    Im more worried about the dr making jump thru hoops to get this. Can drs require more of you that what your ins requires?

    They req bmi of 40, phsych release and agreement of post op regiment and diet. That is what the med policy says and i called to make sure there was not grp req notes on my policy.

    What is your grp/id # i have access to ok policies i should be able to access your pred even though i work in tx. I can see why it denied and what steps you need to take if any.

    Insurance nightmare BCBS OK

    That is so sad. I'm so sorry to hear that. I work for BCBS and I always tell my members. ALWAYS ALWAYS make sure all of your providers are in network and always verify benefits each year they can change. If your insurance is through your job, your employer chose to no longer cover bariatric surgery. I would take the matter to your employer they are the ones who were supposed to advise you of insurance changes they made in a yearly benefit booklet. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

    Hello there. Im sorry to hear that your bariatric surgery is an exclision on your policy. I work for BCBS and I know all insurances are different. But in my professional opinion I think appealing it would be a waste of your time. Your employer has chose not to cover that procedure therefore no matter how bad you need it it wont be approved.
