There's a lot of that going on!!

Changing topics altogether...we have now had a record 5 days in a row without rain. The first time since (according to the weather network) the second week of May. Jumping jimminies...no wonder my deck has moss growing on it (no kidding)!!:wink2::sad::sneaky:

But but but....no where did it say that a 'tick' was a check and not an X. So there! :sneaky::tt2::sad:

Victorious Valentines - Feb. 08 - MASTER THREAD!
tapshoes replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Lori, where are you????? Mom of 2 - Are you still around? CoolCrystal - Just because Im back didn't mean you had to go... RSG, come back!!!! To all the VVs, have a great weekend. And if your travels (in real life or cyber space) you meet some of our VVs who haven't posted in a while, tell them we miss them! -
The ONLY reason I would consider joining FB is to keep in contact with the LBT/PJTP gang...particularly those that have drifted away...LJM, Donna, She, etc. Otherwise, I do not have any reason to venture into that black hole of the internet .. But did you check the box properly??? No kidding, I once had a 'tick' the box form returned because instead of a 'check' I used an X. I was advised that a 'tick' = 'check'. :wink2::sneaky: :sneaky::sneaky: Suzy - Don't over exert yourself. Enjoy your weekend and relax! I would really question whether that was a legit charity. Love the helping the animals...sadly the HS doesn't do a similar thing here. In fact, they only begrudgingly take extra cans of food, or chew toys, blankets etc. They want cash. Other places I have lived, the Humane Society would take any/everything for the animals - I guess every place has different rules. Hey there, CC. Nice to see you here. OK - I'm caught up now.
-
I think not. Mine. See how nice the trophy looks in my hands????
-
[quote=*slim*;1318563 I will try to figure out some more of Lu's recipes to freeze for the future. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend (said as though I won't be on here all freaking weekend)! So, I'll see you here Slim! Unless of course you spend time on Facebook - at which case I won't see you.
-
You guys say you got 'nothing' but I'm reading visiting with friends/family and dinners out. That's something!
-
Plans for the weekend...nope, I got nothin'. Now how depressing is that??? BAH!

marathinner - I will certailnly keep you in my prayers; I hope everything is succesful. Congratulations Jul! And yes, don't question why, just accept the change in appetite, and use it to it's best advantage!! Maybe not, but it is a face of determination...and it gave you success!! I am so happy for you (but still perplexed by the whole urge to run:blink:). OK ladies, lets everyone have a great weekend. Keep on swimmin!! -
Poor BBK and Glou! I work where there is a multi-national food court in the complex. Hence why I bring my lunch every day - otherwise I would be feasting every day. I don't even walk through the food court - I enter through a back door to avoid the aromas...freshly baked croissants... Oh Lu wish I was there to help. I have made zucc pickles in the past - not a crisp pickle but more like a chow. (We need something to distract Plain because otherwise this topic is going to become peverted. Quick, someone take your clothes off!) I carry my thermoses (thermi?) and my lunch bag...1 thermos coffee, 1 fruit smoothie or soup... Ktork - glad DD is fine; and love the questions! I remember asking my doc at my first surgery (age 5) why they wore green in the OR etc.... Ummm...but how do you know when your calculator isn't working right? (I double check numbers manually - even doing taxes) ICK!! Heart - have a great weekend. I love my cork kitchen floor. I am a firm believer in 'if you haven't used it/worn it in 12 months, then out it goes. Not a hoarder. Morning Slim! My first response where nowhere too. Hmm. Conspiracy??? Morning all!!

Hey Jul! That's it, the band works with us. You are doing great. Shiny - Another post of good news! YAY you! And yet another good news poster - whoo hoo!!! Your NSV is wonderful Ezman; I know how those Cookies were calling out to you! Yes indeed, where are Crystal, Lori, RSG, Mom of 2, and others??? Comeon ladies, post and let us know what's happening! I still havenot made it back to the Y after my month of the 'blahs'. I am however back to walking to/from work, and being more careful on my food. Not great, but certainly a LOT better than last month. I just need to keep on swimming! -

That's fabulous news, SLG!! Keep us posted. -
OOh...the lineup for ringside seats starts here!

A Type A personality perhaps? I remember those days...a B was barely acceptable. Your edit was chuckle worthy! All it took for me was my Grade 11 math teacher to turn things around - a test EVERY Friday and drills, drills, drills. She turned around many a 'math-failure' into a math person. You HATED her at the beginning of the year and by the year end, she was your mentor or dream teacher. Hmmmm...could I guess the person??

What a nice positive feel-good post! (although the running thing eludes me).
-
Yes. It is. Ditto!

Morning all to the PJTP posting fools - man, you guys are a busy lot! Remember PJTP is a politics free zone. Finally it's Thursday (it is, right??) - with m mother staying here I get so very tired and confused. So while she sleeps a bit, I thought I would get caught up on the events here before heading to work. And yes, I'm up early enough to 'do' the Y, but I am just NOT interested and the thought of it makes me shudder. I will walk to work, but I am definitely easing back into the hated routine of exercise....blah! Have a good day (and Fanny, for you a good evening) all.

Lots of posting going on...Love it! I'm working from home today as mother isn't feeling too well - sore throat, and now one of her toes looks 'bruised'. As she is a diabetic this isn't a great sign, but as I am not a nurse or a doc I can't say what it is. BUT, she doesn't want to go to a doctor here because: 1. They don't know me, dear; 2. There are lots of other people sicker than I am, dear. 3. I don't want to bother anyone, dear; 4. Maybe it is just a bruise and I just don't remember stubbing my toe. 5. You shouldn't take time off of work dear during these hard economic times. You need to work. 6. I said 'NO' dear. Fanny - sorry about your tooth. Lu - coyote is my guess Beth - Fabulous!! Heart - you have a busy few days so take this break when you can. Ebony - only 6 pounds; you can do it! Brandy - one glass of wine won't hurt ya! (Does that statement make me an enabler?) Lu/Glou - animal 'presents'...yes indeed. I have had my share. Sometimes living, sometimes not. Never nice to deal with. OK - gotta see what mother is doing, then back to work...

This is wrong. Just wrong. BY talking you learn how to converse, you learn about social interactions, you learn to listen, you learn to make friends and be friends, you develop social skills. Yes, there needs to be respect, there needs to be some quiet times, there needs to be the consumption of food at lunch, but they are people...and people (young and old) talk. After verifying this info, I would pull my child out, alert the media, the school board, the department of education - any and every one I could think of.
-
Such a great positive post! You sound so happy, and you deserve to be!!
-
 Hey, wait. Why would I have that book? Are you suggesting that I need it? Morning all.
-
You guys sure are busy in the evenings! Lu - yes, pics. lots of them. Love to see this creation coming to life. BBK - I'm so sorry about your situation. First Faith, then this. Hugs. Lu/Beth/Glou - Turkey bacon - no. Turkey= bird. Pig = animal. not the same thing. Like skim milk = water with white food coloring FAnny - recipe sounds delicious. Must investigate these 'short cuts'. And I meant to mention earlier, I just LOVED that red dress. I want one. Glou - wine IS nice. Ebony - I know what you mean...I just had to check in before I went to bed. (Although it is going to be a rough night I can tell. I'm WAY past my bedtime, wide awake and the pantry is calling....) Plain - Whatever can you mean?? Tap asks wide eyed and innocent. Blink. blink.

Thanks for your message, RSG! I appreciate it more than you can know! I am back after my month long hiatus...and now I need to reconnect and make sure everyone is ok.
I love you too.
