thank you very much ... I called them today and they said that medicaid doesn't cover the lap band surgery .. I called medicaid and they told me they do if it is deemed medically necessary .. I am getting soo frustrated !!! Grrrr ... I am going to another seminar this thursday so we will see what happens.. I will keep you posted Take care and have a good day ! Julie -

thank you very much !! I have called and checked with medicaid and they will pay as long as the doctor accepts medicaid , I just need to find a doctor now .. I am determined that I am going to have this surgery so that I can have my life back and I will not stop until I reach my goal.. -

I am currently on Medicaid in Texas and it is to my understanding that if you have co morbidities associated with morbid obesity that medicaid will cover bariatric surgery because they consider it a medically necessary .. I am currently looking for a doctor that will accept medicaid will keep you posted..
