~I've been ignoring what's going on here on the thread over the last day or so. I don't have enough information to comment or throw my hat in to the ring. I don't know the whole story and I don't want to know. I hate conflict, right or wrong, that's just how I am. But I do want to say that I'm sad as to what's happening. My favorite thread has gone all sideways and I feel like I've been thrown out into space with no protective gear and no way to get back home. Don't know if that makes any sense. Guess it doesn't matter anyway. For those leaving, contemplating leaving or who have left, that makes me sad too. I will miss you. :bored:

KC, that was SO cool of you! You probably made that poor girl's day! I can't believe that her MOTHER would speak to her that way. That's HORRIBLE!!!! And I love the fact that you got applause but woulda been nicer had they showed up in PERSON to back you up!!! What she said!! LOL!! Doubtful but you never know. Maybe she found a light bulb over her thick head? And agreed re: the daughter. She will NEVER forget KC!!! PJTP: Been trying to find some work that I can do from home that I'm good at (down Plain! LOL!). I've been a church secretary for the last 11 years, the last 2 years of that only doing the books from home. In my time in the office I've copy-edited more paper than you could EVER imagine. I talked to my aunt this week who's in the publishing business and she says that copy-editing is a real job! I didn't know what it was called before. Anyway, I automatically edit things in my head when I'm reading, it's pitiful, really. So I'm going to start researching how I can start doing this at home so I can earn some extra money and yet be able to stay home with DD. Hopefully it works out. Guess I'll find out! LOL! Anyway, wish me luck! Going to read. Goodnight!

Hope he feels better soon! I'm doing well, thanks for asking! :wink2: Ooooo, have fun shopping!! Yep, have you seen the video? Grandma gets nekkid! Be careful!!! I called. Update below. I'd a been asking the same thing! And maybe RE-packing!!! LOL! Dork or no, you're still funny! Yikes for you too! That would have had me a smidge worried! Oh no! I sure hope she's feeling better soon! Prayers for all of you! Well, crap! Sorry about that and you are right. A job is a job, right now. PJTP: okay. I know y'all are gonna have a fit but I'm NOT going down the hill to the doc this week. I did a phone consult with one of the covering docs (this one I like, other one, not so much.), anyway, b/c I can get stuff thru AND I have hardly any pain, he says I'm doing ok and we'll just keep in touch by phone for now. IF I close up suddenly again, get down to him immediately and he'll see me in between his surgeries tomorrow or in clinic on Wednesday. He did NOT recommend getting liquid ibuprofen b/c he's afraid if the liquid sits too long at the stoma then it will start to cause problems. I am feeling A LOT better today. Very little pain and that he attributes to the weekend stuff. I can get down chocolate milk and Odwalla smoothie things so I can now get some nutrition in me. He is going to keep in contact with me over the next few days by phone to see how I'm doing and if we need to do anything further. I made an appointment with my surgeon for the 12th while I was on the phone with the nurse today so we can go over all of this and make sure I'll be okay. So. That's it. I'm off to get more milk. BBL.
-
~Glouc, give your DH a hug for me! He's wonderful! ~Kat, OUCH!!! Feel better soon!
-
I sure hope you're feeling better tomorrow. I don't know about the ibuprofen, I've never asked and he's never said. Something to remember! I may pick some up at the store tomorrow. We have to go anyway and I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to try it. I'll ask the nurse too when I call her. What she said! We do the same. Our furnace is propane and I only have to fill the tank once a year b/c we use so much wood and so little fuel. I think Doritos are almost as bad as the Cheetos. I can't resist either but will always go for the Cheetos first! I've been wanting ice cream today too. Luckily we don't have any. Tho right now it probably wouldn't hurt since I don't have much of anything in my system. Mmmm, maybe I could get one of those down! THAT would make me feel better! LOL! ~Tap, have a safe trip! We'll miss you!! Oh and we eat applesauce all the time. With anything and everything and all by itself too! I'd love to try Lu's mom's recipe w/the onions. I've never heard of it but it sounds good! PJTP: Tried one of my protein shakes earlier and gave up after an hour and only a 1/4 of it gone. UGH! I'll call in the AM but probably won't be able to get in til Tuesday or Wednesday. They usually do surgeries on Mondays. Still calling tho! I want ice cream. Bad. Maybe tomorrow! We have to go to the grocery store so I'm thinking a small carton of something yummy should come home with us. Well, I'm off to read a book. Been trying to get thru it for awhile now and I'm almost finished with it. Takes me forever to get thru a book these days. Just don't have the time or lack of interruptions to read like I used too! 'Night all! Have a beautiful Monday!
-
Hey! I live just south of Yosemite. Literally just south of one of the entrances! LOL! Twenty minutes and I'm in the park! I love the Sierras! If I couldn't live here, I'd want to live in Tahoe. Tho I just got back from a week in the Sisters, Oregon area and thats beautiful too. Can't wait to go back. So much to see and do! And lots of trees and water!
-
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! What a wonderful NSV and in such a beautiful place! I love Tahoe.
-
Hope it goes great! Don't know why I thought this was yesterday! Good for you getting your protein in! What a good girl you are! So, Tap, you like apples, huh? LOL! Baking all your Christmas gifts this year? I love how industrious you are. Seriously! I'd be getting all these apples and then they'd rot before I got to 'em to do anything with them!! Really sad. Love the pic of Goose! She is just so adorable! Makes me want to go get one for my very own. I think our old girl would revolt tho! Although she was pretty lonely while we were gone even tho I had a friend coming over everyday, it's not the same as someone being here. She might appreciate having a friend here when we're gone. Have fun tonight! So Cool!!!! Congrats Ebony!!! Nice pics too. You look fabulous!   Oh. My. God!!!!!!!! Can you please just hurry up and divorce that woman?!!!!!! I was thinking the rock could be for Glouc to hit her mother with, not hide under!! Glouc has nothing to hide about, her mother, for lack of a better term, does need to go crawl under a rock!! AND STAY THERE!!!!!!!! Pooly, I'm sorry it's too cold to go swimming. PJTP: Beth already heard about this but I'll let y'all know that I'm calling first thing in the AM to get in this week for an unfill. I'm just too long having everything irritated and closed off. I'm still getting liquids in (barely) but the tomato bisque I tried earlier didn't want to go thru. It did but it hurt and I gave up after a few spoons. Did just try a little Peanut Butter when making DD's sandwich and that when thru okay. But everything is still sore and that's not right. I need to get this inflammation down and that means an un-fill. I do NOT want to lose my band. It would mean a revision to bypass and I really don't want that!! Tho I would do it if I had too. Sleeve is not an option for me b/c I'd have to self-pay and I don't have the money. I can't NOT be a WLS patient. I have proven to myself that I can't lose the weight w/out help and that means some sort of WLS. A couple of happy notes, I have not PBd or thrown up since Friday. I consider that a victory even tho Im not getting in what I need. At least it's staying IN there! AND I weighed this AM and the scale said 171.2! LOL! I'd love to keep that but as soon as I can eat again AND with less fill, ain't gonna happen! It was really nice to see it tho! I'll BBL!
-
Oh man this is going to be long! First off tho, thank you so much, all of you, for your concern. I'm doing MUCH better. Still haven't eaten since dinner Wed night BUT I am getting water in. This AM, well Sat AM, since it's after midnight now, I was able to drink chocolate milk. Later in the day on the trip home, I bought a frapp lite and nursed that all afternoon/evening. DD and I got home about 5:30, a day early as we pushed thru Friday with a 10.5 hr trip from Oregon to Sacramento. DD caught my 24hr bug but was done with it in 12! Woke up Sat AM like she'd never been sick Whew! I'm still REALLY tight but since I was able to get liquids in Sat, I'm going to try soup later today. I will be calling my nurse first thing Mon AM if I'm still really tight and having a hard time eating the soup. I PROMISE!!! It was so hard being, not only out of town but out of STATE! And my surgeon is out of the country right now so if I do go in this week, I'll be seeing his fill-in. I'm going to be double-checking everything that happened with my surgeon once he gets back. I don't want to let it go. I want to make sure that I'll be okay. Okay, now for my multi-post from hell! :blushing: ~Pooly, sheep smashing = LOL!! ~Kat, deer, I totally understand! That's why my garden is in a dog kennel this year! We've not been using the fencing and I needed something quick so we set it up. It's 10x12x4ft, cyclone fencing. Ugly but serving a good purpose! LOL! So glad to hear news of Paula! I'm glad she called you. Woodcutting, we SO have to get on that but it's been so bloody hot here that the cutting areas are still closed! Cutting season ends Nov 30th, we're running out of time! ~Tap, nice notice on the conference! Have a safe trip. We'll miss you!!! Glad the eyes are getting better! Nice job on the pants!!! WTG!!! ~Slim, sorry about the eatery but nice NSV! I've doing a lot of the "last year would've" stuff. Nice change isn't it? ~Glouc, so excited for you on the job front! It's nice to finally have some good job news around here!!! The soup you taste tested sounds wonderful! ~Kristen, did you have fun at the party? DD is getting an adult sized reality check! Just wait til she's on her own! Sounds like the shopping was fun! ~Ebony, how did your event go today? Glad you and DH are working things out. ~Lu, nice job on the mountain biking! WTG! ~Beth, sorry for the lost study day! Thanks again for the PM. ~KC, so was the mojito dinner or was that just the side dish? WTG on the 18 mile walk!! Okay, so I decided to just obliterate everyone's posts and do shout-outs instead! Now I'm off to bed! 'Night everyone!!
-
tutornmom, be careful with that. It could mean that you're too tight. Don't let it go to long. As for me, I've been out of town the last couple of Fridays (just got home tonight) and haven't weighed in yet. I'll post next Friday. We'll see what happens as I've had a fever & chills flu bug that closed me up tight. I haven't eaten since Wed night's dinner (woke up w/it thurs). :blushing: scale will probably look really good in the AM once I jump on but by Friday, since I'm feeling better, probably won't look so good! LOL! We'll see! Have a fantastic week y'all!
-
Thanks. I hope so too. And please, spray as much as you want. I don't want to infect anyone!! Me too! Not so worried about H1N1 except that my DD is 3 and that's one of the age groups (under 5) that "they" are worried about. LOL!!! Good job, Suzy! I  multi-quote! 'Night! PJTP: I can't keep anything down for long as of yet. In the last 5 hours or so it's only been 3 times but I'm barely sipping any water too. Just taking it easy. The fam is all over at the other house so I'm here by myself. Slept for over an hour this evening. That was nice. Kind of sucks to miss our last night together but I don't want to share my cooties either! Little nervous about what's going on. I hurt. Band, stomach, port, all hurt. Trying not to scare myself. I'm also running fevers off and on with the chills. At this point, as bad as it sounds, I'm hoping for a flu bug vs the alternative which is band problems. I'm shutting down soon and probably won't be back on til late weekend. Hope y'all have a great weekend! 'Night!

Hey Suzy! WTG on becoming a foster mom! That's so cool! And I admire those who can do that. I don't have the... I don't even know how to word it. I guess I wouldn't want to let any of the kids go once I've got them! It would break my heart! We adopted DD when she was an infant so I understand the paperwork and hoops you have to jump through. We had to do the whole nine-yards b/c in CA you are considered only the foster parents til the agency/State release control after 6 months. Even tho it wasn't a fost/adopt that's how they play it here. Like it's a 6 month trial period in case we change our minds (like bloody hell!) or the agency "finds" something or whatever. In our case the 6 months was also used to terminate the unknown birthfather's rights in court. PJTP: I feel like crap. Literally. I got stuck on my shake this AM. Switched to hot tea and it's been going down but taking a lot of time. Strange b/c I was able to eat/drink just fine last night. No problems other than what happened at lunch yesterday. I'm freezing too. TMI ALERT: I just got thru retching everything that did manage to get thru my band. I've been gurgling and some stuff has gone thru but it all just came up and I couldn't stop for a minute, even after there was nothing left. I slept til 10 this AM and yesterday and today both, had awakened with a sore throat, still sore. I'm thinking I'm coming down with something and that's why I'm having problems. Scared now to even try the tea. I don't want to start retching again. Shaky and light-headed too. I decided to do a couple of loads of laundry so I don't have to do it ALL when I get home. Started packing too as this is our last day. (We head home tomorrow. DD and I should be back at our house by Sunday.) But I have to be careful when I stand up too fast. Have to sit down before I fall down kind of thing. Was feeling okay, not great, so I went ahead and started the laundry but now I'm feeling worse. Otherwise I wouldn't have started it yet. I'm waiting for the last load to dry and once it's put away, I'm going back to bed. It's gotta be warmer in there. I hope! Mom took DD and a bunch of them went off to some viewpoint somewhere to see some of the big peaks. When they get back Mom and Step-Dad are going to hook the bike trailer up and take DD on a ride. She'll enjoy that and I can sleep more. Okay. I'm going to go check the dryer and hope it's done so I can go back to bed. See ya!
-
None. Sorry! I just know that when that happens, I'm REALLY hungry and I MUST go slow or I will get stuck. It's almost like I've waited too long to eat. Doesn't happen when I'm just getting hungry but when I'm really hungry. It's just strange.
-
Congratulations! Yep, same thing happens to me w/my port. It's the strangest thing.
-
Agreed! Huh?! :w00t: Oh geez, Lu! Hope it doesn't get too bad, whatever it is. Feel better soon! Apparently! Oh Slim, I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this too! Congrats to DS! Great news! Best wishes on your event! WTG on the pants! So cool! I AM tired! I was supposed to be getting a break and able to rest this week... NOT!!! So sorry about the ear. Feel better soon! No way would I ever think that your smoke alarm was the dinner timer! I KNOW people like that and it's frightening! LOL! KARMA! Metolious ? River. We parked at Camp Sherman store and hiked from there to the fish hatchery. We were on the trail to the right side of the river. I am! Tho I'm ready to go home too (we leave Friday). In some ways the trip seems to have gone fast but then seems like I've been away from home forever too. Crazy!!! I do want to come back up here tho. Congrats on the loss! WTG! Sorry I didn't call you today, and I was in town but it got late and complicated and I couldn't fix it! Darn it! Good point and I have to agree. Oh no! I'm so sorry! Hang in there! PJTP: I AM SOOOOOOO TIRED!!!!!!! I am refusing to do ANYTHING tomorrow!! I want to take a walk and paint my toenails and that's it! I may do a load of laundry just so I don't have such a huge amount to do once I get home but that's ALL I want to do!!!! Today we went to a museum and spent the whole day. It was really cool! (Kristen, it was the High Desert Museum, south of town.) Lots of walking. During lunch swallowed a bite too soon and guess what? Yep! Spent the next 30 minutes (have NO clue but seemed like forever) in a bathroom stall waiting for it to DO something. Geez it hurt! Finally got rid of it and was fine. UGH! And of course the ENTIRE family knows all about it! Good thing I told 'em all about surgery at the beginning of the week! Woke up this AM with a sore throat. We'll see if anything comes of it. 'Night!
-
Hey Y'all!!! Glad to finally have time to get the laptop up and running! Having a grand time but have been having PJTP withdrawls! Got to meet Kristen and that was way cool. It was great, even with the rain. The thunder wasn't too bad but the flash of lightening was a little nerve-wracking! All good tho. Monday we went on a five mile hike. The horrors!!! Seriously, it was probably the single worst hike I've been on in a long time. I'd have sworn it was 10 or 15 miles, not 5. At one point we are bush-wacking and having lift the stroller over rocks and thru stuff that wasn't wide enough for a Nat to get thru! My poor little DD had to walk about 2 miles because of this trail!!! I felt so bad for her! Mom and I were way past needing food. Mom's way worse off b/c she eats so little she needs to literally eat every 2 hours. Anyway, I won't bore you with the drama but it was awful! I was SO proud of DD. She did a FANTASTIC job. she kept going even when she didn't want too and toughed it out. Towards the end I was trying to encourage her b/c none of us wanted to keep going but there was no alternative. We were on a river trail and the only way out was the way we'd come or to keep going. We had to keep going. So I'm telling her how proud of her I am and she'd say, "no want proud, mama." Or just gotta keep walking, "no wanna keep walking." Oh, another one was that she just had to push thru the brush, "no wanna push, mama." Oh and what made us just laugh our heads off was when I told her at one point that we just needed to keep going, we had too so she'd just have to suck it up and keep going, "no wanna suck it up, mama!" The "suck it up" thing is something I've been saying to her as kind of a life lesson thing. It's done in a gentle way and with guidance but what I'm trying to teach her is that she can't have everything go the way she wants it too and there are just going to be times in life when something isn't going right. She's just going to have to "suck it up" and figure out a way to make it better for herself or to make it as okay as possible in a bad or not right situation. Yesterday, she just didn't want to! I felt so bad about the whole thing for her! It was awful, just awful! On a good note, I am upright and functioning well today. Not too sore, tho the calves are mooing some. Not too loudly tho. Today, we took it easy and did a little "shopping" trip in Sisters and then we came back to the house and I made a big pot of chili for everyone. ~Lu, I agree, just pick a date. It's your place and the one who's going to have to put up with everyone. Loved the new pic of the baby! ~Kat, great news w/DH! ~Beth, I'm sorry you're married to a child. I really think you did a great thing by moving the money. Good job!! ~Ebony, thinking of you! ~Tap, I'm so sorry that you aren't doing any better and are now, in fact worse. I think you need to revisit the doc. SOON! Apple stuff sounds YUMMY! Oh, and the ex-wife thing is strange. You already knew that tho! ~SNT, happy belated b-day. ~Plain, the old guy story was pretty funny! ~RIP Patrick! ~Hi to EVERYONE!! I know I'm missing people and I'm sorry! Sheesh! It's midnight! I gotta get to bed! 'Night y'all!!
-
HI! We're in Sacramento at my mom's. Had a good trip up. ~Ebony, I like the idea of filing a grievance. It's much deserved. ~Beth, I just don't know what to say or how to help w/DH. Do you own a sledgehammer, per chance? :w00t: ~Tap, so sorry about the eye. I've had pink eye. It's not fun on it's own. Can't imagine that combined with a sty. Hope you feel better soon. And trust me, be glad it's not BOTH eyes!!! I'm also really sorry about the fish! The wooden spoon/fork on the other hand? I'd probably take! I remember those from my childhood too! ~Pooly, glad you passed. Nice fake-out w/the pysch! ~Slim, awwwwwww! And so it begins! How bittersweet! He's still your baby but growing up! ~Lu, it's not wrong to love the fish! Where would you put them? Curious minds want to know. ~G4E, so glad you found a chance to post! Miss you! ~PJTP: woke up this AM with a sick kid! Figures! She's seems to have a mild cold so we're forging ahead with the trip. Here's hoping it doesn't get worse! Okay, need to re-join the family! Have a great night y'all!
-
~Tap, how's your eye doing? Is it getting better or worse? Prayers for MUCH better and you don't have to have it looked at. Take care!
-
~Ebony, I'm speechless! Where do these people get off? Absolute crap. They are now TRYING to dig stuff up to put in your file! :w00t: ~Beth, I'm sorry about DH. I hope he can get his butt in gear and soon. And as far as a job being handed to him, sounds like a few have been close to that and he's let the door shut. Unbelievable! I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to deal with this mess again. ~Suzy, hope you stop itching soon! ~Hi to everyone! ~PJTP: my step-sister just had her baby girl! I have NO details yet other than everyone was doing fine. I've started packing a little. Need to get my tail moving. All the work stuff is done except to drop stuff off at the office on the way out of town. Hope everyone has a great evening. BBL!
-
~Ebony, I'm sorry that the job stuff is dragging on. I'm sure you just want it over already! I know I would. Lots of prayers and hugs. ~KC, that stinks re: the cc. Sure hope it all gets worked out soon. It's going to take time, just know that. Best wishes on the 24 tonight! You should sleep good in the AM! Get home safely after your shift is over. ~Pooly, my excuse is I forget to defrost the stuff I bought at the store! I'm getting better tho. Sometimes that's unfortunate! Oh my other thing to do is skim a new recipe, get all excited about it, get the ingredients and go to start cooking dinner only to find I needed to prep something the night before or several hours earlier or it takes several hours for the process and I'm starting it an hour before dinner! Yikes! Gotta READ the recipe beforehand, not just skim it for the ingredients. :blushing: ~RE: Spouses/parents - work traveling. DH is gone half the week. Nice to have him home when he's on vaca but then he goes back! His plans are to retire in 10-12 yrs. Think I'll be going back to work for more hours about that time! LOL! ~Lu, hadn't heard about the hijacking. SOOOOOOO glad DH wasn't involved! How scary! Kinda like when DH is out on a fire and I hear of a serious injury, or God-forbid, a death! Yikes! Pins and needles til I find out if he's okay. So I know where you're at with that one. Not a nice place to be! ~Slim, don't you need to do mushies after an adjustment with the braces? I don't think that'd interfere at all and be okay for you. Are you worried more about between adjustments? I'm not sure exactly what you're worried about. I'm sorry you're struggling. ~Tap, have you thought about calling her and asking her what her thoughts were when sending those things? Maybe she just THINKS they're sentimental to you and wouldn't have a problem with you finding good, NEW homes for them. Just a thought. ~Kristen, so excited about seeing you this weekend but it may have a kink in it. Step-sister is preggers and was due a few days ago (4th, I think). Anyway, step-dad wants to be there, well my mom does too but doesn't want to post-pone leaving for the trip so we may be driving up Sun/Mon instead of Sat/Sun. We'll see what happens. I know one day my aunt talked about going in to Bend for the day during the week to explore so maybe we could hook up after school? I'll let you know better what's going on when I know. Mom just called tonight so we'll see what happens. PJTP: nothing to say! For once!! LOL! Going to bed! 'Night!
-
~Thanks, Slim, it was a fun weekend. I live in the mtns and it's hard for me to sleep in the city, it's too noisy! The noise I was talking about re: this weekend had to do with bagpipes being played in the next camp over behind us til about midnight and then about 2AM someone else started up a couple of rows over. Also in the the camp next to us, there were young guys that were very exuberant! They really were good kids tho, just loud. In fact the last night we were there, DH stood up for them with security. Some ADULTS blamed the kids for the fireworks THEY were shooting off! Nice huh?! ~Suzy, lot of good wishes that the interviews produce some great results for you! Totally missed opportunity w/the laundry and the 'rents! Shame on you! LOL! ~Lu, thanks for the zuch recipe! I love recipes! So not going with the fried butter tho! Some of the other fried stuff I'd love to try! Haven't tried jalepeño poppers yet. Want too but am afraid they'll be too hot. Guess I should just order a glass of milk with them just in case and go for it! ~Hang in there, Beth. The weight WILL come back off. Just try to be patient and drink your water! DH's BBQ'd peppers sound GREAT! I'd be all over those! ~Tap, after reading all of that fried stuff article, I want a salad too! UGH! ~Ebony, I'm just so sorry for all the crap you're having to deal with at work and now at home too. I agree with Sick in the hopes that the next thing to come along is THE perfect fit for you and just makes you happy and thrilled to go to work each day! I just love your attitude! And the pepper story was funny! ~RE: unions. DH can opt out of his but still has to pay a "fair-share" fee. It's only about $5 less than member fees so he opts in. ~Tap, I'm afraid that Plain might be rubbing ALL of us. It's that weird, creepy feeling you get once in awhile and you don't know where it came from. Oh. Or is that just me... ~Plain, nice multi-post! Proud of ya, son! LOL! And the 80's shorts thing, say it isn't so! UGH! I agree with what you said about the "No Child Left Behind" thing. It's one of the things I'm worried about when DD gets to elementary school. DH and I, if we can afford it, are considering private school or maybe even homeschooling. We have some co-ops here that will help with supplies, tutoring and even hold classes during the school year for those subjects the parents feel they aren't equipped to handle well. They have to meet certain standards to make sure they're where they should be and the curriculum and speed of things is more based on the child's needs, not a schools need for money and how many students they can cram into 1 class room. We only have a couple of years to figure it out tho before she starts kindergarten. ~Kat, but a 2nd PJTP thread would be so, so... NOT PJTP! LOL! ~Brandy, what flavor of cake do you want? I'll be in Oregon come Saturday, I can drive right over a day or 2 after that! I could bring Kristen and we can bust ya out! And no, I'm not sure I consciously knew it wasn't ok to ship wine for the common folk. ~KC, that's funny about the UPS guy! I'd would've been doing the same thing you did til I finally "got it!" LOL! Glad you had a nice trip. I don't remember if you said where you were going and why. ~Beth, bad, bad idea with the Crown! LOL! ~PJTP: Got the estimate back from the furnace guy and it's not going to be as bad as we thought for the basic new furnace and install but it's still a lot. He quoted $1,750. That's just a basic 80% efficiency heater which is way better than what we have now. Our current system is probably running about 60% if we're lucky and it's 30 yrs old. If we were to go with a higher efficiency heater that'll cost a lot more. He's going to run the numbers on it and send it all to us this week. Now, when you add the AC on it - that increases it another $2,500!!! They'll have to run new lines for it b/c the old lines probably won't hold for the new system. So the AC, which is working fine for now, will for sure have to wait. Furnace first. BUT we thought the furnace alone would cost us 3-5 grand, so the quote is a lot better but still hard to take. We just don't have it right now. We'll probably have to put it on the CC. DD had her first day of regular preschool and loved it. Didn't want to go home! Had to pry her away to get her out the door. That's a good thing tho. Would much rather she be anxious for us to leave and not wanting us to pick her up than the alternative of begging, crying, screaming and clinging when dropping her off. THAT would be horrible! When I was a p.school teacher, we had THOSE kids and it was just awful, for everyone! Oh, asked DD this AM what she wanted for dinner tonight and she said Taco Salad. We thought it was a great idea and that's what we had! I'm going to start asking her for dinner ideas every week and see what she comes up with. Should be fun. Oh, again, weighed this AM and was the same as when I left Friday! What are the odds on that one?! Don't care, I'll take it! Thought I'd be a little higher! Ok, it's early, not quite 10 here, and I'm going to bed. I'm SO tired! See ya all later! Have a great night!

Hi Tina! Sounds like you had a great weekend and birthday! And it also sounds like you have a great guy too. So glad he took care of the crazy ex right away. That's going to be a touchy thing for you for a good long time. Take care and have fun with you life!

Okay, well we're home and TWELVE PAGES LATER!, I think I'm all caught up but I kept forgetting to hit the multi button so I'm gonna miss stuff! ~Suzy, hope you've continued doing well after your surgery. ~Lu, Costco thing, weird, still would've complained. House, looks great. Zuch Fries recipe, Please! Happy b-day to DH! ~Kristen, glad DD is healing, hope she feels better soon. Got home to find out my friend's DD who had the flu last week? Had H1N1! Nearly 200 kids out + teachers and not hardly any of them tested! So our tiny town got nailed at least at the HS level. So are ya telling me I need to leave the swimsuits at home and bring the long pants and coats??? Better go check the weather! ~Hi CC!!! Glad you checked in! ~Fanny, congrats on the loss!! WhooHoo! ~Hi TPG!! And don't you DARE leave! I know you're joking b/c of the psych eval, but still, NO LEAVING! ~Schools - terrified of DD not getting what she needs, whatever that may be (more help, more challenge, etc.). Not happy with the "system" these days! (Oh and don't I mean on the teacher level, for the most part.) ~Tap, NO rain? WhooHoo!!!! Congratulations!! ~Sick, loved the e-mail. ~Slim, still praying that MIL decides to move... and SOON!!!! ~Beth, I agree with the salt AND muscle recovery theories. Soy sauce is basically just salt with enough dark colored water just to make it liquid! Hang in there with the school stuff. I know you can do this! And if you want to go in to forensics, then go for it! ~Ebony, nice job in the sitting room area! You have a REALLY old house! Cool! Well, at least til you have to work on it! LOL! ~Kat, sorry about the job thing w/DS. I wish I had family around like that. Well, maybe not on the SAME property! But nearby. Closest is an hour away and we hardly see them. I would love some help like that with DD. I think she's missing a lot by not having grandparents in the same town. Hell, she hasn't even met my dad yet! PJTP: okay, got the bedroom/patio door fixed and by the time we got out of here it was 2:30PM!!!! Nice drive over and back. DD drove me about batty with the having to pee every flipping 30-40 minutes! UGH! Need to take the DVD player next time to occupy her so she doesn't think about it so much! Weekend all together was nice. Could have been better but definitely could have been worse! Weather was great. Not too hot and really not too cold at night. Was cozy in my sleeping bag. I told DH tho, that before I plant my butt in that tent again, we are getting something for me to sleep on! I took my big ol' yoga mat. It's huge, about 2 inches thick so it folds in to 4 sections. Too hard! Okay for sitting on, doing yoga, which I was for a short time, etc, but NOT for sleeping on! My whole body hurts! It was noisy out there too so I didn't get much sleep, I'm exhausted! Games were good. Walked A LOT! Ate a bunch of crap but DH thinks it actually wasn't as bad as I think it was. He's pretty blunt about that kind of stuff when I ask so I think I'll try to believe him. Had no food "issues" so that was a HUGE blessing! Was a little worried about it. Looks like we might try to go again next year. FIL isn't doing too good (Parkinson's) and we don't know how many more years they're going to be able to do this trip and MIL said he was in near tears with the thought of all of us together for a whole weekend. Think we'll probably go when we can and if DH can get the vacation time. DD had a BLAST this weekend! Was super upset when we left. So, now that I'm sort of caught up here, I am going to bed! DD has her first day of preschool tomorrow. TTFN!!

Hey y'all! Just checking in real quick! WI this AM, well my official, I WI every AM and I lost 1.8lbs! I cut way back on the snacking. Hmmm, go figure! DH is fooling with the bedroom door that goes out to the deck. We discovered, this AM, of course, that it's not locking and you can just pull on the handle and it opens right up! SO instead of just putting a piece of furniture in front of it, I've got plenty to choose from, he's got the whole damn thing tore apart and is making himself mad! Nice! If someone is going to break into this house it isn't even going to be off the 2nd story deck. They're going to break a flippin' window in the dining room at the back of the house on ground level. They are not going to bother walking up the flight of stairs AT THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE to get to the deck. Puuullllleeeeeezzzzzeeeee! Today is going to be lots of fun! Oh joy!! :sneaky: Okay, I'm outta here. I still gotta pack and get DD and I showered! It'll be noon before we get out of here, if we're lucky! Have a wonderful weekend!! I'll miss you!! OMGosh he's got the power tools out! Lord help me!!!
