My option class ended 6/2. Currently I am still Vitamin D deficient. I was prescribed a strong dose and currently waiting 6 weeks to re-submit blood work. I'm pretty sure I will get my surgery date then. I am really struggling not to gain weight. I can already here folks say easy pesie just to this and that. Well I didn't get to weighting 384 lbs because I was a great dieter. Ugh!

I'm also waiting for my date too. We'll get there -
I've read that we have to go on a clear liquid diet, can you give me some of your favorite drink/meals. I want to replace some of my meals with Protein shakes and or Clear liquids before having to begin my 2 week pre-op diet. (I'm hoping to avoid a culture shock) Thanks for the help.

Have you been told this by your Team? What are the specifics of your plan? Actually yes, only, I completed the 12 week classes in May. Currently I'm waiting to meet with my surgeon and hopefully set a date. -

Cluelesswinner replied to missblonde20's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for your post. I don't have a surgery date yet, but nevertheless I've still been anxious about the 2 week pre-op diet. Your post has given me a new perspective. I focusing on loosing as much weight as possible and the 2 week pre-op would be the last final kick off. Now I can also see this period as a cleansing and detoxification for my body. I love my body and detoxification is a way of pampering me. Again THANK YOU -
Great Tips!!!!! Thank you

Good Luck!!! I decided to ease my way into a complete liquid diet. I'm starting off with replacing my dinner with a Protein shake. This may sound boring to most, but to me it's epic! I don't want to throw my body into a culture shock. I need to loose as much weight as possible. Starting this way seems best for me. -

Vitamin D and B12
Cluelesswinner replied to motherboard's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My numbers were really low too. My doctor prescribe vitamin D 50,000 IUs to be taken 3 times a week. I was to also buy over-the-counter vitamin D 2,000 IUs & calcium 500 mg. Plenty of options, the choice is yours as where to buy.
