Hi Sarah. Good luck I was just banded on the 19th . I'm down 40 lbs and feeling great! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App -
I ate yogurts and creamy soups! I also made scrambled eggs with cheese. . There's a recipe for a ricotta bake which I did and it was delicious. Also I made shepards pie with chop meat sweet potatoe and spinach. There's a lot of choices b Good luck

i had my lap band on the 19th of July. The most severe gas pains lasted about 4 days. . I'm almost two, weeks post op and I feel fine. Believe me it will pass. When you feel the pain. Walk it off and take deep slow breaths. That really helped me.

Have you tried acupuncture. I have to tell you it worked for me Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Today I went back to NYU for my one week post op appointment I had an X-ray done and met with the nurse practitioner . All went perfectly. .I'm down 40lbs and I can have puréed foods. I ran over to whole foods and got mashed potatoes and chicken salad. It felt so great to be able to put real food in me. Granted I could only eat very little but it was great. The pre op liquid was the hardest for me. I suggest you get the sugar free Popsicles. And also the sugar free Jello. They were life savers for me. Just keep looking ahead to the big picture .thats what kept me going .i had my surgery last week and I'm on my last day of thin liquids. It's much easier afterwards .you don't have much of an appetite. Good luck Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
