    Pre-Op Fears

I'm so sorry about your support system. It does produce a lot of fears from our families, whether that be fear of being left behind, fear of you dying or whatever, but I think ultimately they will be happy because we will most likely be happier with ourselves. My family had some fears initially (mostly my daughter), but once they realized it was a pretty safe procedure, they got on board. Will say a prayer for you that your support system will come through in the end with flying colors! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Thank you for your support. It means a lot. I'm scared

To be honest I have felt the same way at times. However, I just try to remind myself why I am doing this, for me, to be healthier. It is not the easy way out, it takes self control, and facing the struggle everyday of changing bad habits. Bariatric surgery is a tool it does not fix the problem of being obese, it helps prevent over eating and helps with weight loss but one can fall back into old eating habits if they do not remember everything they learn along the way. Do what is best for you and stay strong. Sent from my SM-G928R4 using the BariatricPal App
  8. I have heard that the fusion Vitamins are great and can be bought on line. I have also heard the Syntex Protein powder taste pretty good Sent from my SM-G928R4 using the BariatricPal App
  9. I agree, rest and push fluids warm and cold. Try honey and lemon in decaf tea it will help sore throat. I recommend this to my patients at work, I am a nurse. Hope you feel better. Sent from my SM-G928R4 using the BariatricPal App

  12. I am not scheduled for surgery yet but I started this journey back on May 12th, and I am at the point where we are meeting and starting to discuss the possibility of dates in September and I am getting nervous, and excited along with having a few concerns about money with cost of surgery. Anyone else ever feel this way? Sent from my SM-G928R4 using the BariatricPal App
