Morning Slim. WOW - how observant you are to catch Lulu's missing avatar. For the rest of you, regarding Slim's multi-post about 3 posts back - I echo it (too lazy to recap it).

Morning all! you were busy posting last evening - on topics from popsicles to antiques and shoes. Now where else are you going to have such animated discussions on such a breadth of topics? Beth your antiques sound beautiful and such bargains! I have very few antiques - and most of them are small items. I can relate to small houses though - I too downsized ALOT and what I notice most is the decreased wall space. I have no more walls on which to hang stuff - and this disturbs me the most. I have pictures not hung/propped anywhere as I don't have the room. Even behind doors and above doorways I have artwork. Time to get moving...even though I don't want to. I don't know what has come over me, but I am so very sluggish...I can barely get out of my own way these days! BAH! Have a good day all.

Hence reinforcing why I shall not join...I have enough of an addiction to this place! I'd never get anything done if I had 2 sites to monitor, or participate.

Angie - still recovering?? St. Louis? I had a BAD Sunday - I was unstoppable in eating crap and doing nothing! Yesterday was much better but only because I was feeling sick from the day before! Today I am back on the eating program, but not the exercise..I just didn't want to do it today. Seriously, I HAVE to get back on the exercise regime, but I just don't have any interest.......... I am thinking of going for a small unfill - I am starting to get a bit of a sore throat and have been having lots of post-meal burping...LOTS of it. So, perhaps I need a small unfill. I shall wait another day or two to decide and see if I start to have any trouble swallowing 'hard protein'. Yogurt all things slippery are NO problem. Anyway, that's my post for the day. Come on VVs. Tell us what's happening.

:huh2: Moderately so. It is of course sunny today - I'm working. Sun forecast for W/T/F...rain for the weekend. BAH! I'm interested in your review of the skechers if you get them. And yes, isn't it nice when someone does what they say they are going to do when they said they would? That is becoming more of a rarity. Glad I'm not the only one who is 'losing' posts. I thought maybe I was being 'told' something... She does appear to be so! I suppose so...but it would be nice if a few nice young gorgeous men were around too. Slow posting day here.

They look good - I'm sure they will be a big hit...and smush (at one year of age, smush is the preferred eating style). WOW! That sounds like a night! and day. Yes, I know all about those kinds of arrangements - lady of the house and the worker! Sounds like a Danielle Steel novel. I wouldn't have been able to move - I'd have been comatose on the floor! And yes, I think you needed a night to let loose. Oh oh - hope things get better! That's a fun time in the making! Glad to hear DD enjoyed it so much! A virgin mojito...I suppose. So, why can't you believe he tried it? Doesn't he like to try new drinks, food, things? Sorry Slim. I really was feeling sorry for myself today, and so kept away from here - don't like to bring others down. So, I did nothing today but eat lots of crap, and sat like a blob. Naturally, I feel even worse now that the day is over. Idiot! Tomorrow has just got to be better, or at least I have to be better! Do SOMETHING, and not eat crap...

Thanks, Slim! It's not like I don't have things to do - I have lots of things I could/should be doing...lists of them in fact. But I don't want to be inside. I don't want to be hibernating in the summer. I want to be outside in the garden. Oh well. maybe I ill go and start in on any of the little things I could be doing...but i don't wanna!!!! **Tap sticks out her lower lip, and whines**

Morning all. Unbelievably, it is raining again. I am just so sick of rain and it's making me cranky. I resisted signing on this morning in case I started bitchin' at you - can't be growling at my PJTP family! Ive consumed coffee, and worked on a puzzle, and just can't seem to get interested in doing anything... Mope mope mope. gack. gotta get out of this mindset.

So what key got changed in order to remove the cent sign? I'm thinking it used to be above the 2 and now that's the ampersand...but I don't remember. I just wait until he is out of the kitchen, and then reload it...and only those items he insists on loading incorrectly. I knew about the dehydration, but not the Vit B...must get some of that. ARGHH!!! Towels are probably my number 2 pet-peeve...I've been known to refold and straighten friends linen closets when I've seen towels not right. And in case you want to know, the raw edges never face out, the decorative trim is always facing the same direction. Oh dear. Well, unless he uprooted them too, they will grow back. Exactly!

I couldn't handle that! I had to instruct DH on the proper way to fold T-shirts - 1/2 lengthwise, rt arm, lft arm, 1/2 again. Sort by color, stack sideways in drawer. It works out though - he (ex military man that he is) was appalled at the way I ironed....I had to learn the 'right' way. Relationships are compromise, right?!?

Perhaps that's why you are scared of them - you witnessed or heard about this, and it frightened you. I feel like Lucy...Psychiatrist is in, 10 cents a visit. PS where did the cent sign go? It used to be on typewriter keyboards....of course this question is only relevant to those old enough to remember typewriters, which eliminates most of you!!!

Yes indeedy - it sound like the perfect spot...for guests, for a PJTP party, for retirement. What's your room rate???:sad: I've never tried pineapple mint - that sounds like an experiment in the making... I sympathize - I hate shopping of all kinds. Shopping on a Saturday is hell. Shopping on a Saturday before school starts - shoot me now! I would be just so out of sorts if I did that! I just can't imagine it. But this is not usual weather - it's just been a horrific year! Normally the snow is moderate amounts from Dec to March, then a regular spring, and then a hot humid hazy breath-stealing smoggy summer - ahhhh! But not this year - and the ratsn-fratsn meterologists are predicting August will be the same -unusually wet and cold....:cursing: Watching any good movies, Lu? Sounds like a good way to pass a rainy Saturday to me! Just not EVERY Saturday! I'm so glad that DH likes to cook. Not 'he doesn't mind it', he likes it! And is good at it too. His repertoire is not extensive, he is much less inclined to experiment, but what he cooks is good! I got a few hours outside today... I kid you not there was a thistle taller than me!! Now I am relaxing with a glass of white wine (not my fav, and not a particularly good one either, but hey it was what we had) and considering what to do to occupy my evening while DH is out...

PS for the mojito connoisseurs...which mint do you prefer? I find spearmint the best; one friend uses cinnamon mint with spiced rum...I think that's weird!

First pot of coffee is gone; DH is snoring away in bed and I'm planning my day... Lu - I'm glad your friend got some much needed rest. Face-banding - Lu you do seem to have a lot of people visit you; you need some time with just you, DH and the dogs to relax! Slim - how's the head feeling?:tongue2: KC - Whatcha baking/cooking today? Morning all. Seems you were having a busy posting night while I was running all over the neighborhood trying to corral my tenants small dog. The tenant went out for the evening, and the dog was downstairs yapping. About an hour later someone knocks on my door - a nice young man who asks if I have a small white dog - he and his girlfriend almost hit it as the dog was running up the center of the street, and then it took off. I notice the house is quiet...walk around to the back and see the screen window has been pushed out, screen torn and no dog. Well, rats. So, this guy, his girlfriend, myself and several other people whose houses these people have gone to are all wandering the neighborhood properties (no fences around here) trying to find/catch the dog - fast little wild creature! It took 2 hours to locate the dog, and then herd it to the house across two major roads that are wild with Friday night traffic and through many people yards and the cemetery! There's not a lot of lighting in a cemetery!! No one could come near the dog, and it was fast...man, it was fast! Finally it went back into the house the way it got out, but I couldn't close the window from the outside, I couldn't put the busted screen in, and anytime I moved from the deck to sneak to the front and get the key (thinking I would enter their apartment and shut the windows)....the little bugger moved to the window to try and Houdini out! So I sat on their deck, in front of the busted window in the dark, getting eaten by mosquitos guarding the apartment. Finally the tenant arrives home. I was not in the least angry (it's only a screen window that can be easily replaced) but I am very concerned for this dog's safety next time the tenant goes to work! But I bet the dog slept well last night! So, no drinks, no naked men, no sponge baths, no baking, no fun, no PJTP. And as for the promised sun...no sign of it yet. I think it was all a big lie to try and lift the depression of citizens - the wettest summer on record..................

Some day I will have to see Texas...oh wait, I will next year when we meet IRL, right? Haven't heard diddly-squat about that recently. Kat - the theater stuff sounds fun. When you wrote about the handyman 'he had permed hair down his back', I had an image of this very hairy-backed man...you know what I mean? Like hairy toes or fingers (ICK!) he had all this hair on his back which was permed.... Deep fried dough just doesn't appeal to me...sounds donut-ish and Im not a donut gal. So if ever/when I make it to a place where this type of fare is common, I think I'll pass on that.

Morning everyone! Thanks heavens it is Friday - I cannot wait for this week to be over. I just haven't been in the mood - for work, for exercise, for eating right - nothing! But I'm very hopeful the weekend will turn that around as it is supposed to be sunny! We haven't had sunshine in a good while - rain, rain, and more rain! Anytime I expected to see animals going two by two down the roads! Anyways, to catch up.... Fight Ezma Fight!!! Avoid the store as much as is possible. And resist...I'm a fine one to talk. DH bought a bag of unshelled peanuts last night, and of course, I HAD to had some. Not the whole bag, but still, I'm trying to avoid my personal demon. And I refuse to turn the house into a place where DH is restricted in what he does/likes/enjoys. Shiny - That sounds like a good (although noisy with all those kids) time! And you ride on every ride - twice if you want to! You have worked so hard, and this is the proof that it pays off! Enjoy enjoy! Isn't that wonderful!! Is the elliptical on sale? There might be better deals at a used fitness equipment place...all those January resolutions that faded in March... Those shoes look interesting. I'd like to hear a few more reviews though before I fork out that kind of cash - but as someone who walks almost every day, they may be just what I need to pump up the cardio. And yes, the song is ringing in my ears.... Yes indeed!!! I hope so too! OK everyone - have a great weekend...eat healthy and do some activity!

OK - I had to go back through the pages to respond to some other comments... Guts or balls - loved it!:tt2: Horses - Never been on one. Always feel sorry for them as they are carrying someone...I like to see them run free, run wild. Kat - Where I live, Mexican food is not common. So, what is a sopapilla? And yes I know I could google it, but Im on a roll here... Beth - full-time school as an adult. When I returned to university as an adult (an old one compared to the other students), it was fun! Unlike youngsters who really are more about the social life, I focussed on doing all the readings as given at each lecture, starting papers the day they were assigned, etc, and found it a good experience. At the time I had left a full-time good paying job to do this so I certainly missed an income particularly as I was still paying rent, etc. but I didn't find it as challenging as I had anticipated once I got back into the mindset. That adjustment took a while, but after that...it was good. Athletic shoes as discussed - must check into those. Bat/pterodactyl wings...I think they are why I can swim so good - the flap pushes much more water back propelling me further with less effort. Well, that and the natural floaters permanently affixed to my front.:laugh: Thank heavens this is Friday because I sure as hell couldn't take much more of this week! However, the sun is supposed to make an appearance tomorrow...I'll believe it when I see it!
