So far so good with my zero caffeine today. Yall are my rock. Had two cups of decaf. Maybe it tricked my brain into thinking its caffeine. Hahahaha. Whatever works. So so glad i went cold tirkey a week before mybsirg so indidnt add to the agony. Went to the hospital today for my preop tests. The room ill b in is like a darn hotel. Omg. Im actually more excited. Ok 7/26 sisters. I boo booed already on my first day of my preop diet. Booooo. Im on a less than 800 cal a day diet. 2 Protein shake meal replacements2water, low carb low sugar kind of diet and well i did great all day. Got home and ate some lean chicken and greenbeans then saw some leftover chili in a bowl. Heated that bad boy up and used it as dip for a large handful of chips!!!! NOOOOOOOOO. ive got to do better. Another question for yall. I know there is no caffeine after surg. I am sooo addicted to coffee and get horrible headaches without the caffeine. Thats the only caffeine i drink. I dont do cokes and stuff. Im thinking inshould wean myself off now so im not ultra miserable after surg. What r you all doing????? And anybsiggestions how to wean myself NOW or just go cold tirkey. Im seriously scared of what ill turn into!!! So happy for you. I have my band to sleeve revision next Tuesday. What were your issues with the band? Did they do the revision all in one surgery or did theybremove your band previously? Im hoping it all gets done in one surgery. He said he can but you never know once they get in there. NERVOUS!!!! Glad you arent in pain! That was my biggest worry, having to have 2 surgeries, but my surgeon said everything went perfect, no problems and not much scar tissue. I had weight regain with the band, I was also throwing up a lot and having a lot of pain when eating, all this with my band being empty. I'm so glad i made this choice! Ok so here is something to make u sisters laugh in the stress ofndieting and prepping for our surgery next Tuesday. Love that u started our own thread for July 26 sleeve sisters! I start my preop doet tuesday. Preop appt thurs. nervous about tests. I am having my lapband removed and revision to sleeve. Insurance deemed lapband removal was medically necessary so they are covering that but wont cover the sleeve revision. Surgeons ofc is charging me the usual amt for sleeve which is 14500. Surgery is being dine at the same time. Shouldnt some of the self pay be reduced since they cant double charge? I understand sleeve requires two night stay in hospital so i totally inderstand that. But anesthesiologist cant double charge right? And some of the same instruments, equiptment etc, surgery room, portion of facility charge shouldnt that be discounted on self pay and ins pick up some of it? My surgeons ofc acts like they have never run into this issue and cant understand why i wont just do 100% self pay for sleeve and they not charge for lapband removal and that it would be cheaper. I cant wrap my head around it. HELP. someone give me some ammunition. And something concrete to argue so i can save some of my cash. We pay so much a month in ins premiums i want ins to pay for as much as possible. My defuctible is already met and ins covers 80% so im responsible for 20%.
