Sophomoreville - A Home For The the Tweeners

I’m the same. I’m down to 158 lbs, wear a med shirt, but 12/14 in pants! I keep reading about people weighing more, but the same or smaller size! Oh well, it’s stull smaller than I was!

Going to see Mary Poppins! Staying off property at the blue heron beach resort. It’s a 1 bedroom condo very close to the parks! We found it when my daughter was working in the college program. Much more space (full kitchen) than on property.

Doing the typical Jewish Christmas thing; movies & chinese for dinner. BUT we’re leaving the next day for New Years Eve in Disney World!!

That might work for some, but for me, I NEED to eat softer, wet foods especially meats. Almost guaranteed to come back if it’s tough or dry. I only have chicken thighs, more marbled meats and softer veggies. And I’m 2 1/2 years out, having lost 135 lbs. so I guess it works for me

Hair loss is awful! BUT, it does grow back. Added benefit-I haven’t had to shave my legs or pits in over a year! I’ll take what I can get!
  7. Hi. You've done a great job! I had my sleeve surgery last July. Then in September due to complications, I had an emergency revision to rny. I'm doing well (have lost 123 lbs-20 away from my goal) but I have trouble remembering not only to take my vitamins but also to eat & drink! My dr actually told me that my one job is to eat!! I'm hoping that maybe we can help each other. Feel free to pm me (just not on facebook as most people don't know I had surgery). Looking forward to helping each other!

    October surgery!!!

Hi. I had my surgery last July but as I also haven't told many people I would love to have someone to connect with. Also with you being in London, maybe you have a different perspective. Drs here don't agree on diets & plans. Do they differ from dr to dr in England?

Hi. I'm in Alabama. I had the sleeve but during emergency surgery was converted to rny. (There is no religious forum for rny). Anyway, I'm 10 months out, list 95 lbs. curious about Pesach. Which is better, wine or grape juice? I've never drank 4 CUPS, so it will only be 4 sips. But between that, charoset, and matzoh it's going to be interesting to say the least. Thanks
  10. Unfortunately I'm becoming an expert on structures. The esophagus ones seem to have settled into just inflammation but I have it bad at the bottom of the pouch into small intestines. I've had it dialated multiple times (approximately every 3-4 weeks). But I have had multiple complications including perforations that forced the dr to convert sleeve to bypass as an emergency. So maybe mine is unusually bad. Good luck!

  12. I'm kind of new to this group. I was sleeved on 7/7 so I'm about 8 weeks out. I'm having a lot of trouble eating/drinking enough. I ate 1/2 ounce of fish & was so full I couldn't eat or drink for hours. I can't get in Protein drinks either. I drank maybe 4 oz over an hour & now I'm too full to take my Vitamins. I've had an endoscopy that only showed mild swelling so I don't know what else to do. I'm pretty sure I need more than 120 calories/day. Any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
