Been a big guy all my life, and have struggled with food since a young age. I'm 5'11, and back in 2006 I was at my heaviest at 392 lbs. I got Lap Band surgery and over the next few years lost 112 lbs. My lowest weight was 280, and it began to come back after a few years. Life happened, as it does, and as of April of 2016 I had gained back 50 of the 112 lbs I'd lost. I didn't want to gain it all back, and had also developed some bad acid reflux issues from my band.
 
I'd moved to Austin, TX in 2014, so I had to start from scratch with bariatric care down here. I found surgeon and consulted him. After a few tests, it was determined that my band had slipped,  and I'd developed a hiatal hernia. The doctor's recommendation was to remove the band and convert it to a sleeve. 
 
On June 27th 2016, I had a 3-in1 procedure done at St. David's Medical Center in Austin TX by Dr. Ganta. He removed my Lap Band, repaired my hiatal hernia, and did a gastric sleeve on me. I'm writing this 6 days post-op and feeling good. I'll update this as time progresses.
