Hi... I'm feeling really frustrated! I was banded on March 7th, and had a small fill on April 7th. I've only lost 24lbs. I barely eat anything, and am hungry most of the time. I go for walks about 3-4 times a week, but we have had some horrible weather... snow and wind!! Ya think by starving the body, the weight would come off fast. I am hoping to loose another 100lbs. I'm wondering if I should get another fill, because I right now, I eat such a small amount, but only because I'm scared of throwing up or having those horrible burps. I haven't experience a feeling of being full yet, and usually about 1-2hrs after I eat, I'm hungry again so I drink lots of Water and wait until the next meal. Talk about controlling myself! But I'm scared I'm going to loose it one day and eat a pizza or a big burger!! Am I loosing my mind??:confused2:

Thank you very much for all your feedback. I really appreciate your support. I do get impatient with myself, and after this, I've decided to just weigh myself once a week. I think I've been to obsessed with the scale. I have registered at the fitday website, and that will help too. Thanks again! Debbie

5 Days Post Op & sharp pains! (not shoulder tip)

Hello... sounds just like what happened to me. It was the gas that they used to bloat the belly to access your stoma to attach the band. What helped me was taking lots of deep breaths. I also laid on my back, then side while I did the deep breathing. I would take a really deep breath and hold it for as long as I could then slowly let it out. Try that. I was banded on March 7th, and I had the sharp pains for just over a week. I drank tons of water. That also helped with the constipation. you might want to try some good old fashion prune juice! Good luck! -

I suffer from migraines too. Have you tried imitrex, or something similar? You usually have to take it when you get the signs of a migraine for it too work, but I love that stuff. You can get it either in tablet form, nose spray or you can give yourself a little needle. Good luck. Ice packs are wonderful too!! ;o) -
1 week post-op: how many lbs lost?
alwaysmile_n replied to LiseSeattle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's great to see that I'm not the only one suffering. I can't tell if I'm hungry or if it's gas! The surgeon up here in BC... Canada, likes his patients on clear fluids for 1 month. I don't think I'll last a full month. He says it's best for healing and getting started for weightloss. Sometimes I feel like an addict... wanting a fix... but like an addict who wants to change, I will need to change my surroundings for a while, and like you all say.... those damn food commercials! Take care... debbie from way up north, where we have lots of snow!
