I am 1 week out today. HW 238 SW 230 CW 225 Age 47 5'6 When do you start to see steady weight loss begin? I am 2 weeks post-op Tuesday I lost 5pounds within the first 4 days and have not lost since. I went up and down within that 5 lbs. I have been getting in 64 ounces of Water and 50 to 60 g of Protein at this point as well as keeping my calories 500 to 650. My Surgeons packet estimated the first 10 days you should lose 10 to 15 pounds but I am not at that so of course I'm a little frustrated but I so understand that everyone is different. I know something is happening because my clothes are fitting looser. But like everyone on here at one time you want to see it confirmed on the scale Has anyone else experienced this with in the first couple weeks? I came on today to ask the very same question. I am two weeks post op Tuesday. I'm 5'6 - SW was 230 and today I am 225. I haven't moved in days and was fully expecting to lose 10-15 lbs in the first 10 days like my surgeons packet estimated. I am drinking 64 ounces of Water and taking in at least 60 grams of Protein also eating between 500-650 calories. So I know I'm doing the right thing. @ this is a great app but not the easiest to use. It sounds like you are doing great. I am really amazed how well I feel because I am no spring chicken at 47 years old. How's the weight loss going? Yes. It's from the pain meds. Add a capful if Miralax in your drink. Takes about 2-3 days sometimes to kick in. But I had victory today 5 days post op. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
