my upper arms haven't been out (other than in a bathing suit) for years, and are unlikely to now...I've grown some serious wings! Audrey- that weight loss is wonderous - congratulations! And yes, being tooooo tight is not good - I have had that and that's why Im hesitant to get a small fill now. But on the other hand, I can and have been eating everything recently. I'm trying to adjust to my new glasses, but it is a challenge - I have to move my head to look down at the keyboard whereas before I could just move my eyes down. But the new prescription and new glasses don't allow for that now - unless I want to be seasick!!!!
-
Hope you're feeling better, Lil Miss....so you can handle the disappointment as I take the trophy!
