That's all you really need. They don't have you change or put shoes on. I lift my pillow in the car too. They have the lotion and stuff there. Don't let on that you have the gas x strips though. They don't want you to have them because they want you to pass the gas. But my thought is...that pain is kinda worse than I like and I'm not waiting. Lol . I knew they were taking gallbladder out. Unfortunately there were complications because it was 3x the size and my liver is twice normal size. So now with things out and moved around...it feels kinda funky. Thank you for all the thoughts and cheers. Everyone gets their own surgery story. I pray for all of you that yours is uneventful. I'm actually sooooo much better. The scale even likes me. It says I'm down 33 lbs. I still burn where they took my gall bladder out. I'm bruised where they took my stomach out but it doesn't hurt. Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers. I'm not at 100% yet...but I'm trying to get there. Still struggling with the swelling I have everywhere. I think I was on IV fluids waaaaayyyyyy too long. My legs are sure getting a workout with my walks to the bathroom. Hey all. I am still in the hospital. I have a lot of pain. Mostly it's from my stomach muscles. I was told I might not get to go home till Monday. They said everything is going well. I didn't drink enough Water. I used to drink a lot while I was eating. So when I couldn't eat....then I just didn't think much about drinking. I need to retrain my brain very quickly. My surgery is at 7:00am. I have to be at the hospital at 5:00am. Yay me. My husband is used to getting up early but I'm not. No matter...I've been kinda grumpy today...I'm sure it's because I can't have anything of substance tonight. But oofdah I'm I witchy itch. I'm going to get in my shower and use the nasty soap they gave me...then hit the pillow. Thank you all for prayers and thoughts. I'm very thankful to have you all. You all need to make sure you get your fluids in EVERYDAY!!! I'm dehydrated right now and it sucks. Drink your Water, hot tea, Gatorade, broth...whatever it is that you like...just make sure, every time you sit down, stand up, commercial, break time....you take a drink. Then I wanted to crunch something. Boy I looked all over my kitchen to see if I could find something that wouldn't be that bad. No luck. Everything here would have epic failure written all over it. Aside from those items...I really don't need anything else. I can wear the same clothes I went there in when I leave cuz I have to be there at 5am. They kept stressing for me to bring good walking shoes....what's up with that?? I know I have to walk...but who's gonna want to be bending over and tying shoes when you are in pain in the tummy.
