I didn't have my husband stay with me. It was pointless for him to be there once I was in my room b/c I was out for the count. I do remember most of my visitors, but I couldn't see straight or carry on a conversation. He would have been bored sitting there watching TV while I slept. Good for you!! Yes I was in terrible pain as well I had my procedure on Wednesday 7/6 I left the hospital a few hours after surgery.. I feel so much better on day #4 my right side is still sore and feels the worse but I'm unable to drink any Fluid.. Water hurts to go down.. Any suggestions on how you were able to take down your liquids. I did check the scale and I've lost 8 pounds since Wednesday but I'm still worried because of the liquids Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I was having trouble with my liquids too! I had surgery on 7/7 and have been afraid to over do it, however my doctor told me that if I warm them up instead of trying to drink them cold it would help and it has a great deal. I had to do a sleep study as a requirement also. I swore up and down I didn't have it and that I felt fine. I've been on my cpap for two months now and I sleep wonderfully! No more headaches, not having any problems staying awake during meetings, and I don't wake up drenched in sweat anymore. Another plus is my hubby can sleep without listening to me snore. I hated it at first, but now I can't sleep without it. I will be very interested to see if I still need it after. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm scheduled for surgery on Thursday, July 7th and I was getting lunch ready for my kids. Without even realizing what I was doing I had eaten a few crackers. It was that stupid habit of mindlessly eating and I'm so afraid that I messed things up for my surgery. Other than this slip I have followed my 2 week pre-op diet to a T! Am I going to be ok?? @chellevsg I've been on the same liquid diet since June 23rd and 2 days prior to surgery I can't have any Protein at all, just broth, sugar free Jello, and Water. It does get better! You're in the home stretch Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
