  1. Assuming that I ever reach goal (s l o w though the process has been), I will leave it as is unless I start to gain weight. And then before you can say 'ice cream' that sucker will be inflated some more.

I hate it when people post just to post.....

What you said! Enough, people. Just stop it. It's Saturday night; go party!

You are NOT crazy; the word is naive. BTW: My DH concurs.

    The Union Tribune YEAH!

    That's so exciting! Congratulations.
  6. Thank heavens you are alright! That's a wicked combination of factors for your body to adjust to (lack of food, medications, lack of sleep on top of low blood pressure)....time to get some rest AND make sure your caloric intake (through healthy foods - not icecream) is up. Take care.

    Givin' up the ice cream

HAHAHAHA!! I'd even keep the funky eyewear - save on makeup in the morning; one cybernetic implant and you're good to go!

    Givin' up the ice cream

OK once-a-week club members, I made it through last night without nuts...and without going nuts! I contemplated Peanut Butter straight from the spoon, but figured you call me on that (the form of the nut is irrelevant, right?) so I had a sf popsicle...not the same thing at all! But I did it. My resolve was weak (almost gone), but I did it. How many Saturday nights until Hallowe'en??????:lovechoc::biggrin:

AHH - the first cup of coffee on a Saturday morning! House is quiet, street is remarkably (unusually) quiet, and the madness of cram-everything-into-the-weekend-because-it-is-your-only-time-off has yet to begin.

    Losing weight but feeling fat?

Isn't it amazing/sad how we train our brains? I too never thought I was THAT big; obviously I was more meaty than the skinny-minny's I work with, but I mean, they are all just little waifs aren't they? And now after slow but steady weight loss, although I have a LONG way to go, I think OMG just how big am I?? I need to work on re-training the brain...

    Co-worker Sabotage

You handled a potentially upsetting and embarrassing situation beautifully - with diplomacy and tact. I agree that perhaps she is (perhaps subconsciously) trying to derail your efforts; you have to be strong. I would always prefer a less confrontational approach that others may suggest particularly if you work closely with this co-worker, but you must find a way that finally does make her stop. You may have to revert to embarrassing her, but make that a last resort.

    "Just Be Beautiful"

What a great guy! And it is true, we are our most harsh enemy. This reminder is fabulous. Give the guy an extra hug from me!

    Chicken Enchiladas

Yes indeed, they sound delicious. A pan this weekend for sure.

    Eating Cold Cereal

I never put milk on my cereal - it's not a band thing; I've done it since childhood. At the risk of hearing everyone say EWWW, Yuck, I put one or two tablespoons of fruit yogurt on top. So, it moistens it, but still leaves some crunch, less sogginess but I still get the calcium and fruit. YUMMMM!

    just had a weigh in

77 pounds in 5 months - that's fabulous! There are a lot of slow losers (such as myself) who would be walking on the clouds if we reached that kind of goal...but I realize everyone is starting from different places. I hope you reach a weight loss rate that satisfies you. Take care.

    Givin' up the ice cream

Great...now we can talk about space travel and aliens and the borg....oh how I wish I had a 7 of 9 body, tertiary adjunct of unimatrix zero-one. (Voyager)
  22. Oh Ezma, Take care! Fainting is not normal. Low blood sugar is one possible cause.... I'll be thinking about you.
  23. I know exactly what you mean - I had a few silk dresses a la Sue-Ellen Ewing/Dallas style that were my size, but in my ruthless purge this weekend, they too got tossed. I kept one or two business suits but I am taking them to be tailored - shoulder pads out, skirts re-styled. It will probably cost me a fortune, but still less than buying new suits (I hope).

    Givin' up the ice cream

Oh RSG, you discovered the loophole...that pesky 'serving size' qualifier! RATS!! This is going to be really difficult now - 1 serving of nuts only 1 night a week........but I can do this, I am stronger than my nutty nuts addiction. I promise: from now until Hallowe'en, Tapshoes will have ONLY 1 serving of nuts, 1 night a week. I will be accountable to the once-a-week club (Ezma is the chair). There, it is in writing...see that brain??? it is in writing, so just stop sending me messages, stop tempting me....or else!!!

Obviously I am technologically challenged...I can find the ignore section on the usercp forum, but I can't figure out how to ignore a thread. Do I type a thread name? :tongue2:
