Victorious Valentines - Feb. 08 - MASTER THREAD!
tapshoes replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Morning all! A rainy Tuesday, just as glad to be at work because I wouldn't be able to play in the dirt if I were off! But the walk to work was sorta soggy - 40 brisk minutes dodging splashing cars, and earthworms slithering on the sidewalk. RSG-Hard to know what to do; I hate the idea of contracts too, another reason why I joined the Y - a monthly fee. -
Doubt - 4 One of the rare movies that DH and I couldn't agree on the subject of the movie (we understood the issue, but were of different opinions as to what was the 'truth' in the movie).

MUAH-H-H-H-H (or however it is spelled)...it's mine!

Groper's Grasses Garden Center, in a town called Squeezeums. :tt2: Glad to hear you are back, and (we hope) a definitive diagnosis. There's a long list of people who belong to the self-sabotage club.... NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What she said! Ok after a great sunny Monday, it is now a cool rainy Tuesday - oh well. I managed to get a few plants plunked into the ground last evening so the rain will do them some good. Then when DH was not paying attention, I went into the workroom, and started cleaning up....I managed to get a green garbage bag full of crap out of there, and a box of boxes broken down for recycling. I just started sorting the gigatrizillion nails/screws/tacks/assorted small things when DH came looking for me......the organization will have to wait for another day when he's not around. I just don't understand about what is so difficult in keeping the little boxes labelled, closed and neatly stored, screw drivers hanging, hammers and other carpentry tools grouped, aligned and clean.

Moot - meaning of little or no significance. This is pronounced the same as boot. It is not mute (meaning the absence of sound or ability to speak).

ST Louis Gal....Your fellow VVs are missing you! We hope all is well. Drop by and say 'hi' on the master thread for VVs.

Shiny - WOW!!! They look fabulous!! I must look this decorating style up, and see how complicated it is. The end results are wonderful!!! Hope everyone had a good weekend - I was a good bandster (mostly)....ate properly, drank lots of Water, and got some exercise (severl hours outside on Saturday digging a garden, spreading lawn seed, trimming back last years growths, etc). For fun when to a garden center and bought some plants, admired others....I cant wait until I can spend time outside everyday gardening. So my VVs, how were your weekends? -
I did at 5am, and now, no. weird.

Sunday afternoon random post - Glorious day yesterday - went to garden center, picked up lots of stuff, fondled others, went home, dug a garden bed, spread mulch and soil, fertilized the lawn and just puttered in the great outdoors. Then, wicked t-storms approached; came inside and read a book, had a lonnnnggggg hot bath, sipped about 2 oz wine, got giddy, went to bed. Going to someone's house for dinner tonight - whoo hoo! I am bringing the desserts - Strawberry-rhubarb pies are baking as I type this. Time to go and enjoy the rest of this sunny sunday......

No Barb, You are holding your chin up, and facing defeat gracefully. I on the other hand, am holding the winner's trophy!

Isn't the sun reflecting off my trophy a lovely sight?

<<<<<hugs>>>>> Shiny, I am sorry that you had such a combination of factors all at once. And I am especially sorry that you are not pregnant...yet. I know that you must be hurting, and with good reason, but I also believe you will get through this. The weight will go eventually (although all of it to go overnight would be my wish if I had a magic genie!). Good for you to take that walk yesterday, and even better to get out today for your run. We are here for you. -
The coffee is espresso, not eXpresso.

You are the first person I've 'met' that likes patchouli! I've considered laser hair removal - but then I balance the cost of that against ohhh, food, or mortgage...it sucks not being independently wealthy! You probably would recognize the smell; it is distinctive. Now, liking the skunk smell is just weird. I like the animal (the babies are the cutest thing), but the smell, not so much! Snort! I log on anyway - why wait for a notification - you never know when there just may be a late-breaking PJTP!! I echo the spring sentiment - though I will do the gardening, not the walks.

i am staying on plan today because ...

in 6 weeks I will be at a conference with people who haven't seen me in over a year - I want jaws to drop!! -
As the original poster posted, it is a pet peeve. Something that bothers that individual. Just as someone else may be bothered by cupboard doors left open, or a toilet seat left up, or any other thing that is inconsequential in the grand scheme of life, but is irksome to that individual nonetheless. Perhaps Jaffa Steve, you are a rarity in that you do not have a pet peeve.

Morning all! Diva - glad to hear your chip boycott is working. Shiny - did you get your exercise in yesterday? RSG - if your fitness club has a variety of things you could alternate - elliptical one day, tm another, and so on. That way you wouldn't get bored as quickly. For me, paying the money to join the Y makes me go; equipment at home I can ignore!! RE: drinking while you eat - that one is tough for so many. I just don't set a glass at the table at dinner, and at lunch (as I eat at my desk) I remove my coffee mug and bottled Water.- it's not a perfect solution, but it helps me. A lovely Friday morning - although t-storms are forecast for this afternoon, right now the sun is shining and nary a cloud in the sky! Ive done my morning routine (today was a 35 minute brisk walk for the aerobics), and am at work with music playing, and a hot cup of coffee in hand! Hope everyone's day is good; any exciting weekend plans? As the weather is supposed to be warm (for here - 60ish), and sunny I predict I will spend time outside in the garden doing some raking, and cutting and planting....whoo hoo! -
Morning fitness - get it over with, is my philosophy. Besides there are fewer people at the Y, and that means more access to the machines...and usually the whirlpool to myself after. So now Im at the office, morning routines done, coffee in hand, music playing ........ahhhh, peace and quiet.
-
I am so glad it is Friday! t-storms are predicted for today, but it will be warm (at least warm for here - about 60 degrees). My boss has gone to Las Vegas for a conference so the office will be quiet.. I suppose I should get my rear in gear...time to get to the morning fitness routine. Catch you in a few hours....

Hello????? The echo is a lonely sound............

So many have tried, but unfortunately for them, I have retained the title of WINNER!!!

To add a few: There is a difference between alternate and alternative. To alternate is to switch between (that is, to go from one to another and back again), alternative refers to another choice. The overuse of the word own, e.g., my own house, their own doctor. The word own (in this case designating possession) is redundant. My house, their doctor. These are complete and do not need the word 'own'. Banned versus Banded. Banned - prohibited from; banded - you had band surgery. I could continue, but it is time to get ready for work...
