Yes u have to remove them but as soon as survey is over you can put them back in. I had a few body piercings and I had to remove all of them and if you don't then that can cause problems in surgery. Something about the electric with the piercing metal and the instruments they use. If you think they may close up then go to a piercing shop & see of they have a plastic piece to use while ur in surgery. HOPE this helps. ????

Hi realitykrys,I'm sorry for delay..it's hard to find the responses and new feed that comes thru. Im still learning this app too Lol. But that is awesome! I weighed myself Sunday and I was down 5 lbs but nor weighing myself again till in the morning ..I'm hoping to be down like you miss lady!

RealityKrys, Yes this 1st week im trying to improvise. I hv made a batch of sugar free chocolate pudding,strawberry Jello and even strawberry/banana smoothie. I am trying to get enough Protein as well. So i hv the shakes and i add it to my smoothies. I love Water too and this whole sipping is crazy but a must...i cant wait to get cleared to workout. How are your incissions...mine are fine my abdomen just a little sore but the pain meds take that away. I am going to weigh myself Friday as that will be a week that I hv had my surgery. This will be an exciting journey...let's keep in touch..I'm just a hop & skip away in Florida. Best of luck! FlGal78 My incisions are good. Tender, but not bothersome. I've been instructed to do Clear liquids for the first two weeks. I need to find out from my surgeon of it will be ok to smoothies now. I so bored with the lack of variety. I'll be in FL in July. Think positive,be positive!!How is going so far? Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App Its going really good...I am very happy with my decision and I,had acid reflux when I came home but my Dr gave me a,rx for that and it took care of that..after surgery I was,fine no pain just sore in my abdomen...the gas was,minimal and was basically gone after walking the halls.

Oh wow 90 grams well I need to intake more I think I'm at 60 grams...I'm so glad u r doing well! I go next week for my follow up appt...I will be receiving my Vitamins as well...I'll try those shakes as well!

Yes,we are on the same boat..My surgery was 6/17 and I feel like I didn't really go thru intensive surgery...I had a little acid reflux and sore throat but that went away same day. But the dry mouth sucked! I am feeling just fine and normal...just trying to make sure my Protein intake is on point and all my liquids are where they need to be! Congrsts on your new journey!!

Hi everyone I had my Vsg on 6/17/16. I can honestly say only issue I had was when I got home was acid reflux. Has anyone else had to deal with this? also how much protein are you taking in? The day I got out of surgery and went from recovery to my room,I asked to go walk and they nurse was shocked but I actually felt fine just wanted to mk sure any gas I had I wanted to get out. So I walked a little and then was bk in my room because they didn't want me to overdo it..but any chance I got I walked and it really helped! I am so happy I made this decision and looking forward to the new journey and also having support from a wonderful group like this!

I am doing well also..Its funny after surgery I was like did I really just have surgery??!! I asked to walk once I got to my room after being in recovery...I didn't hv a lot of gas but my throat was sore but that went away the same day. My only issue was the acid reflux. I,had it bad on Sunday but then it got better and it comes and goes but that's about it. How much protein are you intakng? I am trying my best to enough protein but I guess that will get better day by day...how long where u in hospital and how where you after surgery?
