I expected to feel crappy post op but didn't expect to feel so miserable on my preop diet . I know that none of this is easy by any means but seriously was blind sided by feeling literally sick from my Preop diet . @@Nora82 I can't tell you how glad I am to read your post about Dr Davis ! I was suppose to have my surgery with a different surgeon initially then for some reason he was not available. I now am scheduled to have my VSG done on 7/7/16 by Dr Davis in Erie, PA. I was so nervous because I haven't even met him yet and won't until morning of surgery . I just wanted to say thank you to all of you on this thread . I too am having doubts. I am 3 days out until surgery and have felt terrible on this pre op diet . All I keep thinking about is " AM I GOING TO FEEL THIS CRAPPY ON THE POST OP DIET ?" If so for how long ? It's seriously just drained me ! I'm moody , lethargic and we'll just miserable . Probably didn't help that I waited until my Preop diet to cut out my Diet Coke . Man I Miss it ! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm getting very close and more nervous ! At the hospital they have monthly support groups but since I live almost an hour away I haven't gone to any. I would love to meet up with people who are on the same journey as I am . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

@@carlaw I'm trying but I feel so terrible right now . Thankfully I only have to do this Pre op diet for a week . I'm allowed 3 Protein shakes , broth , sugar free Jello & sugar free Popsicles. I'm so hungry ! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My surgery date is 7/7/16 . On day 3 of the pre op diet and having a horrible time . It's so bad that I'm thinking about canceling my surgery. Is the post op diet comparable to the pre op ? I don't know if it's caffeine withdrawal or the strict diet but I feel terrible ! Headaches, nauseous and no energy . HELP .... Please give me hope and tell me it gets better .
