Anyone interested in finding local pals?

I think your best bet is to go with a gluten free "noodle" and/or spaghetti squash.. Or make zoodles.. Part of this is learning new ways so we don't end up right back where we were.. Munky She said zoodles. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

So are they the sort of meats they refer to as "processed meat"?? I would like something different and easy to take to work with me when I am in a hurry but from what I taste of it, there seems to be way too much salt in that stuff. Do you guys eat it at all?? Just like that, no bread or anything else added.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I have had them once or twice in the four months since the surgery. Made sure the rest of the meals of the day were super healthy choices. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Don't comment with slick remarks

You don't sound like a very nice person so unless you have a gun over my head, I will not be participating in your thread or threads from this point onward. ✌️ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I had tried everything.. Camomile tea, melatonin 10 mgs, zoplicon.. you name it. I would be sleepy enough to be miserable but not enough to fall asleep. I would then increase the dose, not sleep all night and end up going to work like a zombie. After the surgery, I can sleep for 12 hours and still be hugging my pillow when it's time to get up. I don't take any sleeping aides and I have not added anything to my routine apart from the weight loss process. After having to go through years of no sleep of 3-4 hours maximum, I now wonder how anyone can be grumpy through out the day with 8+ hours of sleep every night. Does it make me a horrible wife
Lema replied to QueenOfTheTamazons's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah I think the independence streak is too strong with some of us. I would tell mine to back off the second time he did it but I am known to be cruel like that so everyone around me is aware of it.. but he is trying to be kind to you. Try to enjoy it but if it's not happening, tell him you feel sad when he does everything for you and that you want to get back on your feet by doing most of your work on your own. Have you had cheese prior to this incident?? Maybe you should have tried eggs and cheese separately before cooking them together for the first time. It's too much of a shock at once. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Thanks for the input, everyone. I think I am going to visit the meatshop across the street from where I live to see if they have anything that is not processed, as suggested. I bet I would get more options and fresh meat that way. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Day 4. I stopped taking all the meds they sent me home with on day 6. That was a personal choice so I am not encouraging anyone else to do that. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE THIS?
Lema replied to Womanvsmirror's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
With the hair thinning, the fat disappearing from our cheeks and the exhausted expressions looking back at us in the mirror, the self takes a while to get used to the new body.. the glow will come back once your body has adjusted to the new you. Right now it's staring at a stranger and that is alarming at first. It's not that you don't look good, it's just that you look different. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Rapid weight loss 1 week out. Nervous
Lema replied to mandapanda112200's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not really, getting enough Water and Protein is crucial. As she said, she woke up dizzy and weak. No one can live for very long on zero calories, and not getting enough water will land her back in the hospital. Dehydration is dangerous. When someone has just had major surgery they need to heal completely before worrying about dieting. Complications after surgery are not fun and can take a long time to get over. Good point. I always forget about dehydration! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Peeing less after surgery
Lema replied to lisaheffernan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I held most of my weight in my belly so I think that was pressing down on my bladder which is why a quarter cup of liquids would send me running for the washroom within half an hour. Now that the fat is gone, I don't have to run that often. I assume that is what's going on with me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
