Well, Lu, when you are done with your house, if you still have the urge to throw more stuff away, please make your way out West to visit my house and storage unit! I'll house you and feed you and I've got unlimited access to a national park in my back yard! You have ALL of my support and best wishes! UGH! Paperwork! You should have seen all of the stuff we had to fill out when adopting DD! Yikes! I'm still filing out paperwork! Actually, I might just be done with all of that. Today we were able to finally apply for her SS card, more paperwork. I think we're all done now! Hang in there! NINE HOURS!!!! Are you flippin' kidding me!?? I so admire your dedication b/c that is just so NOT me! Can you pack a small ice chest to take with you? UGH! Having to actually SEEEEEEE the vending machine all of the time would kill me! And why not share? Plain does all the time! We're all still here... barely! :smile2: LOL! I'm so envious, but alas, you already know that! LOL! So glad to hear everything went well with DD! I was pretty loopy after mine too! 50% is A LOT! WOW! Guess they aren't too worried about so many people getting sick! PJTP: I am so flippin' tired! Hardly slept last night and today was so busy! Didn't get out of here when we wanted so it ended up pushing the whole day back. DD missed dance class. We didn't even get home until 5:30 and I still had everything to put away, dinner to fix, potato salad to make and veggies and fruit for the weekend to wash and dry. My back is f'ing killing me! I didn't sit down until about 9:30 tonight. DD was still up. She slept all the way home and since we were trying to get stuff done, we just let her watch some cartoons and go to bed late. She'll sleep in the truck tomorrow too so I'm not worried about it. I told DH if we ever re-do that floor in the kitchen, I'm getting Cork!!!! A couple of the things we want/need to take with us are up in storage so DH gets to run up in the AM and get it while I pack. Both of us would swear that the stuff was here but, it's not! Wish we'd have checked a couple of days ago but we didn't think of it, well b/c we thought the stuff was here! I HATE having a storage unit! We are actually considering turning the guest room into a storage room so we can move stuff out of the unit. It'd save us a ton of money and it would make us go thru stuff. There are a lot of boxes that we haven't opened since we moved into the previous house 12 years ago!! I hope all of you have a fantastic and safe weekend! First, Glouc, your edit cracked me up! Second, YIKES! for DD! All of that would have sent me over the edge! Math is not my strongsuit. Well, hell, it's not even on my radar and yet I'm a glorified bookkeeper! :biggrin: In HS it took me 2 years to go thru Algebra 1! And I still barely passed! Then they (mom and counselor) made me take Geometry even tho I only needed 1 yr of math and had done that. Worked my tail off and STILL failed 1st semester. Teacher did all he could in his power to help and I still couldn't wrap my brain around it! He kindly suggested I go TA somewhere for 2nd semester and get out of his class! I happily obliged!!! Third, congrats to your DD for being so driven! Fourth, great job for YOU to go back to school! Okay, outta here! Bye!

No, I don't think the doctor is right! Salads, when done correctly, are chock-full of veggies and even veggies have small amounts of proteins! Bet ya didn't know that did ya? Little known fact. We need a little of everything from ALL of the food groups in order to maintain our systems in the healthiest way possible. And yes, even iceburg lettuce has something going for it, it's full of water! LOL! My doc HATES shakes after post-op is done. I do drink them periodically if I don't have time for something proper or if I'm a little tight in the AM. It holds me over til I can eat a couple of hours later. Considering I don't usually eat Breakfast til about 9, that's not a problem for me. My doc's theory, and he's right, is that it's a full liquid and goes right thru the band. It will hold you for a time but not the 4-5 hrs he's wanting. When I drink a shake, it only holds me for a couple of hours at the most. Where's the satisfaction in that? I don't see how it can be called responsible to be telling your patients to eliminate whole food groups! Now, when us fatties consider ice cream to be a food group, then the doc can tell you to eliminate that! :biggrin: But to say NO carbs, or NO salads, or whatever, then I have a problem with that.

She'll go 2 days then miss the next week b/c we're out of town. There is a flu epidemic at the HS, 200 students are out right now. School only has about 700! And another elementary school has a stomach flu bug going thru there too. I don't want DD to get sick right before our trip or while we're driving on the first 3 days of the trip! ~Lu, so exciting re: the new kitchen! I want a new kitchen SO bad! I know EXACTLY what I'd do too! ~Brandy, I'm so sorry. It's not like you had to try to READ anything! ~PJTP: okay with the furnace guy coming out, I asked if we could put a vent in the kitchen. It's SO flippin' hot in there, even when I'm NOT cooking! There is a register in the eating nook but not the kitchen proper. Well, DH was under the house with the guy and they found that the duct work goes past the nook register but then just stops. Strange. DH gets down there again to try to figure out where the duct goes. It goes to the kitchen and would pop up to the floor Right. Under. The. Stove!!!!!!!! WTH!!!! The house had come with a cooktop, where the current stove is and wall ovens over where we now have our fridge. The previous owners/idiots pulled the ovens and the cooktop out and cut the hell out of the counter to put in a range. Right over the register for the kitchen! AHHHHHHHHH! So the kitchen has had a register all along, it's just been blocked off and covered up! So we either move the stove, to where I have no idea, or pay extra money to have the register moved, or do nothing til we can someday (probable never) afford to do a complete remodel in which case the kitchen will be a total gut and re-arranged! Man I hate those people!!! Every. Time. we do something around here it makes me hate them more! On a good note, I can eat again! Tight in the AM but not normally hungry anyway so to have a shake for b'fast doesn't bother me. I can eat by lunchtime so I'm good to go. Got most of my work done today. Just need to set up the payroll deposit for the middle of the month and get monthly reports to the secretary for copying for the council mtg next week. DH got a load of laundry done today. Still have 2 more loads, shopping and packing to do. I'll do that tomorrow. Thursday is the trip to the city after DD's preschool open house. That evening is dance, pick up veggie box then dinner. After dinner I'll make the potato salad for the weekend and finish packing. Friday AM, we'll pack up the truck and the food and head out! I'm going to have PAGES of PJTP to go thru by Monday PM/Tuesday AM! :thumbup: I'm hoping to check in Friday AM but it's doubtful. Thursday PM will probably be my last check-in on here before we leave! I think I'm having withdrawls already! :mad: Okay, off to bed! See y'all in the AM!

Sheesh! I've posted A LOT today! Well, I guess that tells you that I didn't get the stuff I was supposed to do, done! Must do some work tomorrow! I'm running out of time! I basically have Tuesday and Wednesday b/c Thursday I have to run to the city and get DD to dance and get the potato salad made for our weekend, as well as the shopping and packing done. Friday is traveling. We're then home on Monday. DD has school Tuesday and Thursday, dance Thursday evening. I've got work, laundry and re-packing to do and then she and I are back on the road for our trip up north! We are NOT going to the games next year. I don't care how much IL's beg us to go! We like going but to a day thing. We don't need to camp for a whole flippin' weekend!!! I'm taking a book with me and my lounger and some of DD's toys in case we've had enough and just want to veg outside our tent! I'm hoping it's a better weekend than I think it will be. Doesn't help that the BIL's wife is coming b/c I'm going! UGH! Hate her! She's a pain the butt! I'm also depressed b/c I won't have my computer with me and won't be on LBT all weekend! :biggrin: :party: Makes me sad! That's probably my biggest problem with the whole weekend! LOL!

Nah, not all wrong! Our last dog, the one that had cancer, was named after our truck at the time! Well not named AFTER the truck but I like the name, changed it some and that's what she was, CheyAnne. Our current DDog was named by my mom b/c DH and I couldn't think of anything! I've never NOT been able to think of a name for our dogs/cats but she just wouldn't be named! So mom threw it out there and we both liked it so Dakota is who she became.
