  1. I had an twice this week because I was having my period and the sweet tooth was out of control. I have lost 3 pounds in the last three days. Just don't make it a daily thing and reduce the serving amount of you must must have it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Pcos

Sleeve. I didn't like the entire idea of taking this and attaching it there. I figured if they mess up the sleeve, at least I would have an idea of what went wrong. With bypass, it could be anything. Sleeve to me appeared less complicated. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Everyone at work thinks o am losing weight with the help of a dietitian and a trainer. I lost 40 pounds in six months but for the last two months, everyone has been constantly telling me not to lose more. It is so tiring to explain to them that I need to lose more and then gain some back as I readjust my diet but they don't understand so I just nod and say okay. I will try not to lose more. 4. I have never had acne while growing up. Now at 29, I am getting pimples all over my face and I don't know how to handle them. My hair was very oily to begin with but now it's even more greasy. I figured it was because before I cut it, it was longer so the oil distributed and was less noticeable than now that it's short.. I guess not.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Post op hair loss

Has anyone tried to get their insurance providers pay for nioxin?? They are pretty expensive and I was wondering if I should try my luck at the doctor's office today.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. One time, I resisted the urge to go up to a McDonald's location from 6 pm to 3 in the morning 4 weeks after my sleeve was done. I finally got on to the car and sobbed my way to a McDonald's drive tru.. got the burger and came back home. I took one bite in to that nasty thing and I was grossed out beyond the measure. I have not craved for fast food ever since. But yeah , the sleeve surely does make you think twice about what and how much you are putting in your stomach. So many times I am tempted to eat this or that and I always end up asking myself. Am I eating this because I am hungry and need it or am I doing this out of boredom.. then I stop right there.. it's amazing. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I used to take my metformin at night to avoid the side effects and by the morning, I would be having nightmares or waking up, shaking from hypoglycaemia. I switched it to mid day and started having one of my Protein shakes before bedtime. My blood sugar doesn't drop too much these days during the day either. Constipation

How long do the effects of milk of magnesia last?? As in, how often do you all take it?? Also, is it true that if you take it as a laxative, it will give you heartburn?? I took some and i also happened to have horrible heart burn that night but I don't know if it was the magnesia or the tiny chocolate sundae I shared with my sister that afternoon. 12. I had it on my left hand fingertips for two days. On the third day I decided if it lasted over night, I would go to the doctor the next day. I woke up and it was not there. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Stuck at a certain wieght

A stall is when you are doing everything right and still not losing weight. If you know that you are not getting the Protein amount that you should be, that could be the cause of being stuck. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Am I going backwards?

I bought a box of kashi baked vegetable crackers. I needed something to chew on in between since that had been my habit for years and it took care of that but in the long run, you need to train yourself so you are not eating in the background along with whatever you are doing during the day. I didn't even finish that first box since I bought it. It took me a couple of weeks but now I don't need to do it except for when I am expecting my period and feel like I could eat the fridge.. Also, use those cravings to your advantage by taking care of your Protein intake. Sip on those instead so you are keeping busy and getting your protein at the same time. Biotin

Before the surgery, I had thin hair and had been taking materna for about 3 months. I noticed lots of baby hair growing which got me excited. I went through with the surgery and totally forgot about materna. I tried different kinds of chewable multi vitamins, biotin and vitamin d. I took 4000 mcgs of biotin for 6 months and 4 multivitamins every day for six months. It did not stop my hair loss or anything. My nails are stronger but nothing for my hair and I am always feeling weak when I am moving around through out the day. This is the second week since I have started materna again and I am feeling very energized. I take one at night and one in the morning. I am very very excited and wish something had clicked in my mind earlier.

  18. I saved my really fancy and expensive ones for maternity and gave away the rest. I was told to save them in case I end up being that size again and that was reason enough for me to get rid of them. If you can sew then I don't see why you should have yourself a little party and work on getting some fixed.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Cold

Woman, go to the doctor. Colds are tough post op because the immune system is so low so don't panic but if you need treatment, go to the doctor. You had surgery, you don't want to jeopardize recovery due to a silly cold. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
