No I had the regular gastric bypass.

I have been on coumadin since 2002 due to a condition unrelated to my gastric bypass surgery. I also had pain in my calf and my hematologist put me on Cilostazol twice a day. It is a different kind of blood thinner but for some reason it works. I no longer have any calf pain. Ask your doctor about it.

Could back hurting be a sign of fullness?
Irish Nana replied to Lovelyladybee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You don't have to eat something with to much fat or sugar to feel sick. There are times I'm eating something, and it's really good, and I might feel "just right" but I have just one more bite - and that one bite will put me over the edge. Then the back hurts and I feel horrible. It takes about 30 minutes to feel better. You just have to listen to your stomach and stop before that last bite. -
I am also 66 years old and have lost 106 lbs. but am at a stand still right now.

Absolutely!! That happened to me twice and I am very careful now. I didn't eat to much but ate ice cream, (never again) and then chocolate which I don't really care for. You also might break out in a cold sweat and get a really crappy feeling in your stomach. -

My nutritionist had me get Smooth Move tea before surgery. It works very well. In fact my girlfriend took a whole cup and couldn't leave the house for 2 days. -
I also take coumadin. I have no problems as long as I keep up on having my doctor check it. If all is well, I only go once a month.

Sandra 53 - I just wanted to wish you luck on your surgery. You will do fine. Just follow what the doctor tells you to do. Good Luck and let us know how you make out

Susan, I did a 10 day pouch test and lost 8 lbs.so I was very happy. Problem is I should of kept repeating it until ?I lost all my weight. I gained it back. I had lap band surgery on 12/11/2011' lost 44 lbs. but could not eat without vomiting. It didn't matter how much I chewed the food or what it was. So I suffered until my insurance agreed to pay for gastric bypass on 4/28/2014. Anyway, I lost 80 lbs. but I also have reverted back to old habits and want to finish this journey. I am also struggling! I had surgery 4/28/2014 and so far have lost only 80 lbs. but I realize it us my own fault. It's hard to talk to someone who hasn't had the surgery and has no idea what you are going through. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
