That is so sad. I'm so sorry to hear that. I work for BCBS and I always tell my members. ALWAYS ALWAYS make sure all of your providers are in network and always verify benefits each year they can change. If your insurance is through your job, your employer chose to no longer cover bariatric surgery. I would take the matter to your employer they are the ones who were supposed to advise you of insurance changes they made in a yearly benefit booklet.
