  1. Hey guys, I'm two weeks out tomorrow and haven't lost a single pound in the last week.. I drink two Protein shakes per day, Water, and eat yogurt or pudding and have a Popsicle usually.. I'm getting about 70 g of protein, 60oz of Fluid on average, etc.. I don't understand how people lose so much?! I've been stalled a week.. I lost 8 lbs since surgery on 6/20 but haven't lost anything in the last week. Answers? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Up 2 lbs?!

So I weighed today and am up two lbs! I'm 5 wks out I'm so aggravated. This is so hard to balance to get in all Protein etc.. Going to start exercising soon maybe that'll help. How could I gain I'm still eating around 500 cals . I'm focused on low carb high protein. Sucks!!!!!!!!! Anyone else have any gains early on? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hey guys I'm totally confused. I'm 5 wks out down 20 lbs since surgery. Idk if that is great or not. But as you move thru the stages and start to add in foods it's so hard to balance them. Like , in order to get my Protein I still have to substitute like a shake and bar etc but if you start adding in food it seems like you're always eating?! Surely I'm not suppose to have a couple shakes plus three meals a day?? And if I'm suppose to substitute a shake for a meal then when do I get to eat real "foods"? Is anyone else having this issue? How many times should I be eating? I feel like in order to get my protein in I have to drink a couple shakes, so if I add that to a couple or few more small meals of food I feel like that's a lot. Anyone else feel this way? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Thanks ladies.. I think the main issue is there's no way I could hold the food in the sample menu @@kmorri . It would take me two days to eat all that. So in order for me to get my amount I have to substitute.. Like for breakfast for example.. The most that I could hold is maybe 1 egg with a thin slice of cheese anything further would hurt and I'd be over eating.. It could be that I'm not far enough out to get all my Protein from real foods.. I am focusing on eating mainly protein at this point but I still cannot get it all in from just food. I would be constantly eating. If I make dinner, say one chicken breast and veggies.. The most I can get down would be 1/2 or 1/3 of the breast not even touching the veggies. If I get out lunch and have some ham and cheese I'm only about to eat about 1 slice. My point is there's no way to get my protein from foods. I can't consume enough of it. @@FrankiesGirl Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Apart from a couple shakes I usually have a small 6oz cup of cottage cheese and fruit, or a cup of yogurt, or I can even hold a whole egg and slice of cheese.. I'm 3 wks out from surgery. I see people a year out that only hold a few bites.. It makes me concerned about my intake.. I'm not overly full either. Suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Hey guys , I'm Mel.. I had my sleeve done on the 20th four days ago. Have been heavy all my life and after years of being on a diet I still couldn't lose the weight.. My initial weigh in I was 300# exactly. I lost down to 278 after my 2 liquid diet. My day of surgery I weighed in at 275. So I'm post op 4 days. I haven't really eaten in the last three weeks so I figured I would be down some weight and I weigh 274 lbs.. So really I haven't lost anything and I haven't eaten anything so funny how your body doesn't let go. I'm already having this weird fear of failure of loss. Anyone else feel this way? I know that's ridiculous and it's been 4 days. Don't yell at me. I guess I've read some stories on here of failure and people not losing much and then people who lost a whole lot. I already have a fear of little loss. Im determined to follow this thing to a tee. I have done pretty good getting in my Water and Protein shakes. I am very motivated to eat healthy and change my lifestyle I guess I just want to know this surgery and pain wasn't for nothing. Does anyone else feel this way????? I feel like I can hold too much..

Thanks everyone! I've heard of "slider foods" that they are foods easier to slide thru without much restriction maybe once I start eating meats and veggies I'll feel more full: thanks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Hey guys I'm 16 days PO , just wondering how much could you all consume around this time? A couple days ago I got to add banana and Peanut Butter to my diet, out of a whole small banana and a tbsp of pb I found I could only consume a few bites of banana and almost the whole tbsp of PB.. As far as like a cup of pudding I can eat like the whole thing? Is that normal? I see people post things that's a year out and still can't hold very much.. I'm just curious?! 15. We watched the Shallows Last night in theaters! Yes, my husband and all my kids scarfed down popcorn and chocolate and candy while I sipped my Water.. The food smelled so good, but i handled it well and I'm looking forward to a better me.. That seems more important to me than a few seconds of mouth pleasing. We can do this, all of us! 16. How is it possible to be eating nothing and drinking a couple Protein shakes for so long and not lose a single pound??? LOL... Ok; so I'm 5 days PO almost a week and my daily intake consists of 2 Protein Shakes and around 50 oz of Water. That's all I can seem to take in so far. I have been walking also. I do think I'm bloated and have bad gas pain right now. But I'm just curious how can the body go so long and not budge? From the start of my two week liquid diet up till surgery I lost about 8 or 9 lbs. day of surgery I weighed 275. I weigh 274.6 today.. I now it hasn't been long I'm just freaked out that I haven't even lost a pound in almost a week of basically nothing . How long till the scale moves? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
