Day 2 post op 8lbs gained from IV
WhtWdUGive620 replied to LoveAlwaysKia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too gained. What a shocker it was. I had to go to my Drs appt 3 days after surgery. Albeit slow, I was down 8 lbs. I know it's not much but it was just the beginning. It will happen! Good luck Kia -
I was 5 weeks out and got carried away, even though my indulgence was allowable proteins, I still went too far and paid the price. I remind myself how horrible that felt and have reeled in the temptation. Perfect? By no means, I do carry that water with me at all times and take a good, slow swig when I feel the urge coming on, I have also stashed protein drinks in my truck, purse, office and even friend's offices, just in case. It's helping, you just have to find what works for you. Good luck!

I too hit that stall, that's how I found myself at this amazing site. There truly are many here with encouraging words of wisdom! I too have embraced my stalls. Yes, more than one. But I know I've put my body through a lot and have to be patient with her ???? -
Salad....ever again? If so when?
WhtWdUGive620 replied to LACRACRA2's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I, along with others, am finally eating salad! I waited until I was at my 8 week mark, had it yesterday along with steamed tuna. Though I can still only manage to get down a few tablespoons at each meal, it was amazingly satisfying and worth the wait. You will be at this point soon enough! -
The struggle is real and why I'm going through with it.
WhtWdUGive620 replied to walkermy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's exactly the reason I finally gave myself this gift, sleeved on 6/7! Has not been an easy journey I had my doubts, I have my moments but I know this is the best decision I could have ever made and the best thing I have ever done for myself. Finally, for myself. Good luck to all of you as you start your own journeys -
Feeling frustrated-Not going to meet the goal

So sorry your surgeon feels the need to add extra stress to an already stressful situation! Hang in there and just keep doing what you know to be the right things. -
Oh you went the day before me. Doing pretty good. Cheated for first time had some ice cream and trust me I have been hard core all the way through. Dumb idea sick as a dog. Via the bottom end of business. Walking 3-4 miles a day. Feeling good. Weight is coming off 2 lbs a week. How about you? Are you feeling strong? Hope all is well. Michele Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App Hey there Michele, doing pretty good, and my first adverse reaction came from adding too much mayo to my tuna! I lost crazy fast for first couple of weeks, now it's down to about 2-3 lbs per week, but at least it's not going up!! Yes, fairly strong, I have my moments but trying to keep the bigger picture in mind. Oh, total of 48 lbs as of yesterday. Although I'm not supposed to be weighing myself Desire'

Which Question or Suggestion Are You Sick of Hearing?
WhtWdUGive620 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I too chose to keep it to only my kids, sister and 2 of my closest friends. I just knew if I had people telling me what I should or shouldn't eat, I'd punch them! I have told a handful since, but start out by saying I choose not to tell everyone because I really don't want it to be the maim point of conversation. So they know better than to bring it up when I now see them. -
How many incisions did you end up with?

My saving grace was a savory beef broth, it almost tasted like a prime rib! It got me through til I could have something a bit more substantial. Hang in there -

I took 6 days off and had assistance setting up for classes. If something had to be moved and no one was around to help, I just leaned against it til it was in the correct location. Going back to work was a bit uncomfortable. To help Stay on course, I carried Water with me at all times and just walked a bit slower Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App -

So glad I found this forum! After having called the support liaison and getting words of encouragement, it still just wasn't enough. Started reading in this forum and felt there would be more of a connection from others who've actually been through it. Gained the typical hospital fluid weight of about 5 lbs, then lost about 40 lbs in just over 2.5 weeks. Now I've been on a holding pattern for over a week. Can anyone who's already finally passed the early stage stall period give us an update? Sent from my LG-H740 using the BariatricPal App
