As many have already said, my advice would be to talk to your surgeon. S/he can tell you if it's a good idea to proceed or to delay the surgery a little. Be 100% honest. Remember, it is for your safety! Sent from my SM-G930R4 using the BariatricPal App

I think it was after 3 days. Nothing too strenuous and we were careful not to hurt my incisions. It was suggested to go for it when I felt ready or wait at least 2 weeks to be on the safe side. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using the BariatricPal App

Hernias after WLS
missengineer replied to missengineer's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I will definitely be asking about this to my surgeon. I'm not too concerned about the bruises. It's the lumps I feel underneath them that concern me. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using the BariatricPal App -
How can you tell if you have a hernia? Also, I noticed that since surgery I have a bruise between 2 incisions. It has been gettimg darker and if I put any pressure on it, I can feel a hard bump over it. What could that be? I have never had any sort of surgery, so I might be over thinking or making something out of nothing. I just need some piece of mind. I won't be to the surgeon's office until next Friday. Thanks! Late June Sleeve Buddies?
missengineer replied to Maggie143's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on the 29th. I think I'm doing great for the most part and I have yet to go to my 1st post-op appointment. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using the BariatricPal App -
So far, no regrets for the surgery itself. I'm only 8 days post-op, though. Yes, the constant discomfort from gas is bothersome but I hope it will get less frequent at some point. Perhaps, I regret not doing it sooner and/or gotten to the point where I needed the surgery. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using the BariatricPal App
