I was sleeved on June 27 and I have lost 80lbs. It's so great to hear all the success stories. I can only eat 4-5 bites at a time. Mentally it's hard because I want to eat more but I know if I do it will come up or I will hurt. One thing I have worse now after surgery is heartburn. I always had it before but now it is so much worse. Anyone else have this?? I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and I hope you have. Merry Christmas! I love this forum. I'm glad to know that some of the symptoms I have are normal. I am 6 weeks post op and I have lost 47 lbs. I am almost halfway of my goal. I'm just waiting for the 'stall' to happen. I am only able to eat 2-3 bites at a time. And small bites. It takes me about 2 hours to get a 10oz protein drink down. I have started eating soft foods but everything upsets my stomach. I do drink about 50oz of water a day. By mid afternoon I am exhausted. I am 4 days post op. I have very little pain. Had to do the dye test 3 times so three times the dye which made me very sick. At first cold hurt but it's getting easier to get down. Popcicles are my friend right now. It seems to be the only thing that does not hurt going down. It's getting easier and I know day by day it will only get easier. Got to leave hospital about 8am today. Came back to hotel. Nurses and doctor have seen me three times today. Finishing last iv. Have dye test and xray tomorrow. Not looking forward to drinking dye. If all good I'll fly home Thursday. I hace been tryingvall day to get dowm 5 oz of water. I am not hungry at all. Cold seems to hurt worse but they said to drink cold. Helps with swelling. I had 4 others in my group. A couple of them did not follow diet and they seemed to be really sick after surgery. Myself and couple others followed diet and we have had no trouble. Being a single mom I realized I need to be healthy so I can do more with my kids and be around longer for them. I come from a family of everyone is obese. We know how to cook and we like to eat. I was in pain all the time, no energy, and depressed. After my divorce I realized my kids needed me more. I need to regain my life and help my kids live a healthy life. I do not want them to have the struggles I have had my whole life. I'm looking forward to a healthier lifestyle and being the best mom I can be.
