Do you have a Gordmans? They have a lot of nice plus sized options. Lane Bryant also offers (or at least did) pants for certain hip widths.

Got a 2cc fill yesterday! Finally feeling restriction again but not yet at my sweet spot! It's a start though!

Oh You're Never Gonna Believe This Nsv....
ErinMarie replied to gowalking's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I didn't have any noticeable hair loss until close to 1.5 years after my surgery. It's really different for everyone! If you keep up your protien and your Vitamins you should have better chances of not losing a ton. -
Cliff bars are good too and natural! You can also make your own! I dont have any recipes but I'm sure Google does!

I second Parisshel! I went to a support group but everyone there was RNY so they had no idea what I was going through/dealing with and my husband was NO HELP at all. I come here for the encouragement and to see other people's day-to-day to help me stay focused. How many CC's do you have? Do you feel any restriction? If you aren't in the green zone, try not to think of yourself as failing. If you aren't at your sweet spot then really any loss is on YOU and that's good! Until you get to that sweet spot you are depending your own will power more than anything and that's really hard! We got the surgery for a reason, right? So don't beat yourself up and be proud of what you have accomplished so far! I would LOVE to be 216 lbs again! Find a group of people on here that are ACTIVE and stalk them! Go where they post, see what they reply too and heed their advice! There are a lot of very knowledgeable people on these boards that love helping people! (Me included! Feel free to add me as a friend!)

I second what everyone else said...smaller bites, more chewing, add a sauce to help with dryness! Also, try maybe giving a bit more time in between bites to allow it to pass through before you add more on top. I have this problem a lot (fast eater) and pay the price!

Have you done any weight loss programs that you paid for/have proof of particpating in in the last year? Sometimes they will accept that as your 6 months of a weight-loss program. You may also look back in your records from previous doctor visits and see if weight loss was discussed. Good luck!

What great news! Congrats! If I were you, I would start gathering any information your insurance may want for pre-approval now! The more you have prepared already, the faster you get approved!

Congrats! This wait is probably the slowest part! (Well, besides bandster hell, lol)

Feeling So Discouraged! No Restirction, Band Almost Full!
ErinMarie replied to honeydew008's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Almost full does not equal full! The green zone can be a difference of a FRACTION of a CC! Just because you are almost full does not mean you are FULL! Keep your chin up and don't give up yet! -
Try not to rush the fill process gary! A big part of the green zone is learning what restriction feels like so you don't overeat. You may feel like you eat eat too much but the stuck episode is telling you to slow down and take smaller bites! Training your body to eat a certain way is what you should be focusing on since the scale is still going in the right direction. Good luck!

Pre-Op Need To Know's
ErinMarie replied to Coach0407's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The best thing I can say is to beware of bandster hell and try not to get discouraged in the beginning! Everything else is healing and learning to be around people who can eat like you used to. This process is more mental than anything! -
It's like walking into the men's bathroom isn't it? Lol

Is Pizza Band Friendly.
ErinMarie replied to Angi281's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I could not tolerate pizza when I was in the green. I COULD technically, but I never ate it slow enough or in small enough bites! -
That sucks you had to have a drain put back in! I can only imagine how annoying those are! I'm glad your incision is healing nicely though! Congrats!
-
Congrats on your big boy! Glad things are going well
-
Glad your first fill was a breeze! It can be somewhat overwhelming for some seeing a big needle being stuck into their abdomen!

I am unable to send PMs via my Galaxy S3 mini. Says some type of server error. Just a heads up! The quote-in-a-quote doesn't look right on my phone either. I get one quote and the rest looks like the current poster wrote it all.

FWIW Alex, I think you're doing a badass job of fixing issues and trying to make your loyal members happy! I hope everyone appreciates how hands on you are with your boards. We would never be speaking directly to a board's founder on a true corporate website. (Or have personal board problems fixed so quickly!) I hope everyone is patient with the transition! Change is hard for a lot of people but I think the fixes you have coming sound awesome and will be a huge help to the people that want surgery-specific content. Thank you for your hard work and dedication Alex! /peptalk

Weight Gain At 25 Weeks Pg
ErinMarie replied to Suzyfit's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Im 6.5 months postpartum and my baby stopped breastfeeding about a month ago (refused the boob). I decided to wait to get a fill until I stopped breastfeeding because my supply was already low. -
Hey Ladies! Well, it's finally my time. Xander has stopped breastfeeding and is 6 months old now. I got into a funk and stopped counting calories...then I did a really stupid thing and weighed myself last night (after sitting at work all day)...252!!!! OH HELLS NO (was at 197 when I found out I was pregnant). I called my band doctor today and was able to get an appointment for a fill in 2 weeks! I'm really excited because I'm sooooo ready to get back in control and having restriction. I'm scared because I remember how hard it was to change my eating habits in the beginning, but I'm hoping my previous experience will help me stay vigilant. I got 4 cc's taken out when I was pregnant and I usually don't tolerate more than 1 cc at a time well... I'm hoping I can get at least 1 cc this time (maybe 2) so I don't have to go back as often (new insurance doesn't cover anything lap-band related). I'm going to try to get back on here and read, read, read to stay motivated and refresh my band rules! It's hard for me to read a lot here because it seems like everything I read I've ready before already and I can't reply to anything because someone else always answers things I can help with before I get to them (and sometimes better than I could answer anyway)! Wish me luck mamas! I'm gonna need it!

Slightly Inappropriate/funny Nsv
ErinMarie replied to gowalking's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
What she said!! Are you single doc?? Lol Talk about a nice ego boost! -
I was at 8 cc before I was in the green. We'll see if I need that much again!
