Did anyone experience really hot/ red cheeks but no fever a couple days after surgery?? Maybe from the pain medicine? I'm feeling okay and drinking plenty of Water. But I'm worried about my cheeks being so hot. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

We had to call the emergency line for the nurse and she said I am having an allergic reaction to the Carafate that I have to take 4 times a day. So they pulled me off of it. My face would literally get so hot that it would heat up a cold rag in a minute. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My BP was good when I left the hospital yesterday. I woke up from a nap and my face has been red and hot ever since. There are no dyes that I know of in the medication. I'm trying to keep a cool rag on my cheek to see if it helps. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I am having surgery tomorrow and I couldn't be more nervous! I'm terrified of a complication. I have been on my pre op diet for two weeks and I haven't cheated once. I have a great support system and an amazing surgeon who I trust, BUT my nerves are just everywhere! Any advice that helps you stay calm before surgery??
