Decaf? or some other variation? I have my usual brands, and if they ever mess with them..........
-
I'm on cup #2...
-
Good luck, Ebony. Hold yourself composed; you are stronger than anything they can throw at you. We are all so proud of how you have handled this terrible situation. They cannot take your pride, your skills, or your professionalism. I've never heard of that. Sounds like the members are getting their union dues money's worth. I've been both a union representative in an organization in tumultuous times, and management at different places. I truly have seen and worked both sides. I've also been an independent consultant, so I've got a well rounded perspective on how organizations in my sector can run. Oh...a Borg reference....the lineup for a 7 of 9 body starts with me!! But what would the fun in that be? I didn't know this. Understandable but really annoying if you are inclined to send rare or unusual wines as small tokens of thanks/celebrations etc. Guess I will just have to drink any wine I might purchase for gifts.:w00t: Agreed. For those in school - teachers and students alike - have a great first week!

Morning Slim! They were posting fools last night; I gotta go catch up...
-
But isn't one of those benefits effective representation when meeting management? At least, it should be!
-
I'm so sorry Ebony. When things have gone this far, you are highly unlikely to get 'straight' answers - everyone is too busy making sure to cover their butts in case of litigation. So, the fewer the words spoken or written the better. I am so very angry and sad about your situation.....:hurray::blush2:

:w00t:Standing alone, that sentence made me do a doubletake...oh no, Is Plain rubbing off on me....ACK!! that's worse. Is Plain having an effect, nope. That's no better. Um...oh, forget it....

I know what you mean - my arteries were hardening reading the list of winners!!
-
Quoting a news link: The winner decided to wrap seasoned butter in a dough and fry it. "Fire, butter, there you go," he said. His delicacy — which comes in regular butter, garlic, grape and cherry — picked up the title of Most Creative food Monday in the fifth annual Big Tex Choice Awards. This year, Fernie’s Deep Fried Peaches and Cream walked away with the Best-Tasting trophy. The desert is made by deep frying peaches dipped in a batter that includes cinnamon, ginger and coconut, then drizzling raspberry sauce on top and adding vanilla butter cream icing on the side for dipping. The other finalists: Texas Fried Pecan Pie; and Fried Peanut Butter Cup Macaroon. Past winners: fried banana split and fried cookie dough. Not Gonzales’ first win: He has also won Best-Tasting titles for fried peanut butter, jelly and banana sandwich, Most Creative for fried coke and Best-Tasting for Texas fried cookie dough.

So Lu, I checked the online local paper - all the entries were (in my opinion) disgusting stuff! Ick ick and double deep fried ick!!!

Victorious Valentines - Feb. 08 - MASTER THREAD!

Thanks Ezma It is difficult to get back 'into the groove'...I won't schedule another fill though until I am sure I am over my crazy eating. During my 'break', I ended up getting a slight defill as I was PB'ing, sliming, and in discomfort constantly. The mental stress was absolutely interfering with my band. So, when I'm back to my normal self psychologically then I will get an itsy-bitsy fill...until then it is sheer willpower (and I've little of that) keeping my eating a little in check. I haven't gained a LOT, but I have gained.:mad2: Soon... -
Now I understand! Did hubby have a nice b-day? Did you get your bloody mary?
-
Lu - Why the roofer? If you renovated upstairs first, then wasn't any roof issue dealt with then? Or am I missing something? I understand the impatience though...

It's a slow morning here at work; a number of people took today off for an extra long weekend. Which means it's sorta like a vacation for me...fewer people to annoy me!

Not so fast, Barb!

So, I was on a 2 month vacation??? Yes Jul, that is the truth. Don't focus onthe negative; every day is another chance...thank heavens! Hey SL - great to see you! Hope you had a great weekend. Morning Ezma! Well, I'm with you on 'can't be good 99% of the time" - I'm hoping to get back to good 50%!! I am still eating WAY too much, but small steps. small teeny tiny steps! I can't say Im looking forward to the cooler autumn temps - we have't had a real summer yet!!! We have had though a record 8 nice days in a row - first time since April! Of course today it is cool and foggy.....blech! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I didn't do nearly the amount of things I had hoped to, but certainly I did more than previous weekends. I managed to weed and trim one flower bed, and mow the lawn for about 30 minutes - that was it. But compared to the last few months, that's a huge improvement! Too bad I wasn't inspired to keep at it, but I wasn't! Managed to get enough energy to prepare a BBQ meal for 8, and did a little baking too. So all in all, it wasn't toooooo bad. How did everyone else do?? -
****LONG catch-up post alert**** You guys were busy this weekend... Ummm, have you wondered what might be in that hill?? This explains sooo much! Are your kidding? They don't teach writing? A generation of people who will be completely lost (literally (no GPS)and figuratively) if ever there is a sustained power shortage? Sounds exhausting...I'd just go to the nap:tongue2:. ARGHHH!! Exactly!! I tried to explain to my nephew that spell check requires that you know how to spell, otherwise how do you know which word is the correct one. EXCELLENT suggestions. I would add social skills - politeness, honor, responsibility. Less litigation, more courtesy as an approach to life. And when she is, shut and lock the door; ignore the phone... LOVE it!:w00t: Me too! Already have the big fluffy coats (any wonder??), have a minimum of a years worth of canned food at any time, always have water purification tabs,... sounds like a fun day! Outside, playing in the dirt! Well now, if your are shipped body and bones to the nuthouse, the groceries will have been money wasted! Hope your evaluation goes fine, you seem normal to the PJTP gang....which on second thought.... Me too!! I ask DH NOT to buy cheese (he does the grocery shopping)- I can eat huge quantities with no stopping or remorse. Costco is particularly good at 'feeding my addiction'... Ditto on the zuc fires recipe request. And WOW your monring temps were colder than mine!! We had a glorious weekend - not hot, but warm and sunny...a record now of 8 days of sunshine in a row!! Of course today it is cool, foggy and damp.......... Keep your eyes on the goal... Yes! Don't live your life with "I wish I had...". If you want something, go for it. My living room ceiling was to be painted this weekend - it didn't happen. We are procrastinating on doing it (which is unlike me) becuase to do the ceiling, no matter what paint is used, a 1950's stucco ceiling causes paint spray, so that means everything must come off the walls, and all furniture covered. And there is very little wall space that isn't covered in art...lots of it.

Morning Slim! Gotta get back into checking LBT first thing in the morning, but for some reason today was a little frazzled-y (yes, a new Tap-ism). I am now going to go back and read all the events/stories posted...
-
Really sad. They grow up to become people who want everything spoonfed to them, no critical thinking, whining, ignorant adults...(I work with some of them!!) Um...Glou, me thinks you were a bit of a hellion as a child. CC - The recipe sounds delicious! In my recipe, the zuc is sliced and then left to dry a bit on a towel - helps with the moisture factor. Let me get this straight...in kindergarten in the first weeks they have decided what type of child your son is, AND they have report sheets?!?! Man!! Morning all. I slept in (again), and am relaxing with coffee.
-
That's it for me people. 'Tis time I went to bed. Tomorrow will be Day 6 of dry weather, and perhaps I will 'hit the dirt' early. or not.... Night all.
-
But will they dig on command??? If so, I was planning on building some new beds this fall, and need the sod removed and the earth dug about 18"...what's the rate you pimp them for?
-
Have seen the recipe before and thought about it, but never progressed to making it.
-
Without knowing what it is you're growing, it is difficult to say. Perhaps it is a wild strawberry (which isn't a weed but is invasive). I dislike sprays of all kinds, and am a 'dig to China to get the root' kinda gal otherwise it really is a wasted effort. If it has never been there before though, it shouldn't have that much of a root, so I'd be digging it out. Sorry. If you asked at a garden center they would know what it is and could advise you though.
-
:wink2:...hey, wait a minute...that's right. They'll still be there mocking me. And multiplying. :sneaky:

I didn't sign up for THIS summer...it is unusual. Normally there are 'just shy of hades' summers with towns putting on Water bans etc...but this year is...um depressingly weird (and soggy). Funny, it was only at dinner I was mentioning to DH that I really needed to get into the garden and do some long overdue weeding, trimming etc...he looked at me and said ' now that's a sign you're getting better'. Gotta love DH! Sadly, I really don't have the energy for it...maybe tomorrow!
